Abstract

This study aims to measure the extent of the benefits of technological development as a means of academic evaluation. On this occasion, the researcher chose the Kahoot program as a model, a game-based smartphone learning program used as a school and educational stream designed by two scientists from the University of Norway. Researchers use the program of using the Kahoot program in the implementation process for students participating in Arabic language training courses at the Language Center of the State Islamic University of Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, the results of the study show that this program is of great use to teachers when they show tables that are more effective and efficient, because of the program. It is easy to use question setting by teachersand teachers. It is reliable and can predict the results of decisions after students have answered questions. Apart from that, this program also provides students with fun games such as game programs and can also be accessed easily via smartphones. Researchers hope that this study's results can provide additional information and input for teachers to increase the use of technology in the online teaching and learning process, especially during the Covid-19 epidemic, so that the teaching and learning process is more exciting effective.

Abstract

The legend of Puragabaya is part of the Galunggung Tasikmalaya folklore which has the potential of Sundanese cultural wealth and needs to be revitalized to maintain its existence. The legend of Puragabaya tells of a special warrior figure Prabu Siliwangi who was educated and forged physically and mentally at the Galunggung Invisibility Pesantren. The figure of Puragabaya contains elements of wisdom, persistence, and tenacity, representing the cultural and social values of the Galunggung community. The revitalization of legends in this study was represented through the videography of poetry musicals. The process of revitalizing the Puragabaya legend is based on the concept of art-based research which aims to present the form of the Puragabaya. The implementation of art-based research to revitalize legends involves the process of creating literary works of art and literary performances consisting of poetry musicalization, poetry reading, and poetry dramatization. In addition, painting and dance work as a form of legend representation are collaborated into videography to add aesthetic power. The results of the study show that the process of revitalizing legends as part of oral literature shows more concrete results by using art-based research that utilizes technological developments.

Abstract

Tolerance for Ambiguity (TfA) which is commonly involved in the field of Human Resources in industry has been adopted in the development of the quality of foreign language learning, especially foreign language acquisition by learners. In this study, the reference is French language which is limited by Subject Verb Agreement involving the periodic verb [+Present]. There are two research objectives, namely (1) to describe the tendency of TfA level at the beginning of the lecture and (3) to describe the students' efforts in developing TfA. The results of the study using a qualitative descriptive approach show that, first, the students have a high level of TfA although the students still make mistakes in French but the problem is not too significant because the suffixes representing the features of Tense [+Present], Person [+1P, +2P, +3P] and Number [±Plural] on verbs from the grammar area Subject Verb Agreement (SVA). Secondly, a high level of TfA is well-established by the students because they have the ability to maintain and develop the aspect of efforts to master SVA in French.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing Model based on local wisdom of the principles of silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh in learning to write commercial posters related to the Indonesian creative economy for junior high school/Islamic junior high school students. The research method used is the research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The results of the study showed that students need a process of interaction and communication in learning. The validation results of the development of the Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing model based on local wisdom have a model assessment percentage of 98.3%, media materials of 91.7%, evaluation of 96.7%, the development of this model is categorized as "Very Feasible". The results of the model trial showed a significant difference in student learning outcomes in the pre-test and post-test. The responses of teachers and students to the use of this model showed a positive response. The Thinking Working Scaffolding Sharing model based on local wisdom can facilitate the learning process by involving good interaction and communication between students and teachers, so that it can increase students' creativity and critical thinking by the objectives of 21st century learning.
