Abstract

Manajemen nyeri yang tidak terkontrol pada bayi akan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan selanjutnya. Salah satu tindakan manajemen nyeri non-farmakologi yang aman bagi bayi prematur adalah facilitated tucking dan pemberian musik. Penelitian ini untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh kombinasi fasilitated tucking dan musik dalam mengurangi respon nyeri dan durasi menangis bayi prematur saat pengambilan darah. Rancangan kuasi eksperimen dengan pos-ttest control group design dipilih. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 60 bayi prematur yang dirawat di rumah sakit dan dilakukan pengambilan darah.  Uji hipotesis menggunakan independent t-test. Kelompok intervensi diberikan facilitated tucking dan musik ketika pengambilan darah. Pengukuran nyeri menggunakan Premature Infant Pain Profile (PIPP) dan durasi menangis diukur dalam detik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor nyeri bayi adalah 7,03 pada kelompok intervensi dan 12,4 pada kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata durasi menangis bayi pada kelompok intervensi adalah 68,5 detik dan kelompok kontrol adalah 105 detik. Uji t menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna skor nyeri p 0,000 (α=0,05) dan durasi menangis 0,009 (α=0,05) bayi premature antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. DIsimpulkan bahwa facilitated tucking dan musik telah mengurangi respon nyeri dan durasi tangisan bayi prematur ketika pengambilan darah.

Abstract

Pemberian makanan tambahan bagi bayi pada 1 tahun pertama usianya mendasari pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi pada waktu-waktu selanjutnya. Pemberian makanan ini menjadi penting untuk diperhatikan oleh orang tua terutama ibu agar tercapai pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi yang optimal. Perilaku pemberian makanan tambahan bagi bayi dilatarbelakangi oleh banyak faktor diantaranya pengetahuan, pengalaman, kepercayaan, keadaan sosial ekonomi dan keadaan geografi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman keluarga dalam pemberian nutrisi bagi bayi pada tahun pertama di daerah pedesaan. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Data kualitatif didapatkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologis yang menekankan pada interpretatif secara individu, ditunjukkan dalam perilaku tertentu di masyarakat. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 tema antara lain faktor-faktor pendorong keluarga dalam pemberian ASI bagi bayi pada umur 6 bulan pertama, faktor-faktor penghambat keluarga dalam pemberian ASI bagi bayi sampai umur 6 bulan pertama, faktor pendorong pemberian makanan tambahan pendamping ASI sebelum anak mencapai usia 6 bulan, faktor pendukung keluarga memilih jenis makanan pertama bagi bayi, serta tingkat pertumbuhan anak pada tahun pertama di daerah pedesaan.

Abstract

Pain is a subjective feeling and an unpleasant experience. In neonates, pain that is not handled properly can cause short-term and long-term effects. Repeated pain can affect the development of the baby later on. The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between knowledge, attitudes of nurses and the practice of pain management in neonates. Method: The design of this study was descriptive associative with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study involved 119 nurses who work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Data analysis using the Pearson correlation statistic test by identifying the relationship between respondent characteristics, knowledge, nurse attitudes and the practice of pain management in neonates. Results: Knowledge of nurses about pain management in neonates in the adequate category was 37%, nurses had negative attitudes towards pain management as much as 52.1%, and nurses who performed pain management well as much as 51.3%. There is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes of nurses and the practice of pain management in neonates (r = 0.715; p value = 0,000) and (r = 0.659; p value = 0,000). There is a need for a neonatal pain management training for nurses worked in high-risk neonatal ward to improve nurses' knowledge and attitudes.

Abstract

Introduction: The rapid growth of number of COVID-19 cases every day has made the condition of health workers increasingly depressed. These conditions can affect the level of anxiety and work stress. A study involving health workers caring for Covid-19 patient showed anxiety symptoms and work stress experience. The existence of anxiety and work stress can have an impact on increasing work errors, deteriorating physical and mental conditions, reducing productivity and  decreasing service’s quality. This study aims to describe the anxiety level and work stress of health workers during Covid-19 pandemic at the Public Health Center (Puskesmas). Methods: This research was a descriptive survey study with 156 respondents from nine Puskesmas obtained through cluster and quota sampling calculation. Data was taken using Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42) and workplace Stress Scale (WSS) questionnaires which distributed via google form. Results: The results of this study obtained 16.7% of Puskesmas health workers experience anxiety consisting of 5.8% mild, 7.7% moderate, 2.6% severe and 0.6% very severe anxiety. Meanwhile, the work stress study obtained as many as 68.7% experience work stress, consisting of low 35.3%, moderate 27.6%, and heavy work stress 5.8%. Conclusion: Failure to manage anxiety and work stress can have a negative impact on mental health and can even endanger the lives of health workers. The findings in this study indicate risk for mental health disorders for health workers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. So it is necessary for relevant agencies and also individual itself, to manage anxiety and work stress.

Abstract

Postpartum is a condition in which the reproductive organs return to normal which takes 6 weeks. The feeling of discomfort in postpartum mothers occurs because of the sensation of pain that is often complained of. One way to increase comfort for postpartum mothers is by providing non-pharmacological therapies, namely massage and listening to music. Music can provide impulses or stimuli that can override the pain signals. The literature review aims to describe the type of music that can increase the comfort of postpartum mothers. The method used is a literature review study. The database used from several journals and articles with a search process through Pubmed, Proquest, Springlink, Scopus, Google Scholar. The criteria for inclusion in this search were the year the articles were published, starting from 2010 to 2020. The type of classical music that has a medical connection is Mozart's music. Mozart music with a frequency of 40-60 Hz, tempo 60-80 bpm. Music therapy is given for approximately 20-30 minutes to produce a therapeutic effect with a period of twice a day for 2 days using headphones. Music used to increase comfort and reduce the anxiety that has a slow tempo, notes that are not too high or too low, has a low volume and is rhythmic with a simple arrangement, and a stable melody. The provision of music therapy, especially Mozart adagio classical music, affects reducing anxiety levels and reducing pain intensity so that it can provide a sense of comfort to postpartum mothers.

Abstract

The incident of burns in children aged 1-4 years is risk get disabled and death. This is caused the children still do not understand about the danger and handling it. The role of a mother is important to give first aid to reduce the severity. First aid for burns that are still often given use such as toothepaste, saliva, coffe, soy sauce and margarine. The purpose of this study to describe the experience of mothers provide first aid in burns of children aged 1-4 years. This study was use qualitative phenomenologycal method. The sampel of this study was a mother have children aged 1-4 years who had suffered burn injury in periode of less than 9 mounth determined by the purposive sampling method. Collecting data was conducted by a in-depth interviews to 7 respondens. After 7 inteviews, found six main themes were identified: (1) first aid, (2) burns, (3) burns reaction, (4) psychological impact, (5) mother's perception of burns, (6) actions to reduce injury. Classification of burns found are mild to moderate burns. First aid for burns done by mothers using aloe vera, water, cooking oil, toothpaste, and tender care (oriflamme). The mother’s reaction to knowing that her child had burns was panic, worry, shoock, and pain. First aid for child burns given by the mother using aloe vera, water, cooking oil, toothpaste, and tender care (oriflamme).

Abstract

The behavior of having snacks while at school is a routine activity especially for elementary school students. Such behavior consists of knowledge, attitude, and action. One of the methods that can be applied in order to lessen the negative effects of consuming snacks is the health education using attractive media, such as snakes and ladders game. The purpose of this study is to comprehend the effects of health education using snakes and ladders game on student behavior in selecting snacks at Bulusan State Elementary School, Tembalang. This is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest without control group design. The population was all students from the 4th grade in Bulusan State Elementary School and consisted of 37 students who were selected using consecutive sampling method based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data was taken using questionnaire about knowledge, attitude, and action which were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical analysis with the significant level of 0.05. The results shows that health education using snakes and ladder game affected the increase of knowledge with overall difference 5.308 (p=0.000), the increase of attitude with overall difference 4.813 (p=0.000), and the increase of action with overall difference 4.929 (p=0.000). It can be concluded that the health education using snakes and ladders game affects the student behavior in selecting snacks. It is suggested that the school officials use snakes and ladders as the media in giving information to the students.

Abstract

Health education is one important component in caring for children with surgical cases. Health education is done to clients and families as an intervention of various nursing problems that appear both pre and post surgery. This study aims to find out how the implementation of health education provided by nurses to families of child surgical clients. This research method is descriptive qualitative phenomenology by using in-depth interview. The number of participants was 5 nurses. The amount is determined after the researchers assume that the research data saturated. The research produced five themes: preoperative health education, postoperative health education, postoperative nutrition, surgical wound care and post operative post pain. The health education provided by the majority nurses is physical. Psychosocial should also be a topic in health education provided by nurses to clients of children and their families.

Abstract

Di masa pandemi virus corona, karantina diterapkan sebagai pedoman penting untuk pencegahan penyakit di berbagai negara. Terlepas dari manfaatnya, karantina juga menimbulkan komplikasi dan permasalahan. Dengan adanya pandemi COVID-19, terdapat kebijakan berupa penutupan sekolah dan penghentian sementara interaksi belajar tatap muka atau pembelajaran luring. Hal ini menyebabkan anak-anak dan remaja memiliki waktu senggang dalam jadwal pembelajaran dan kehidupan sosial mereka. Anak-anak dan remaja mengisi waktu senggang mereka dengan bermain video game. Situasi ini membuat intensitas dan waktu yang dihabiskan anak-anak di media sosial dan video game semakin meningkat. Namun, sedikit yang diketahui tentang hubungan antara perkembangan emosional dan waktu yang cenderung dihabiskan anak-anak untuk bermain video game. Oleh sebab itu, makalah ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas bermain video game dengan perkembangan emosional pada anak usia sekolah dasar. Adapaun metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan studi korelasi serta menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4-6 yang bermain video game baik secara online maupun offline. Penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling dengan 163 responden. Berdasarkan analisis data yang menggunakan uji Spearmen-rho didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan antara intensitas bermain video game dengan perkembangan emosional anak usia sekolah dasar. Di sisi lain, mayoritas anak yang bermain video game adalah anak laki-laki di kelas 5 yang umumnya berusia 11 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan orang tua dapat meningkatkan pengawasan dan kesadarannya terhadap anak-anak yang bermain video game terutama terhadap dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan dari video game Kata Kunci : Intensitas Bermain Video game, Perkembangan Emosional, Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar
