Abstract

Jealousy is close to human’s life. Human express it in different levels depending on the cause of the appearance. In this study, jealousy is analysed and exposed in the case of marriage relationship. This study is aimed to find out the cause of the jealousy phenomenon in the movie The Deep Blue Sea. This research used descriptive qualitative method to analyse deeply about jealousy depicted in the movie The Deep Blue Sea. The data analysis technique was taken from Miles ad Huberman’s theory. This psychoanalysis research used the theory of Kingham and Gordon to analyse cause of jealousy. The result showed that jealousy in the movie was caused by locus of causality, controllability and stability. Besides, the affiliation concerning jealousy and protections was considerably sturdier for males than for females. It was defined that a relationship regarding jealousy as well as self-confidence did indisputably be existent, hitherto this was simply the instance for females. For males, jealousy was originated to be essentially associated with practice of defence.

Abstract

The Employment Skills Education Program (PKK) is a government assistance program that aims to prepare human resources who are skilled, have character, are competitive, and have the ability to innovate. This is an aid to industry-based courses and training and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through the results of initial observations that have been made, graduated students of English Literature Faculty of Letters UNARS do not have special courses on skills as a tour guide. Through the English for Tour Guide Training program those who are interested in following the skills as a tour guide are included as participants in the 2021 PKK program and will be trained to have competence as a tour guide. PKM program participants who gain the skills to become tour guides will be very useful as their provision to find work. In collaboration with the AUSEI course institution as a service partner for PKM activities, it is hoped that later PKK program participants will have a competency certificate to work. This training and mentoring are carried out for approximately three months where students are given English language guidance and training that focuses on the English for Tour Guide material. During the training, students also had the opportunity to discuss and ask questions if they encountered problems during the training to reach the right solution. The expected outcome of this PKM activity is that students have special skills in English about English for Guides as evidenced by a certificate of competence. Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu upaya pemberian solusi atas permasalahan yang ada pada mitra yaitu MTS Nurul Hikam, dalam rangka mendukung upaya agar siswanya mampu menjawab cepat dan benar soal ujian nasional bahasa Inggris yang berbasis komputer. Hasil pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas siswa dan nilai akhir ujian nasional mereka. Dari hasil observasi awal yang telah dilakukan, MTS Nurul Hikam Kesambirampak Kapongan Situbondo terpilih menjadi mitra kegiatan PKM dikarenakan kemampuan dan pemahaman siswa dalam pelajaran bahasa Inggris yang kurang sehingga membuat nilai Bahasa Inggris mereka rendah, yang dilihat dari hasil ujian tryout mereka. Untuk mengupayakan peningkatan nilai bahasa Inggris siswa maka haruslah diberikan pelatihan trik menjawab soal bahasa Inggris. Siswa kelas IX akan mendapatkan pelatihan dalam menjawab soal-soal ujian bahasa Inggris berbasis komputer dengan menggunakan teknik predicting dan scanning. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan kurang lebih selama tiga bulan dimana siswa diberikan bimbingan secara detail tentang trik menjawab soal bahasa Inggris. Selama pelatihan, siswa juga mendapat kesempatan untuk berdiskusi dan bertanya jika ada permasalahan untuk mencapai solusi yang tepat. Luaran yang diharapkan dari pelatihan ini siswa belajar mandiri melalui soal-soal latihan Ujian Nasional.

Abstract

Psychoanalysis is the study of human nature and personality. The purpose of this research is to find the personality of main character and the factor of personality development in the Movie Moana. This research used descriptive qualitative method by Creswell. The analysis was started by explaining the id, ego and super-ego by Sigmund Freud in Calvin S. Hall (1954), identifying with the factor of personality development by Kuravati and Malipatil (2017) and making conclusion. The results of the analysis showed that there are eleven data in this thesis which include the structural personality (id, ego and super-ego). The researcher found some factors that indicated to development of Moana’s personality that are heredity from individual factor and physical environment, family environment, cultural environment and social role from environment. Moana can cross the ocean because she wanted to save people of Motunui from economic down turn. This movie has some messages about the desire of child. Therefore, the researcher suggested the next researcher to do further research. This research also expected to enrich the knowledge of the reader about psychoanalysis.

Abstract

This research identified types of bullying and impacts of bullying in Cyberbully movie. The design of this study is qualitative. The method is used to describe and analyze bullying in movie Cyberbully. The data collection was done by watching Cyberbully movie, screen capturing the scenes, and writing down the utterances indicating both the types and impact of bullying. The data analysis was done by classifying the types of bullying in Cyberbully movie by using the theory National Centre against Bullying (2010), finding the impact of bullying in Cyberbully movie by using the theory of Rigby (2003). The finding of the research found  that  there  were  twenty  data  for  three  types  of  bullying  on  the  main character in movie Cyberbullying: Verbal bullying, Social bullying ,and Cyberbullying. Here the researchers also managed to find twenty-four data for the impact of bullying which consists of three types, namely: low psychological well-being, poor social adjustment, and psychological distress.
