Abstract

Sistem pendingin refrigeransi merupakan mesin pendingin dan salah satu perangkat bantu yang ada di kapal sebagai penunjang kelancaran pengoperasian kapal, dan memiliki fungsi yang penting, khususnya pendingin bahan makanan yang merupakan kebutuhan utama di atas kapal bagi seluruh Anak Buah Kapal (ABK). Sistem tersebut digunakan untuk menyerap panas pada ruangan tertentu sehingga suhu menjadi lebih rendah daripada suhu lingkungan. Prinsip kerja dari sistem ini adalah memindahkan panas dari reservoir bersuhu tinggi ke reservoir bersuhurendah. Sehinggs ruangan dapat digunakan untuk penyimpanan seperti halnya kulkas.Setiap mesin memerlukan perawatan secara berkala supaya tetap dalam kinerja yang baik. Dalam jurnal ini akan diperlihatkan pengaruh maintenance terhadap kinerja sistem pendingin refrigerasi

Abstract

There are still many dumpling cracker makers who are generally done at home as a small home industry where they still use human labor to make the dough so that it takes a lot of energy and a long time, the use of human labor causes a lack of time efficiency and the possibility of decreased hygiene. Seeing these problems, the community service team of the D3 Engineering study program at the Maritime University of Amni Seamarang provided solutions to these problems by designing tools and providing training in the operation of the dough mixer to accelerate the production process and increase the hygienic value of production. The result of this service is a double stirring of the dumpling cracker dough which increases the speed of the kneading production process for 30 minutes / dough.

Abstract

The incidence of fishing vessel accidents is a very complex problem, namely in the form of human factors caused by the captain and crew, engine factors in the form of ships and safety equipment, and natural factors in the form of weather and utilization of fishery resources. The method used in this training activity is through an outreach approach and the delivery of further material by practicing the use of safety equipment on board. The counseling strategy can be done by means of lectures, and practicum activities where participants are taught to practice how to use the safety equipment on board, namely life-saving appliances in the form of life jackets, lifebuoys, thermal protective aids, other methods used are discussed or question and answer. This community service activity uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The management used is by identifying, planning, organizing, and acting. The planning and organizing stages are carried out so that activities run on the target, effectively, and efficiently, the next stage is implementation and action in the field in the form of safety education for fishermen. the impact of the activity is evaluated during and after the implementation of the activity. The description of the impact of the activity is descriptive qualitative in the form of things that can be seen and felt by all parties involved in the activity. Basic Safety Training (BST) training activities have been carried out and run smoothly both from the process of delivering materials, training processes, discussion, and evaluation processes. The fishing community can understand various types of safety equipment and the importance of using safety equipment in accordance with the explanation from the speaker so that it is expected to be applied when working on fishing boats. Abstract

In addition to knowing the various types of machining components that exist, operators are required to know the maintenance and be able to measure each component so that the diesel engine's performance does not experience problems that result in decreased engine performance. Meanwhile, the supporting components of the diesel engine are like cylinder liners, because the cylinder liner components determine the volume of the cylinder and the performance of the diesel engine. The shape of the cylinder liner is like a tube where the manufacturing process uses a horizontal centrifugal casting process. Horizontal Centrifugal casting process is a casting process for making cylinder liners by pouring molten metal into a rotating mold. Implementation of Top Overhaul on diesel engines is carried out by opening the cylinder head or the top of the engine. The parts examined include the rocker arm, inlet and exhaust valves, injectors, air starting valves and push rods. Top Overhaul is carried out when the working hours of the diesel engine have worked with around 6,000 hours of work. Major Overhaul maintenance, which includes inspection, maintenance and inspection carried out on all Top Overhaul works and on the piston, connecting rod, piston ring, seated metal and road metal. Major Overhaul maintenance is carried out when the diesel engine has 12,000 working hours according to the Diesel Engine Intruction Book. In the cylinder liner often occurs damage or looseness which is commonly referred to as abrasion, erosion and corrosion. Because of that the cylinder liner requires maintenance and measurement using an inside micrometer tool. From the results of the measurements and maintenance on the cylinder liner, the calculation of the consistency, taper and wear was obtained, to find out the specifications or exceed the limits specified in the Main Engine Intruction Book on the ship.

Abstract

This study focuses on the management of gear pump maintenance on KM Kelimutu ship. Data collection methods are used to identify and investigate the causes of damage that occur in the gear pump. The required maintenance and repair actions are determined based on the analysis results. The process of managing maintenance involves several important steps. First, planning is carried out to determine the planned maintenance actions. Subsequently, organization is conducted by appointing responsible personnel and coordinating with relevant parties to minimize disruptions to the maintenance of equipment and other machinery on the ship. Furthermore, actuating involves efforts to ensure that all human resources work according to their tasks, functions, and competencies in order to achieve company goals. Finally, control is implemented through supervision of each job performed to identify and rectify any potential errors. The results of this study provide insights into the importance of gear pump maintenance and effective strategies in managing the maintenance process. By implementing the appropriate steps, it is expected to enhance the performance of the gear pump, extend its service life, and optimize operational efficiency in the industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya pencegahan terhadap pencemaran air laut yang berasal dari pembuangan limbah air dari kamar mesin kapal. Oil water separator merupakan salah satu peralatan yang dapat digunakan untuk mencegahan pencemaran yang berasal dari kamar mesin. Apabila minyak kotor yang bercampur dengan air laut dibuang melalui OWS, maka minyak kotor yang berasal dari limbah air got kamar mesinsetelah melewati OWS maka limbah air got yang dibuang ke laut sudah aman bagi lingkungan karena kandungan campuran minyak dan kadar minyak tidak melebihi dari 15 PPM. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen perawatan dan perbaikan OWS untuk mencegah terjadinya pencemaran di laut pada KM. Lawit. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif karena untuk menggambarkan bagaimana manajemen perawatan OWS untuk mencegah terjadinya pencemaran di laut pada KM. Lawit secara lebih rinci dan jelas sedangkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan perawatan pada OWS di KM. Lawit perlu dilakukannya manajemen perawatan yang meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan serta yang terakhir pengawasan pada saat mengoperasikan OWS.

Abstract

The research conducted is an analysis of the effect of the main engine rotation (main engine) which tends to change during operation on the exhaust temperature of the main engine on a container ship with a weight of 35981GT. We conducted this research on a container ship KM SPIL Citra PT Salam Pacific Indonesia route during a cruise from Balik Papan Port, East Kalimantan to Bitung Port, North Sulawesi. The purpose of this research is to understand and find out how the main engine speed is determined accordingly so that the main engine exhaust gas is stable and not too high which causes the main engine performance decrease. The test is carried out when the ship is sailing in the middle of the sea in full away condition, the main propulsion engine (main engine) operates at 0.52 Rpm to 57 Rpm with an average running hour for each round of 4 hours. The maximum exhaust gas temperature obtained is 260 C. and the minimum temperature obtained is 230 C with an average temperature of cooling seawater and constant engine room temperature. The conclusion is known that the higher the main engine rotation, the higher the exhaust gas temperature of the main engine so that it is necessary to pay attention to the maximum Rpm limit of the engine so that high temperatures do not occur.
