Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how to optimize marine insurance claims as well as the appropriate procedures in the marine cargo insurance claim process and methods in preparing insurance claim documents into accurate and complete documents so that the insurance company that bears all losses is more optimal by the insurance claims. with the details of the calculation of the value of insurance claims that have been insured. This research is divided into three lines of thought, namely identification, and formulation of problems, analysis and discussion, and research results. Identify and formulate problems by identifying possible problems that occur during the claim submission process. Based on the results of this identification then formulate the problem to be discussed in the study. Analysis and discussion by conducting the process of analysis and discussion of the problems that occur through the literature and collecting the necessary data. the next step is a discussion of the problems faced by covering the procedures and stages of filing a claim, the method adopted, and the evaluation method used for optimizing insurance claims. This study uses a qualitative method approach and a descriptive design is used to explain the process, the sample is taken at the shipping company PT. ABC, the representation is expected to be given by this sample. After using descriptive data analysis, the research results obtained that the insurance claim process must pay attention to the person in charge of carrying out marine cargo insurance claims; Types of compensation that can be submitted in the insurance claim process; Requirements in the process of filing an insurance claim, and the evidence that must be prepared to file an insurance claim. In addition, the loss must be filed immediately considering the deadline for submitting an insurance claim. The essence of the claim for ship cargo is compensation paid by the losses borne by the insurer to repair the suffering of the insured from loss of property.

Abstract

Pelabuhan memiliki peranan penting dalam perekonomian negara untuk menciptakan pertumbuhan ekonominya. Pelabuhan adalah tempat yang terdiri atas daratan dan perairan disekitarnya dengan batas–batas tertentu sebagai tempat kegiatan pemerintahan dan kegiatan pengusahaan yang dipergunakan sebagai tempat kapal bersandar, naik turun penumpang dan bongkar muat barang, berupa terminal yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas keselamatan/keamanan pelayaran dan kegiatan penunjang pelabuhan serta sebagai tempat perpindahan intra dan antra moda transportasi. Penelitian ini berupaya uintuk menerangkan secara deskriptif terkait optimalisasi relokasi penanganan peti kemas yang dilakukan di pelabuhan untuk menunjang kelancaran proses bongkar muat dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan desain penelitian deskriptif sampel diambil PT. ABC sebagai sebuah representasi yang nantinya akan diambil sebagai sebuah tempat untuk mengetes desain penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan konsep purposiveness yang sesuai. Berdasarkan Analisis data secara deskriptif diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut : yaitu persiapan-persiapan yang dilakukan dalam aktivitas pemeriksaan container dan pelaksanaan aktivitas penanganan container sampai selesai termasuk relokasi hingga ke container yard hambatan yang mempengaruhi aktivitas relokasi container yaitu sinyal wi-fi untuk tablet sering error (kehilangan sinyal) sehingga kerani lapangan gagal update status di system, lalu ditulis di surat jalan dan banyak bongkaran yang belum ter-input datanya rekomendasi bagi perusashaan dharapkan memahami pelakasanaan persiapan untuk pembongkaran dan penanganan hambatan secara komperehensif dan holistic secara optimal agar dapat menekan resiko keterlambatan proses bongkar

Abstract

There are still many dumpling cracker makers who are generally done at home as a small home industry where they still use human labor to make the dough so that it takes a lot of energy and a long time, the use of human labor causes a lack of time efficiency and the possibility of decreased hygiene. Seeing these problems, the community service team of the D3 Engineering study program at the Maritime University of Amni Seamarang provided solutions to these problems by designing tools and providing training in the operation of the dough mixer to accelerate the production process and increase the hygienic value of production. The result of this service is a double stirring of the dumpling cracker dough which increases the speed of the kneading production process for 30 minutes / dough.

Abstract

The incidence of fishing vessel accidents is a very complex problem, namely in the form of human factors caused by the captain and crew, engine factors in the form of ships and safety equipment, and natural factors in the form of weather and utilization of fishery resources. The method used in this training activity is through an outreach approach and the delivery of further material by practicing the use of safety equipment on board. The counseling strategy can be done by means of lectures, and practicum activities where participants are taught to practice how to use the safety equipment on board, namely life-saving appliances in the form of life jackets, lifebuoys, thermal protective aids, other methods used are discussed or question and answer. This community service activity uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. The management used is by identifying, planning, organizing, and acting. The planning and organizing stages are carried out so that activities run on the target, effectively, and efficiently, the next stage is implementation and action in the field in the form of safety education for fishermen. the impact of the activity is evaluated during and after the implementation of the activity. The description of the impact of the activity is descriptive qualitative in the form of things that can be seen and felt by all parties involved in the activity. Basic Safety Training (BST) training activities have been carried out and run smoothly both from the process of delivering materials, training processes, discussion, and evaluation processes. The fishing community can understand various types of safety equipment and the importance of using safety equipment in accordance with the explanation from the speaker so that it is expected to be applied when working on fishing boats. Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan freight forwarder adalah bertanggung jawab terhadap sistem pengelolaan pengiriman dan pengaturan barang agar menjadi efisien, tepat, dan aman. Kegiatan freight forwarder menjadi satu-kesatuan yang tidak dapat dihilangkan, informasi dan strategi pengurusan dokumen dan prosedur pengiriman bertujuan untuk memberikan jasa pelayanan atau pengurusan atas seluruh kegiatan yang diperlukan. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengkaji bentuk tanggung jawab perusahaan pelayaran dalam menyelesaikan pertanggung jawaban barang yang dimuat yang mungkin akan rusak atau hilang saat termuat dengan menggunakan kapal niaga serta keperluan dokumen apa saja yang diperlukan untuk pengurusannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan deskriptif untuk menjelaskan proses tersebut, sampel diambil di PT. Pelayaran Meratus Line, representasi diharapkan dapat diberikan oleh sampel ini. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, interview, studi pustaka dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara mereduksi data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijabarkan sebagai berikut: PT. Pelayaran Meratus Line melakukan pengurusan dokumen-dokumen untuk barang yang akan di ekspor dan melakukan pembukaan polis asuransi untuk barang muatan yang akan di angkut, sehingga apabila terjadi kerusakan atau kekurangan kelebihan barang bisa diajukan klaim asuransi sehingga tidak menumbulkan kerugian antara kedua belah pihak perusahaan. Rekomendasi manajerial untuk perusahaan adalah dokumen-dokumen yang diperlukan untuk pengajuan klaim asuransi harus dipersiapkan dari awal secara lengkap dengan tujuan ketika terjadi klaim barang antara perusahaan dan pihak asuransi sudah mampu melakukan disposisi laporan secara optimal.

Abstract

Coastal villages have different characteristics from villages in rural areas. This difference is not only on the geographical-ecological aspect, but also on economic and socio-cultural characteristics. Geographically, coastal villages are on the border between land and sea. Geographical-ecological conditions of coastal villages affect economic activities in them. Economic activities in coastal villages are characterized by activities in the utilization of coastal environmental resources and services. Economic activities include fisheries, trade, maritime tourism, and transportation This study seeks to study the application of tough coastal development programs as an effort to build an oriented coastal region to facilitate the economic activities of villages in coastal areas that are expected to reduce the poverty rate of coastal communities in the middle of the city. This study uses a qualitative research design using descriptive methods that intend to explain how the phenomenon of resilient coastal village development and coastal area development as an effort to reduce the number of coastal communities in Central Java province by using purposive sampling sampling techniques and research samples taken in coastal communities The results of the north coast of Java and cilacap districts were as follows: that the implementation of the strong Coastal Village Development Program in the coastal communities of Central Java showed that the three focuses of development activities had been carried out properly. The development activities are resource development, environmental / infrastructure development, and disaster preparedness development. While activities that are not carried out are human development and business development. Abstract

Computer based Traning (CBT) mengacu pada pelatihan dalam bentuk praktik, kursus instruksional, demonstrasi video atau bimbingan yang disampaikan melalui komputer. CBT memiliki fitur-fitur menarik dan interaktif mengenai materi program pelatihan dapat disusun untuk taruna untuk menjawab tugas dan pertanyaan, dan demonstrasi video. Tujuan dari pelatihan CBT agar guru dapat meningkatkan pemahaman pengoperasian CBT sehingga dapat menjadi bekal taruna dalam memenuhi kualitas dan standar pelatihan. Pelatihan dilakukan dalam bentuk ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Metode pelatihan pengenalan fitur dan penggunaan CBT adalah dengan cara mempraktikkan langsung ke CBT dan menjelaskan bagiannya. Setelah di evaluasi Guru Sudah Mampu Mengoperasikan CBT dan memilih materi pembelajaran sehingga guru sudah menyiapkan materi yang akan disampaikan. Manfaat Pelatihan ini antara lain: 1) CBT sebagai solusi media pembelajaran yang inovatif sehingga para guru termotivasi dan tertantang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dalam menggunakan teknologi dalam pratik CBT, 2) laboratorium CBT dapat dipergunaan secara maksimal. 3). Menambah wawasan dan kompetensi guru mengenai cara pengoperasian CBT sehingga dapat diajarkan kepada taruna.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the causes of delay in the work response of the actuator in controlling the action on the fuel injection pump rack when the ship is sailing. An actuator is a propulsion device that is driven by a pneumatic system (compressed air system) or a hydraulic system (hydraulic oil media) in the world of control applied as a safety device for machines. The accuracy of the actuator process as a tool used in security equipment on the ship's main engine plays a very important role in keeping the main propulsion engine working in safe conditions. Against the background of the weak work response of the actuator as a fuel rack propulsion on the fuel injection pump which results in damage to the main engine due to Overspeed. The problem that will be analyzed is the number of things that make the actuator work incompatible with its function. In its use, the actuator gets a signal command from the tachometer which functions to read the engine speed, which was previously sent to the Safety System Unit (SSU) to be processed and compared with the desired value/set according to the standard manual book of the machine. The method used is to use a qualitative descriptive approach. The conclusion of this paper is the need for good maintenance in the actuator system to prevent it from failing to protect engine work, such as checking the work response in pushing, pneumatic, or hydraulic drive systems, calibrating the output value of the tachometer or the system from the Safety System Unit (SSU).

Abstract

Program promosi jabatan yang dilaksanakan oleh perusahaan bagi anak buah kapal dapat dilaksanakan dengan dua metode. Metode tersebut adalah dengan on board promotion maupun promotion after bargaining agreement. Suatu perusahaan pelayaran akan memiliki tim yang kompeten di bidang kepelautan. Tim ini bertugas melaksanakan dan menjamin bahwa proses promosi anak buah kapal baik on board promotion maupun promotion after bargaining agreement telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan mendapatkan hasil yang optimal. Untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari masing-masing program promosi yang dilaksanakan oleh perusahaan bagi anak buah kapal, dilaksanakan suatu analisa khusus bagi kedua program tersebut.  Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisa program tersebut adalah library research dan SWOT Analisys. Library research dilakukan dengan mempelajari literature atau bahan bacaan seperti buku, majalah, jurnal dan lain-lain yang berhubungan dengan program promosi jabatan bagi karyawan (dalam hal ini adalah anak buah kapal) di suatu perusahaan (dalam hal ini adalah PT Gemilang Bina Lintas Tirta). Sedangkan SWOT Analisys berfungsi untuk melakukan pengkajian terhadap proses yang sudah berjalan, dengan melakukan pengkajian terhadap empat komponen penting, yang meliputi Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, dan Threats. Hasil yang didapatkan dari dilaksanakannya SWOT Analysis pada pola promosi anak buah kapal di PT Gemilang Bina Lintas Tirta adalah promotion after bargaining agreement lebih efektif daripada on board promotion.

Abstract

In addition to knowing the various types of machining components that exist, operators are required to know the maintenance and be able to measure each component so that the diesel engine's performance does not experience problems that result in decreased engine performance. Meanwhile, the supporting components of the diesel engine are like cylinder liners, because the cylinder liner components determine the volume of the cylinder and the performance of the diesel engine. The shape of the cylinder liner is like a tube where the manufacturing process uses a horizontal centrifugal casting process. Horizontal Centrifugal casting process is a casting process for making cylinder liners by pouring molten metal into a rotating mold. Implementation of Top Overhaul on diesel engines is carried out by opening the cylinder head or the top of the engine. The parts examined include the rocker arm, inlet and exhaust valves, injectors, air starting valves and push rods. Top Overhaul is carried out when the working hours of the diesel engine have worked with around 6,000 hours of work. Major Overhaul maintenance, which includes inspection, maintenance and inspection carried out on all Top Overhaul works and on the piston, connecting rod, piston ring, seated metal and road metal. Major Overhaul maintenance is carried out when the diesel engine has 12,000 working hours according to the Diesel Engine Intruction Book. In the cylinder liner often occurs damage or looseness which is commonly referred to as abrasion, erosion and corrosion. Because of that the cylinder liner requires maintenance and measurement using an inside micrometer tool. From the results of the measurements and maintenance on the cylinder liner, the calculation of the consistency, taper and wear was obtained, to find out the specifications or exceed the limits specified in the Main Engine Intruction Book on the ship.
