Abstract

The rapid development of technology implies inclusiveness in da'wah not only in real terms in the real world, but also in the virtual world. Some things that become considerations of the da'wah inclusiveness need to be applied, including the growth of radicalism through social media, then in 2015 a funny social media account @NUgaris emerged that intensely and consistently helped to color the virtual world. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The authors explore the implementation of preaching inclusiveness through social media carried out by the above account. The results of the study show that there are three forms of the application of the inclusiveness of the @NUgarislucu account, namely: inclusiveness in doing da’wah to the internal citizens of NU (Nahdhiyin); inclusiveness in da'wah to internal Muslims who differ in manhaj (across mass organizations) in Indonesia; inclusiveness in da'wah to external Muslims, namely to other religions in Indonesia. The three forms of missionary inclusiveness are carried out through dialogue and humor.

Abstract

An Wayang is an adoptive creation from the Ramayana Mahabharata epic in the past that certainly full of Hinduism value. Descriptive qualitative research use library study approach aims to find out the desacralization of symbols of polytheism through the composition of wayang lineages. Those data validity is obtained by triangulating data sources, By integrating data from journals and books on wayang lineages then analyzed by the acculturation theory of Koentjaraningrat. The results showed that Walisongo was the creator and composer of wayang in new shape. Gap between Islam and Hinduism, especially on the theological side, polytheism raises the desacralization of symbols of polytheism, through the formation of a new lineage of the wayang. The change also changes the value of the epic Ramayana Mahabharata story that is centered on Trimurti before, to the nasab of the Prophet Sis then the Prophet Adam which is a representation of the symbol of Godmonotheism that does not have children, as writen in Al Qur’an; Changes in the wayang lineage and da'wah were carried out persuasively by Walisongo without causing any conflict in the community, even bloodshed.

Abstract

Traditions in a society have important roles in determining the direction and social destination in society itself. When a tradition still relevants and still used by people, the tradition will be maintained at the same time, and also vice versa. If it can not give the benefits for people, it will be leaved. As in Situmpeng viileage, Pesalakan, Bandar, Batang City. After many years, “Omah Pitu” that bequethed by their ancestors, still exist until now. Of course includes many problems happen inside. Using kind of qualitative research with phenomenological approachment as a technic of analysis, this research try to understand about how social crosntructions of Situmpeng’s poeple to “Omah Pitu” in the context of cultural dakwah paradigm. As a result of the research can be cpncluded that nowdays “Omah Pitu” only seven houses thal still exist in Situmpeng. This suitable with the name of this village from the word “Situ” and “Lempeng” that have meaning “omahe pitu lempeng” (only seven houses). The social constructions in this society to the tradition “Omah Pitu” -like L Berger theory- devided into four steps, there are constructions, maitenance, repairs, and changes. Those steps veri dinamic and born “Omah Pitu” that still exist in Situmpeng with some adaptations that done by society with follow the times change. As non-habitable buildings, the concept of two houses that have a gutter,etc. Nevertheless if looked from that theory, the last step, change, it is not fully happened because there is no “radical” change that get rid of the old values. Besides it, “Omah Pitu” that still sustainable in Situmpeng can still exists because it got a legitimation of Islamic rules that followed by Situmpeng’ people. It means that the diversity in Situmpeng which entered in Cultural Dakwah Paradigm causes this tradition doesn’t need to be confronted srictly as when faced with Islam in Purritans ways.

Abstract

Blind experience various psychological conditions that need attention, such as feeling inferior, hopeless, and useless so that it affects the level of happiness. The main purpose of this study is to determine the process of reconstruction of happiness in blind people through Islamic guidance. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach; the process of data analysis uses the Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis technique. The subjects of the study were the blind who were members of ITMI (Indonesian Moslem Blind Association) and actively in Islamic guidance. The process of selecting subjects uses a purposive sampling method. The results showed that Islamic guidance had a positive influence in the process of reconstructing the happiness of the blind. Various processes of cognition and affection can be explored well during the process of Islamic guidance. The process of reconstructing happiness in the blind people goes through six stages, beginning with the stage of negative emotional conditions such as despair and anxiety, feeling isolated from the social environment, and then undertaking the process of finding meaning in life and reconstructing happiness. Individu dengan tunanetra seringkali mengalami berbagai kondisi psikologis yang perlu mendapat perhatian, seperti merasa rendah diri, merasa putus asa, merasa tidak berguna sehingga berpengaruh pada tingkat kebahagiaannya. Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses rekonstruksi kebahagiaan pada penyandang tunanetra melalui bimbingan islami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis, proses analisis data menggunakan teknik Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis. Subjek penelitian adalah tunanetra yang tergabung sebagai  anggota ITMI (Ikatan Tunanetra Muslim Indonesia) dan aktif mengikuti bimbingan  islami. Proses pemilihan subjek menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bimbingan islami memberikan pengaruh yang positif dalam proses rekonstruksi kebahagiaan individu dengan tunanetra. Berbagai proses kognisi dan afeksi dapat tereksplorasi dengan baik selama proses bimbingan Islami. Proses rekonstruksi kebahagiaan pada tunanetra melalui enam tahapan, berawal dari tahap kondisi emosi yang negatif seperti putus asa dan kecemasan, perasaan terisolasi dari lingkungan sosial, hingga kemudian melakukan proses penemuan makna hidup dan merekonstruksi kembali kebahagiaanya.

Abstract

Wayang as a pride of Javanese culture is well known not only for artistic dimension, but also for a spiritual dimension. It can be seen from a compositions of wayang characters, namely Bima. This research is a qualitative research that focuses on library research about Mahabharata books, Javanese culture (wayang), Walisongo, and dakwah. This research is data analysis that uses descriptive analysis, as an effort to describe and analyze the siprirtiual dimensions are manifested in aspects of dakwah and sufism in the construction of the Bima character. The results of this study indicate that the character of Bima shows the construction for dimensions of dakwah and Sufism. The dimension of dakwah lies in the process of islamization of Hindu that contained in wayang that finally changes the character and storyline of the wayang itself. While the dimension of Sufism is in the process of conveying the values of Sufism, such as in the depiction of the soul (nafs) and manunggaling Kawula Gusti in the Dewaruci play.

Abstract

Technological progress is a necessity that must be faced by all parties, including the emergence of positive and negative impacts that exist. Furthermore, this inability to cope with change and progress will bring about the consequences of negative impacts, including those related to media development. And this must be overcome, through various efforts, one of which is the media literacy movement. Using qualitative research methods that are done by working with data, organizing data, sorting it out, searching and finding patterns, finding what is important to report, this article tries to uncover how the implementation of Local Potential-based Community Empowerment in the "Pioneering Media Literacy Village" Program in Warungasem Village Warungasem District Batang Regency ". The results of this study are that media literacy-based community empowerment programs are carried out by synergizing four activity clusters, namely Journalistic and Web Clusters, Photography and Videography Clusters, E-Commerce Clusters and Design and Environment Clusters. The four clusters are synergized to realize Warungasem as Media Literacy Village. Keywords: media literacy village, community empowerment, local potential-based.

Abstract

Glorifying women and preventing them from all kinds of discrimination is an integral part of Islam. Therefore this spirit has always been instilled from generation to generation as evidence of the truth of Islam rahmatan lil alamin. The inconsistency between values and reality on the ground is caused by certain people who destroy the concept. Meanwhile in Indonesia, Walisongo as the representative of the most successful spreaders of Islam in the history of preaching the archipelago has also done the same thing. It's just that the patriarchal culture that was still attached to Javanese society in that era made Walisongo more refined in instilling this spirit with the method of preaching infiltration, in order to avoid resistance and even conflict in the community. In the end, wayang was chosen as a medium for implementing the method, through the construction of the Srikandi character. Using this type of qualitative research with a sociological historical analysis approach, this research tries to explore how the implementation of the dakwah infiltration method through the construction of Srikandi characters so that it can accommodate issues of gender equality. As for the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the infiltration da'wah method is carried out by constructing the Srikandi character so that it has a striking difference from its original form - the Hindu Mahabharata version -. In his new form, Srikandi is depicted as a real woman who becomes Arjuna's wife, symbolizing the emancipation of women without having to leave their nature as a woman.).

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative research type with a phenomenological-historical approach to explaining the Da'wah of the Adzmatkhan breed. The result is that the noble principles are still closely held by the next generation who have a lineage continuity with the Adzmatkhan breed. Many of those who are affiliated with NU – both structurally and culturally – still maintain this principle, even when they have to face the phenomenon of the primordial glorification of some members of the Prophet's dzuriyah which is quite disturbing. Several times they had to go head to head with high tension in order to straighten this out. However, this does not make the Adzmatkhan breed which is in the same line as NU ignore their teachings to love and respect the dhuriyah of the Prophet. In this context, they do not need formal legal recognition of the lineage, because the bigger thing to fight for is Islam in the style of ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah itself.

Abstract

Da'wah should have an orientation from mere rhetoric to action, and it needs to be carried out not only in the fields of theology and Islamic education (Islamic education) but must also be realized in the form of empowerment that leads to the welfare of the people. This effort is what the Muslim community of Kayupuring Petungkriyono Pekalongan Village did by establishing the Forest Village Community Institution (LMDH) and collaborating with Perhutani to explore the potential of the forest in their area. Welo Asri Tourism Object was eventually established in the Welo river basin as a tangible manifestation of realizing their empowerment and welfare without neglecting to preserve the Petungkriyono forest. Using this type of qualitative research, Field Research, this article explores how the Muslim community's management of Welo Asri tourism is carried out by the Muslim community with a conservation-based da'wah spirit. As for the results of this study, which reviewed the three criteria for indicators of the success of Social Forestry, namely Institutional set-up (social), Forest Management (ecological), and Business Development (economics), it can be concluded that the management of Welo Asri Tourism Object can be said to have found optimal results. As an official institution, this tour is managed by LMDH Kayupuring by applying restrictions on accommodation development and management based on ecological principles. In addition, in terms of financial results, Welo Asri Tourism Object can also support 30% of the total 300 heads of families (KK) in Kayupuring Village. This condition proves that the self-help empowerment program and for them is running.

Abstract

One of the many evidences about the concepts of justice and gender equality in Islam can be seen in the creation of the plot and of a central female character in the Javanese puppet, namely Drupadi. This article employs a qualitative research with this literature study approach to determine the deconstruction character of Drupadi.  The validity of the data is obtained by triangulating data sources and integrating data from journals and books about Drupadi characters in puppets, supported by analysis of gender studies and living Qur'an studies of the concept of polyandry. The results showed that there is a deconstruction of the character of Drupadi figures from the Hindu to the Islamic version. Drupadi, who is described in the Mahabharata story of having five husbands, in a Javanese puppet show, especially after the arrival of Islam, is described only married to Yudhistira. The deconstruction of Drupadi's character as a symbol of women is no longer objectified. Drupadi's new character reflects equality between men and women in Islam.Satu dari sekian bukti tentang adanya konsep keadilan dan kesetaraan gender dalam Islam bisa dilihat dalam pembangunan alur dan karakter tokoh perempuan sentral pada pewayangan Jawa, yakni Drupadi. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka ini, bertujuan untuk menentukan dekonstruksi karakter Drupadi di Wayang. Validitas data diperoleh dengan melakukan triangulasi sumber data, mengintegrasikan data dari jurnal dan buku tentang karakter Drupadi dalam wayang dengan berfokus pada analisis studi gender dan Living Qur’an mengenai poliandri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi dekonstruksi karakter tokoh Drupadi dari versi Hindu ke versi Islam; Drupadi dalam cerita Mahabharata melakukan Poliandri dengan 5 suami, dalam pewayangan Jawa setelah datangnya Islam hanya bersuamikan Yudhistira. Dekonstruksi karakter Drupadi menjadi simbol bahwa perempuan tidak lagi menjadi objektifikasi seksual. Karakter Drupadi yang baru mencerminkan kesetaraan antara pria dan perempuan dalam ajaran Islam.
