Abstract

ABSTRACTIgA-deficient in individuals have developed mucosal infections, atopy, autoimmune diseasesand rheumatic. Under the circumstance, the development of an immunomodulator that stimulatesimmune system, especially IgA, is truly desired. The research is objected on finding out the effect offermented horse milk treatment on IgA antibody in Hepatitis A immunized mice. IgA concentrationin serum and lymphocytes was evaluated using indirect ELISA method. Fermented horse milkgroup was compared with water group to calculate the percentage of IgA concentration increase.Univariate analysis was used to analyze Optical Density (OD) product from ELISA. The resultshowed that fermented horse milk increased 46.20 % IgA concentration in serum and 95.47 % inspleen lymphocytes. Univariate analysis showed that fermented horse milk increased significantlyIgA spleen lymphocytes but not IgA serum.Keywords : immunomodulator, IgA, hepatitis A vaccine, ELISA

Abstract

This article discusses about the remedial of several science misconceptions for students in Junior High School with PPE model (Peer Tutoring, Presentation, Evaluation). PPE model is the result of development model for remedial misconception from several science concepts. The purpose of this research are to describe several science misconceptions of students in Junior High School and describe the effectiveness of PPE model for overcome the students’ misconception. The research was conducted to 31 students of SMP 1 Kencong, Jember Regency, who experience misconception from several science concepts. The tecnique used to collect data are test and interview. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative.The result of the research shows that misconception for several concepts that happened to students are work concept (if a body have a force, it is also has work otomatically), kinetic energy concept ( if the speed of body increased three times, so the Ek becomes three times too, it is wrong ), on the concept of potential energy ( in freely falling bodies Ek = 0 and Ep windened, when the object approaches the ground. The effectiveness of the model to overcome the students’ misconception showed by students’ positive response to the implementation of remedial learning with the model and decrease the number of students who have misconception by 17% in IXA class and 13,8% in IXB class, for average of each concept. Abstract

Introduction: Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) is often used as a medicinal plant because of its antioxidant properties. UV overexposure leads to many harmful impacts, one of them being the increasement rate of skin cancer risk. UV rays increase DNMT3B expression and ROS level. However, anti-skin cancer drugs that target DNMT3B have not been explored yet, and this study aims to explore cinnamon essential oil's potency in targeting DNMT3B to stop UV-induced skin cancer development. Methods: The research was carried out through an in silico and proteomic approach. Research materials were obtained from various databases including CMAUP, ChEMBL, PubChem, Google Scholar, PubMed, and RCSB. The materials that have been obtained are processed using KNIME and MOE V.2010 software Result: As a result, KNIME analysis showed many similarities between four of cinnamon's active compounds and DNMT3B inhibitors (azacytidine and decitabine). Three of the essential oil compounds; Cinnamaldehyde, cis-2-methoxy cinnamic acid, and coumarin are predicted to inhibit DNMT3B. Moreover, using the molecular docking approach, cis-2-methoxy cinnamic acid has more stable bonds compared to its native ligand (glycerol). Conclusion: In conclusion, the active compounds in cinnamon essential oil were potential to inhibit DNMT3B and prevent skin cancer development with cis-2-methoxy cinnamic acid as the most potent inhibitory compound. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT.Rahmarika Multikarya Cabang Pondok Aren, Kota Tangerang selatan (Rahmatika Freshmart Grosir). Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh dan diperoleh sampel sebanyak 61 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi, koefisien korelasi, koefisien determinasi dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini adalah komunikasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebanyak 51,8% dan uji hipotesis diperoleh t hitung > t tabel atau (4,587 > 2,001). Disiplin kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 61,7% dan uji hipotesis diperoleh t hitung > t tabel atau (8,639>2,001). Komunikasi dan disiplin kerja secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan persamaan regresi Y =  33,374 + 0,080X1 + 0,196X2.  Nilai  koefisien determinasi sebesar 82,7% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 17,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai  F hitung > F tabel  atau (84,318 > 3,156).
