Abstract

One of the positive values of development is the flexibility to access information. Information is needed by everyone with various purposes, including updating knowledge, material for opinions and making decisions. In the field of health, information that is developing is very diverse. Starting from preventive, curative and rehabilitative measures. Disseminating health information is something that must be done carefully. Delivering information in the health sector is not easy to do. Currently, wireless communication networks have spread to almost all area. So that it can be used for the process of disseminating health information to people anywhere and anytime more actively, independently and responsibly. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the media in an effort to increase knowledge and actions taken by the community in efforts to prevent COVID19 in society. The research used descriptive research method where primary data were collected online using google form. The results of this study the public prefers to access news from electronic sources than non-electronic ones or from health promotion officers. However, through online news there has been a lot of less accurate and counter-productive news, This raises separate concerns about the truth and the party responsible for the news or information. It is better if as consumers of information we are wiser in responding by filtering the information received before passing the information on to other community groups. We should also look for other sources of information that are more validated so that they are not wrong in making decisions. Conclusion media research can increase public knowledge if used appropriately and responsibly. Information that comes from the media is also used as the basis for taking action by the community. The combination of extension methods that are mass gathering or using leaflets and brochures can be combined in the form of digital outreach, for example with short videos or sharing information through other social media which is more efficient, creative and in line with the target recipients of information.

Abstract

According to the 2019 Environmental Quality Index report, air quality in the city of Yogyakarta has decreased in the past five years. In connection with concerns about the decline in air quality in the city of Yogyakarta and its negative impact on living things, it is necessary to take steps to monitor air quality. The purpose of this study is to find out the description of air quality in Yogyakarta City in 2019 – 2020 which is reviewed through the Air Quality Monitoring System in the form of the Air Pollutant Standard Index. The type of research used is descriptive. Then the results were analyzed using descriptive analysis in the form of a comparison chart. The graph is in the form of ISPU data obtained through AQMS, an air pollutant level monitoring station. The variable in this study is ISPU data. The data collection technique was obtained by taking data from the Yogyakarta City Environmental Service website (http://iku.menlhk.go.id/aqms/) and climatological element data taken from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency website (www.bmkg.go. en). The results of monitoring air quality parameters have decreased and increased levels. However, based on the monitoring of the Air Quality Monitoring System in 2019-2020, the chemical parameters of air quality (PM10, SO2, CO, O3, NO2) in Yogyakarta City are still classified as "Good".   The conclusion of this research means that chemical parameters do not pass the quality standard and do not have a negative effect on humans. animals, and plants, so that people are safe for doing activities outside the home. Recomendation from this research is necessary to continuously monitor and control/prevent pollution through tightening environmental laws and regulations to prevent the worsening of air quality in Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The air quality in the environment is decreasing. Human activity is the main factor causing the decline in air quality in the environment. Changes in the air environment are caused by air pollution, namely the entry of pollutants (in the form of gases and small particles / aerosols) into the air. Pollutants that enter the air can be natural (smoke from forest fires, caused by volcanoes, meteorite dust, and salt emission from the sea) and human activities (transportation, industrial waste disposal). The concentration of air pollution in several big cities and industrial areas of Indonesia causes respiratory problems, irritation of the eyes and ears, the emergence of certain diseases and impaired visibility. Particles with a size between 0.01 – 5 m are the main source of air pollutants because their condition is not visible and continues to exist in the atmosphere for quite a long time. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of chimney modifications on dust levels and smoke density as air pollution materials. Techniques for controlling particle emission are all based on capturing particles before they are released into the atmosphere. The method used to achieve this goal is influenced by the particle size. Some of the tools used for this purpose include gravity settling chamber systems, cyclone collectors, wet brush scrubbers and electrostatic precipitators. Environmental control is very necessary for the creation of a clean and healthy environment, it can be done by improving the quality of the tool and making modifications to node I, namely the pollutant source. an average of 0.2726 mg/L (54.2978%), and the parameter range of smoke density remains at levels 0 – 20%. The conclusion of the study is that there is a difference in the average dust content using a modified Wet Scrubber chimney but the smoke density parameter remains.
