Abstract

The maturity of the career choice direction becomes a central idea in the career development of the students. There are still many students who are less thorough in understanding career information. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look at the effectiveness of group counseling services with modelling in improving student career choices. The research used quasi experimental approach through the design of non equivalent control group. Research subjects seven students experimental group and seven students control group. This research used career maturity choice with reliability 0.86. Then the data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Independent Samples and Normalized Gain Scores. The result shows that group counseling service with modelling effective for increase the career maturity choices

Abstract

This study discusses the furniture industry: the economic development of furniture craftsmen in Nagari Muara Panas, Solok Regency (1988-2021) is motivated by the human need for furniture from year to year continues to increase along with the rate of population growth and households that need a house as a place to live. . The purpose of this study is to describe the background of the emergence of the furniture industry and to determine the influence of the furniture industry on the economy of furniture craftsmen in Kanagarian Muara Panas in 1988-2021. using the historical method. Qualitative research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data, through four steps as follows: (1) heuristics of collecting primary data through interviews aimed at owners and workers of the furniture industry, archives and observations conducted 4 times, while secondary sources are obtained from sources written in the form of a thesis, several journals and articles that the author found on the internet (literature), (2) source criticism (3 interpretations, (4) historiography, the discussion carried out can be seen that the economy of the economic community works as farmers and several small industries are included in it. the furniture industry. The furniture industry in Nagari Muara Panas is a wood processing industry that was pioneered and developed by the residents of Nagari Muara Panas themselves. In this area there are 7 furniture industries. Each furniture industry in Nagari Muara Panas has its own development, both from equipment, manufactured products and the number of employees. The existence of the furniture industry has an economic impact on both furniture owners and workers. Keywords: Development. Economy, Furniture Industry

Abstract

This research is motivated by the development of LKPD (Student Worksheet) for enhancing critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The LKPD used has not yet captured the students' attention. The LKPD has not been able to improve students' learning motivation because it does not align with their learning styles. LKPD serves as teaching material used by teachers to facilitate the delivery of content and achieve learning objectives. This study aims to develop LKPD and assess its validity using the Inquiry model to improve critical thinking skills in Science education about the conservation of natural resources in the 4th-grade class. The type of research used is research and development (R&D), employing the 4-D model. This model consists of four development stages: define, design, development, and dissemination. Based on the results of the validation of LKPD using the Inquiry model to enhance critical thinking skills, the LKPD is deemed feasible for use. The material aspect validation result was 85.41% (valid), the design aspect validation result was 86.53% (valid), and the language aspect validation result was 94.44% (very valid). Therefore, the LKPD using the Inquiry model to improve critical thinking skills is valid.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Dick and Carey instructional model and students’ creativity on mathematics learning outcomes among elementary school students. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial structure, the research involved 51 fifth-grade students from two comparable schools in the Banuhampu District, West Sumatra. The experimental group received instruction using the Dick and Carey model, while the control group followed conventional teaching methods. Creativity was measured using a validated questionnaire, and learning outcomes were assessed through a posttest aligned with curriculum indicators. The results show that students taught using the Dick and Carey model achieved significantly higher learning outcomes than those taught conventionally. Furthermore, students with higher levels of creativity consistently outperformed their lower-creative peers in both instructional groups. However, statistical analysis indicated no significant interaction between instructional model and creativity level, suggesting the model’s universal applicability across diverse learner profiles. The study concludes that the Dick and Carey model is effective in enhancing mathematical understanding regardless of creativity level, offering a structured yet inclusive approach to classroom instruction. These findings provide valuable insights for teachers and curriculum developers aiming to optimize learning through systematic design and the integration of learner creativity.
