Abstract

Academic dishonesty and students' inability to contextualize learning, particularly in physics, contribute to poor understanding. This study investigates the impact of the Archerys ID Model on students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics. The model is expected to enhance moral and ethical values while improving learning performance compared to conventional methods. A quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group was used, involving two classes: an experimental class using the Archerys ID Model and a control class using traditional methods. Pretests and posttests measured changes in moral character, ethics, and learning performance, and data were analyzed using an Independent T-Test. The independent T-Test analysis shows that the Archerys ID Model significantly enhances students' moral character, ethics, and learning performance in physics for grade XI at SMAN 12 Padang, with significance values of 0.032, 0.023, and 0.031, respectively. These findings indicate that the Archerys ID Model is more effective than the TPACK instructional design model in fostering character and academic outcomes.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in Class X SMAN 1 Pelangiran remains suboptimal due to the dominance of lecture-based methods and conventional teaching materials, resulting in passive student engagement and low learning outcomes (only 41.38% completeness). This study aimed to develop a TPACK-based Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) for geometry materials to enhance learning effectiveness. TPACK integrates technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge, while E-LKPD promotes interactive, technology-assisted learning. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the E-LKPD was designed with multimedia elements such as videos, quizzes, and digital navigation. Expert validation results indicated high feasibility: material (95.4%), media (80%), and language (90.55%). Practicality tests showed the E-LKPD was very practical for teachers (90.95%) and students (85.25%). Effectiveness was demonstrated through an increase in students’ average scores from 17.31 in pre-test to 61.21 in post-test, with and N-Gain of 57%. The findings conclude that the TPACK-based E-LKPD is valid, practical, and effective in supporting more interactive and adaptive mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Dick and Carey instructional model and students’ creativity on mathematics learning outcomes among elementary school students. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a 2×2 factorial structure, the research involved 51 fifth-grade students from two comparable schools in the Banuhampu District, West Sumatra. The experimental group received instruction using the Dick and Carey model, while the control group followed conventional teaching methods. Creativity was measured using a validated questionnaire, and learning outcomes were assessed through a posttest aligned with curriculum indicators. The results show that students taught using the Dick and Carey model achieved significantly higher learning outcomes than those taught conventionally. Furthermore, students with higher levels of creativity consistently outperformed their lower-creative peers in both instructional groups. However, statistical analysis indicated no significant interaction between instructional model and creativity level, suggesting the model’s universal applicability across diverse learner profiles. The study concludes that the Dick and Carey model is effective in enhancing mathematical understanding regardless of creativity level, offering a structured yet inclusive approach to classroom instruction. These findings provide valuable insights for teachers and curriculum developers aiming to optimize learning through systematic design and the integration of learner creativity.

Abstract

This study addresses the problem of low science learning outcomes among elementary students by examining whether the Banathy Instructional Design Model can improve performance across different motivation levels. The objective was to compare the effects of the Banathy model and conventional instruction on fourth-grade students’ science learning outcomes while also analyzing the interaction between instructional model and student motivation. A quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group was employed, involving one experimental group taught using the Banathy model and one control group receiving conventional instruction. Data on learning outcomes were collected through a standardized posttest and analyzed using comparative statistical techniques. The results show that students in the experimental group achieved significantly higher science learning outcomes than those taught conventionally. Further analysis indicates that the Banathy model benefits both high- and low-motivation students, although highly motivated students demonstrate the greatest improvement. Notably, even students with lower motivation exhibited better performance when taught using the Banathy model. These findings suggest that the Banathy Instructional Design Model is effective for heterogeneous classrooms and can enhance science learning outcomes regardless of students’ initial motivation levels.
