Abstract

Module based on guided discovery learning can be used as an alternative to improve student’s activeness and understanding the concept. This research aims to develop redox reaction and electrochemical cell module based on guided discovery learning and reveals its validity and practicability. The type of this research is a development research using 4-D development model. The research instrument used was a questionnaire in the form of validity and practicality sheet. This module was validated by 3 UNP chemistry lecturers and 2 chemistry teachers of SMAN 10 Padang. Practicality test were conducted on 2 chemistry teachers and 32 twelfth grade students of SMAN 10 Padang. Data were analyzed by Cohen’s Kappa formula. The results of the validity test showed that the module has a very high validity category (k=0.83). Practicality test results by teachers and students showed that the module has high practicality category (k=0.79 and 0.80). Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the module developed was valid, practical.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials based material reaction rate guided inquiry (learning cycle: the phase of exploration, discovery / establishment of the concept and application) in the form of a valid experiment worksheets and practical use in learning chemistry in SMA / MA. This type of research included in Research and Development (R & D). The development model used in this study is the four-D (4-D). The research instrument is the validation sheet and questionnaire. Data from the study consists of three aspects, namely, the validity, the practicalities and effectiveness of teaching materials. Data validity and practicalities processed using Cohens Kappa formula, and the effectiveness of data using a percentage In this study is limited to the validity and practicalities. Validation of teaching materials from the aspect of content, language and graffiti and feasibility of construction. Data from the validator obtained an average score moment kappa was 0.87, and the results of practical analysis conducted with a limited test in MAN 3 Padang obtained an average score of 0.84 practicality value of 0.78 of teachers and students. From the analysis worksheets that showed 86 % of students working on critical questions and exercises contained in LKS experiments that have been made can be answered students. These results indicate that LKS guided inquiry-based experiments developed extremely valid and practical use in learning chemistry

Abstract

Quasi experiment research with randomized control posttest group only design was carried out to determine the effectiveness of using a discovery learning based module on students learning outcome. Grade XI MIA-1 to MIA-4 students academic year 2015/2016 in SMAN 7 Padang became population of this study. Through cluster sampling technique, grade XI MIA-1 and grade XI MIA-4 were chosen as experiment and control classes respectively. The experiment class was taught using discovery learning based module in buffer solution topic while the control class was taught the same topic conventionally without the module. Research instrument used was cognitive learning outcome test with multiple choice form. Data showed that the mean test score of experiement class (78.84) was higher than that of control class (71.09). Normality and homogenity test proved that both classes were homogeneous and normally distributed. T-test, as data analysis taken, showed that t-count (3,51) is bigger than t-table (1.67). Thus, it could be concluded that students’ cognitive learning outcome in experiment class is significantly higher than that in control class. The use of discovery learning-based module in buffer solution topic was effective in increasing learning outcome of grade XI MIA students in SMAN 7 Padang.

Abstract

This developmental research aimed to produce scientific approach-based module in chemistry equilibrium topic, determine its validity, practicality, and effectiveness on grade XI students? learning outcome. It was based on 4-D development model that included defining, designing, and developing stage. Module was validated by expert and tested to senior high school (SMA) students. Research instruments used were questionnaire in the form of validity and practicality sheets and learning outcome test. Validity sheets were completed by 5 chemistry lecturers and 3 chemistry teachers. Practicality sheets were completed by 4 chemistry teachers and 25 grade XI students in public SMA (SMAN) 2 Batusangkar. Data were analyzed with Kappa Moment. The mean score of Kappa Moment for validity was 0.84 indicating a high degree of validity. The mean score of Kappa Moment for practicality were 0.87 (for students) and 0.84 (for teachers) indicating a very high degree of practicality. Effectiveness of the module was obtained from cognitive test score of students in SMAN 4 Padang. Analysis showed that the test score of students taught with module was siginificantly higher than that of students who were not. It can be concluded that the module developed was valid, practical, and effective for senior high school instruction.Key words: chemistry equilibrium, module, scientific approach.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan menentukan tingkat validitas dan praktikalitas dari e-modul yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian adalah Research and Development (R D) dengan model pengembangan Plomp. Uji validitas dilakukan terhadap empat orang dosen jurusan kimia FMIPA UNP dan tiga orang guru kimia SMA. Uji praktikalitas dilakukan oleh tiga orang guru kimia dan 32 siswa kelas XI SMAN 7 Padang tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validitas dan  praktikalitas. Hasil  validitas yang didapatkan dianalisis dengan Content Validity Ratio (CVR) dan praktikalitas dianalisis dengan formula Aikens’V.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata CVR validitas konten e-modul sebesar 0,95 (valid), validitas konstruk 0,82 (valid), praktikalitas e-modul pada guru 0,89 (praktis) dan pada siswa 0,82 (praktis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa e-modul larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit berbasis guided disscovery learning untuk kelas X SMA/ MA yang dikembangkan sudah valid dan praktis.

Abstract

E-modul kimia unsur berbasis guided discovery learning telah dikembangkan dan dianalisis tingkat validitasnya untuk membantu proses pembelajaran peserta didik. Penelitian ini tergolong kepada Research and Development dengan model Plomp. The e-module divalidasi oleh tujuh orang validator ahli materi dan tiga orang ahli media. Instumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket validitas. Data dianalisa dengan menggunakan Content Validity Ratio (CVR) dan formula kappa Cohen’s. Hasil uji validitas konten diperoleh nilai rata-rata CVR sebesar 0,986. Hasil uji validitas konstruk dan validitas ahli media diperoleh nilai rata-rata momen kappa sebesar 0,90 dan 0,89. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa e-modul memiliki tingkat kevalidan yang sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan valid serta dapat dilakukan uji praktikalitas dan efektifitasnya.Kata Kunci: e-modul, guided discovery learning, kimia unsur

Abstract

Pelaksanaan kurikulum 2013 belum maksimal dalam proses pembelajaran karena berpusat pada guru. Materi Elekrolisis sulit untuk dipahami. Dengan adanya pengaruh pandemi justru berdampak negatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Solusinya guru harus melaksanakan LSLC untuk membentuk komunitas dan berkolaborasi dalam memperbaiki proses pembelajaraan saat ini. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model GDL berbasis LSLC terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi elektrolisis di SMA Negeri 15 Padang. Penelitian ini tergolong kepada eksperimen semu. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Hasil analisis data didapatkan bahwa sampel terdistribusi normal dan homogen, maka uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji-t pada . Diperoleh thitung 5,08 dk 68 dan nilai ttabel 1,67. Nilai thitung > ttabel artinya hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran GDL berbasis LSLC lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada hasil belajar siswa tanpa menggunakan model pembelajaran GDL berbasis LSLC pada materi elektrolisis di SMA Negeri 15 Padang.

Abstract

Materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit merupakan salah satu materi kimia yang bersifat abstrak dan sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis efektivitas e-modul larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit berbasis guided discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Populasi terdiri dari siswa kelas X MIPA dengan X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling sehingga kelas sampel ditentukan oleh guru. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda terdiri dari 20 butir soal dan 5 pilihan jawaban yang valid, reliabel dan  daya pembeda soal serta indeks kesukaran dengan kriteria baik. Tingkat efektivitas e-modul dianalisis dari hasil uji n-gain. Hasil n-gain yang diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen 0,6 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol 0,5 namun keduanya dalam kategori sedang. Sehingga e-modul larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit berbasis guided discovery learning efektif terhadap hasil belajar dengan kriteria tinggi dan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mendapatkan pengalaman langsung bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis validitas dan praktikalitas e-modul hidrolisis garam berbasis pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing untuk kelas XI SMA/MA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah education design research dengan model Plomp yang terdiri dari tahap pleryminary research, prototyping stage dan assassment phase . Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 8 orang validator, 6 peserta didik pada small group dan 18 peserta didik pada field test. Intsrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket validitas, angket uji praktkalitas dan lembar jawaban siswa pada e-modul. Analisis data dengan menggunakan rumus Aiken's V dan statistik deskriptif. Hasil uji validitas konten diperoleh nilai rata-rata Aiken's V sebesar 0,93. Hasil uji validitas konstruk dan validitas ahli media diperoleh nilai rata-rata Aiken's V sebesar 0,86 dan 0,98. Hasil evaluasi satu-satu menunjukkan e-modul yang menarik, huruf yang jelas dan bahasa yang mudah dipahami. Hasil analisis data pada uji small group di peroleh nilai rata-rata persentasi sebesar 89,94% dan 91,52% pada tahap field test . Data ini dibuktikan dengan kemampuan siswa menjawab soal e-modul pada tahap small group dan field test sebesar 83 dan 85 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa e-modul  hidrolisis garam berbabis guided discobery learning untuk kelas XI SMA/MA telah valid dan praktis sehingga dapat diuji efektifitasnya.

Abstract

Computer-based learning media can be one alternative in the learning of chemistry, especially hybridization concepts. This media will visualize abstract concepts into animations, drawings and help students understand concepts with interactive questions. The purpose of this research is to produce learning media on hybridization materials using macromedia flash program that can help the process of chemical learning. The type of research conducted is Research and Develompment (R & D). The instrument used is a questionnaire with Likert scale. The result of this research is hybridization learning media with macromedia flash program suitable to be used for science students at school.
