Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research which aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII B of PGRI 1 Tamalate Makassar. The subjects of this study consisted of 35 students. Data collection techniques used are observation sheets and tests at the end of each cycle in accordance with the material being taught. From the results of the analysis in the first cycle obtained mathematical learning outcomes of students with an average score of 55.43 and a standard deviation of 18.95 of the ideal score achieved is 100. In the second cycle, improvements and additional actions from the previous cycle were held so that an increase student mathematics learning outcomes with an average score of 73.71 with a standard deviation of 14.71 of the ideal score achieved is 100. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students of class VIII B SMP PGRI 1 Tamalate Makassar experienced an increase after it was implemented teaching and learning process by applying cooperative learning type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD).

Abstract

This study aims to see the mathematics communication of students in terms of learning styles in solving high school mathematics problems. The focus of this research is: students' mathematics communication in terms of visual learning styles, mathematics communication in terms of auditory learning styles, mathematics communication in terms of kinesthetic learning styles. The subjects of this study were students at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa who were grouped based on their learning styles. The research instrument is the researcher himself, because the researcher himself plans what to ask the research subjects. Data collection techniques are carried out by providing learning style questionnaires, carrying out written tests to see mathematical communication skills, and interview guidelines. This study used technical triangulation with data analysis techniques, namely data presentation, data reduction, and conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the level of mathematics communication can be seen from the learning styles of students. Students with visual and auditory learning styles are able to solve mathematical problems completely and in detail, are able to use mathematical ideas, are able to use mathematical notations and symbols to determine answer conclusions. Students who have a kinesthetic learning style are also able to solve mathematical problems in their own style and way, namely a shorter way, being able to use mathematical ideas, symbols and mathematical notations in solving problems, but they do not provide conclusions from the answers that are done

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika melalui pendekatan Problem Solving pada siswa kelas X IPA 4 SMA negeri 1 Gowa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Gowa pada semester ganjil pada tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dan observasi. Data hasil kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal yang terkumpul dibedakan menjadi data kualitatif dan data kuantitatif kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata siswa pada siklus I sebesar 53,72 ini berarti bahwa skor rata-rata siswa berada pada kategori sangat rendah dengan standar deviasi 14,47. Sedang pada Siklus II diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 73,71 ini berarti bahwa skor rata-rata siswa pada kategori sedang dengan standar deviasi 13,15. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan diterapkannya pendekatan Problem Solving pada siswa kelas X IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Gowa dalam proses pembelajaran, maka kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika siswa, kehadiran, kesiapan dan keaktifan siswa dapat meningkat.

Abstract

The fundamental problem in this study is that there are still teachers who work less than optimally. This can be seen from the existence of teachers who still apply conventional learning, where teachers still apply the lecture method, this is not in line with the demands of the 2013 curriculum where students are required to be more active and creative in learning compared to the teacher. This problem needs to be overcome by knowing students' perceptions of teacher competence. Through student perceptions, a teacher can determine the level of competence he has. By knowing the level of competence that a teacher has, he can increase the competence of students. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, namely describing students' perceptions of the competence of mathematics teachers at the high school level. The focus of this research is students' perceptions of personality competence, pedagogic competence, professional competence, and social competence of mathematics teachers in high school. The subjects of this study were students at SMA Negeri 1 Gowa who were outstanding. The research instrument was the researcher himself because the researcher himself planned what was asked of the research subject in the interview. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, mastery tests, and interviews conducted with research subjects. This study uses triangulation techniques with data analysis techniques carried out using comparative analysis.

Abstract

Problematika Pembelajaran Sastra Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) problematika siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia; (2) problematika guru dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Baranti Kabupaten Sidrap yang berjumlah 105 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (random sampling) sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 35 orang, yakni 45% dari jumlah populasi. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket, wawancara, dan observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan empat problematika yang dialami oleh siswa dan tiga problematika yang dialami oleh guru. Keempat problemtika yang dialami siswa dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia adalah: (1) kurangnya bimbingan guru mata pelajaran; (2) lambat mengerti materi pelajaran; (3) kurangnya motivasi dari pihak sekolah; dan (4) kurangnya fasilitas penunjang. Problematika guru dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia adalah: (1) alokasi waktu yang tidak memadai; (2) kurikulum yang belum tersusun dengan baik; dn (3) kurangnya fasilitas penunjang. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemecahan problematika yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia dapat melahirkan siswa yang kreatif dan berkualitas.

Abstract

Profil Kesalahan Konseptual dan Prosedural dalam Memecahkan Masalah Limit Fungsi pada Siswa Kelas XII SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mendeskripsikan kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah limit fungsi, kesalahan yang akan diteliti di sini terdiri atas tiga yaitu, kesalahan konseptual, kesalahan prosedural, dan kesalahan teknik. Ketiga jenis kesalahan ini sering didapatkan pada siswa sehingga  (1) kesalahan konseptual dan prosedural dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan materi limit fungsi siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Gowa; (2) penyebab terjadinya kesalahan konseptual dan prosedural dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan materi limit fungsi siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Gowa; dan (3) Mendeskripsikan  rekomendasi  standar pengajaran matematika menurut NCTM untuk membantu mengatasi kesalahan konseptual dan prosedural siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan materi limit fungsi siswa kelas XII SMA Negeri 1 Gowa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif serta mengadopsi pendekatan deskriptif-eksploratif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui pelaksanaan tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Adapun subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga peserta yang dipilih berdasarkan kategori kemampuan, yakni masing-masing satu peserta dengan kemampuan tinggi, satu peserta dengan kemampuan sedang, serta satu peserta dengan kemampuan rendah.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyse the implementation of Teaching Factory, based on CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process and Product) in Vocational High Schools in Makassar City. Methods This study carried out an evaluative research in the form of CIPP model (Contexts, inputs, processes and products). The research data were collected through observation, interview, documentation and questionnaire at SMKN 5 Makassar, SMKN 8 Makassar and SMK SMTI Makassar. The results discovered that the aspect context, enter, course of and product fell into the very good category. E. The context component suggested that the TEFA program is consistent with industrial needs and vocational education revitalization policies. The input component showed sufficient readiness of facilities, infrastructure, human resources and industrial support. The second, process component suggested that industry-standard practices of production- and service-based learning were effectively implemented. Results regarding the product component show that students developed higher competencies, work skills, and entrepreneurial attitudes. The study also identifies several of the main challenges, including limited available funding and unsuitable availability of production facilities at some schools. This paper provides recommendations for improving the quality of TEFA implementation through: (1) enhance facilities support, (2) develop technical implementation guidelines for TEFA, and (3) strengthen industrial partnerships in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach that aims to analyze the psychometric characteristics of formative assessment instruments using the Rasch Model. The research sample consisted of 20 students. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test consisting of 20 questions on the Pythagorean Theorem. Data were analyzed using Winsteps to identify instrument reliability, item difficulty level, item fit, person measure, and student response patterns. The results showed that the instrument had a fairly good reliability with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.70, person reliability of 0.67, and item reliability of 0.77. Analysis of item difficulty levels showed that there were 2 items in the very easy category, 7 items in the easy category, 8 items in the difficult category, and 3 items in the very difficult category. The results of the item fit analysis showed that most of the items were in accordance with the Rasch Model, although there is one item that needs to be revised because it does not meet the model suitability criteria. Analysis of student abilities showed that most students were in the medium to high ability category. In addition, the results of the Wright Map and Scalogram showed that the instrument had a fairly good ability to differentiate student abilities. Thus, the developed formative assessment instrument can be used to measure students' abilities in the Pythagorean Theorem material.
