Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of self-concept in children on assertive behavior. Sampling was done by purposive technique in LPKA Kelas 1 Kutoarjo for 43 children. The instruments of this study are self-concept scale that based on the Tennese Self-Concept Scale developed by Fitts (1965) and the assertive behavior scale using the Rathus Assertiveness developed by Rathus (1973). Through simple linear regression analysis, it is known that self-concept play role in children's assertive behavior by 70,9% (p < .05). The results of the study also showed that the internal dimension had greater influence (71,2%) than the external dimension (67,1%) of the self-concept on assertive behavior. This study is expected to be one of the considerated by LPKA to assist children in developing positive self-concepts to increase assertive behavior.

Abstract

Anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum akan mengalami berbagai permasalahan ketika berada di LPKA, sehingga kemampuan yang harus dimiliki dalam situasi seperti ini ialah resiliensi. Maka dari itu diperlukan bimbingan konseling terhadap anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum agar bisa membantu mengurangi stres pada anak tersebut. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh bimbingan konseling terhadap tingkat resiliensi anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum di LPKA Kelas I Palembang. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode regresi linier sederhana dan sampel penelitian yaitu 45 anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum di LPKA Kelas I Palembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Non Probability Sampling secara Sampling Jenuh Karena populasi relatif kecil yaitu sebanyak 45 populasi jadi seluruh Populasi dijadikan sampel dengan alat pengumpulan data kuesioner. Hasil korelasi pearson didapatkan nilai signifikansi (?) lebih besar dari 0,05 yang menandakan adanya hubungan positif signifikan antara Bimbingan Konseling dan Resiliensi, karena semakin semakin tinggi bimbingan konseling, maka semakin tinggi resiliensi anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum di LPKA Kelas I Palembang. Hasil uji ANOVAb menyatakan nilai signifikansi p sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) sehingga kedua variabel dalam penelitian berhubungan signifikan. Nilai R sebesar 0,843 dan R Square sebesar 0,710 menunjukkan variabel bimbingan konseling memberikan kontribusi dalam memengaruhi variabel resiliensi. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu semakin tinggi bimbingan konseling yang dimiliki anak yang berkonflik dengan hukum, maka semakin tinggi pula resiliensi anak yng berkonflik dengan hukum tersebut.

Abstract

Terrorism remains a frightening specter in society, with around 80% of former terrorism convicts still experiencing cognitive errors. This serves as the basis that former terrorism convicts must have a positive self-realization and be able to develop their potential to live during the social reintegration period. The purpose of this research is to understand the process of self-actualization empowerment for terrorism clients using the family system therapy approach at the Correctional Center Class I Tangerang and the obstacles that hinder this process. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a case study design, involving direct interviews with several informants and observations. The research results show that the process of empowering the self-realization of terrorism clients occurs through three stages: family cohesion, flexibility, and communication. Self-realization is achieved through meaning-making, self-determination, influence, and competence. At the peak of self-realization, clients achieve social growth, self-fulfillment through training, achievement of potential through work, and encouragement from the spiritual and moral values they adhere to. The obstacles hindering the empowerment process are the limitations of nonverbal communication, distrust of newcomers, and lack of participation from family members. The findings of this research are important as a source of enhancing the credibility of the Directorate General of Corrections in the eyes of the public.
