Abstract

Teknologi Virtual Reality (VR) dapat diimplementasikan di berbagai bidang, salah satunya dalam bidang pendidikan. Potensi penggunaan VR dalam pembelajaran bahasa sangat dianjurkan karena berdampak pada peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa khususnya di perguruan tinggi. Namun penggunaan VR dalam pembelajaran bahasa masih sangat terbatas karena guru masih belum memiliki kemampuan yang memadai dalam menggunakan dan mengembangkan aplikasi VR. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang penggunaan VR untuk pembelajaran bahasa Inggris bagi mahasiswa. Para peneliti telah mengimplementasikan penggunaan kelas VR menggunakan platform WebVR sosial Mozilla Hubs yang disampaikan oleh para dosen dari jarak jauh. Peneliti menggunakan kuesioner untuk mensurvei siswa tentang pengalaman mereka ketika berinteraksi di kelas bahasa menggunakan WebVR. Para dosen juga berinteraksi langsung menggunakan headset VR dan tracked controller untuk mengunggah materi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa memberikan reaksi positif dan memiliki pengalaman yang baik dalam belajar bahasa Inggris menggunakan teknologi WebVR. Hasil penelitian ini juga mencatat munculnya penyakit simulator, gangguan audio dan video. Penelitian lebih lanjut sangat disarankan untuk membandingkan mode tampilan dan aktivitas kelas pada perangkat dan platform yang berbeda.

Abstract

Proses belajar mengajar di sekolah tingkat SMA di Kabupaten Bantul pada masa darurat Covid-19 dilakukan secara daring. Semua proses pembelajaran beralih dari pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM) di kelas ke pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ) yang banyak dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknologi ponsel cerdas atau smartphone. Guru-guru pendidikan agama Islam yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (MGMP-PAI) Tingkat SMA se-kabupaten Bantul memiliki kesulitan dalam mengubah materi pembelajaran dari materi PTM menjadi materi PJJ. Selain permasalahan kesediaan perangkat komputer yang masih terbatas, pihak mitra juga mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan video pembelajaran karena belum memiliki keahlian dan pengetahuan yang cukup memadai. Melalui pengabdian ini akan diberikan pelatihan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Kinemaster untuk editing video dan membuat materi pembelajaran yang menarik di ponsel cerdas. Pengabdian ini diawali dengan melakukan analisa situasi dan kebutuhan Mitra, mengidentifikasi permasalahan, menentukan tujuan dan rencana kegiatan, melaksanakan pelatihan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Pengabdian diikuti oleh 35 peserta, dilaksanakan secara online melalui pertemuan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Zoom. Antusias dari para peserta pengabdian ini sangat baik, terbukti dari hasil kuesioner dari peserta pelatihan yang menyatakan bahwa isi materi pelatihan sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka dan cara penyampaian materi dalam pelatihan juga baik dan jelas.

Abstract

TOEFL is one of the most frequently used international standardized tests for registering for masters and doctoral degrees, seeking study scholarships or for promotions. Unfortunately, there are still many students and employees who still experience difficulties in taking the TOEFL test. This is what then becomes the reason for them to take English courses, especially to prepare themselves for preparing the TOEFL test. Yogyakarta, which has the title of "Student City", has many campuses and many English courses that offer the TOEFL Preparation Course. There are many types of TOEFL formats and many TOEFL Preparation Programs are offered by English courses in Yoggyakarta. The TOEFL Preparation courses has various programs including different price, teacher competencies, and facilities. In this study, the ORESTE method was used to help the people determining the best course according to its ranking. This method is one of the Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) methods used to find alternatives using predetermined criteria and preference weights. The criteria used are price, instructor, materials, facilities and location. The results showed that the best TOEFL course ranking/order alternative was A16 with a preference score of 3.9425 and the course with the lowest score was A4 with a score of 9.878177.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic, which became a worldwide epidemic in early 2020, has devastated the world economy, including Indonesia. The Covid-19 pandemic affected all parts of human lives. In the business sector, not only Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) but also large companies in many countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This study analyzed and tested the significant differences in productivity, turnover, and utilization of digital marketing in halal-certified culinary MSMEs. The government has given great attention, followed by supporting policies encouraging MSMEs to adapt to the digital era immediately. The government launched much digital marketing training and the Sehati program (Sertifikasi Halal Gratis or Free Halal Certification) in welcoming Indonesia as Halal tourism in 2023. This study used primary data from a questionnaire given to MSMEs in the culinary field that has been certified halal. The test used the Kolmogorov Smirnov one sample normality test, and the different tests used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that productivity, business turnover, and the use of digital marketing for MSMEs in the culinary field were significantly different before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. This result showed that the Covid-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the culinary industry even though it has been certified halal due to implementing healthy protocols such as keeping a distance, avoiding crowds, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

Abstract

The rapid changes in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 are an important driving factor in the digital transformation process, including the education sector. There are challenges and also great opportunities to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in the modern world. Nowadays, students can learn independently from various learning sources, including from games (gamification). It is hoped that by combining the gamification strategy, the students will have more motivation to study English in a fun way. This research aims to develop a prototype of 3D interactive computer game which includes the English material and also the local wisdom of Indonesia. This prototype will be used as the alternative in teaching-learning English materials in General English courses. The methodology of this research is ADDIE Instructional Design, which consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The Unity game engine is used to create a game called " The Legend of Dewi Rengganis" to learn English in a fun way by taking 5 themes in General English material. The content of the game is inspired by the Story of Dewi Rengganis as one of the local folklores in Indonesia. The local wisdom in the story can be used as a means of demonstrating the uniqueness of Indonesian culture. and supporting tourism programs in Indonesia. Material testing and functional testing will be carried out to see whether this game can be run properly. Multimedia experts, linguists and users (students) will be asked for their feedback by distributing questionnaires and interviews.
