Abstract

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is utilized in the containment of potable water, nonetheless, it is susceptible to impairment due to temperature and duration of storage. Migration of formaldehyde from PET arises as a consequence of thermal deterioration. This study aims to ascertain the extent of formaldehyde transference in PET-contained drinking water of varying condition, subjected to diverse temperature setting and storage durations. An examination into the levels of formaldehyde migration in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottled drinking water was effectively carried out employing a validated high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technique. A total of 162 water samples from three different PET bottled water brands sourced from supermarkets in Palu City, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, underwent analysis. The formaldehyde assessment was executed utilizing a mobile phase composition of methanol:acetonitrile:water (48:12:40 v/v) for 12.97 minutes at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/minute on the 1st day, the 14th day, and the 42nd day while stored at room temperature and exposed to sunlight. Formaldehyde, lacking effective chromophoric entities and not readily ionizable, necessitated derivatization with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine before HPLC analysis. The findings of the study demonstrated exceptional method linearity within the concentration span of 0.5 to 1321 µg/mL, exhibiting a commendable correlation coefficient of 0.999. The limit of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were determined to be 17.33 and 57.76 µg/mL, correspondingly. Precision evaluations displayed average intraday and interday values of 128.46±3.48% and 103.19±0.12%, respectively (%RSD < 2/3 CV Horwitz ratio). The intraday and interday %recovery values were computed at 97.22±3.48% and 96.83±0.14% (n = 6). The scrutiny of formaldehyde concentrations in the water samples unveiled the absence of formaldehyde migration.

Abstract

The mendong plant is one of the plants that is widely cultivated by people in Blayu Village, Wajak District. However, the number of farmers cultivating mendong plants is decreasing, so the agricultural land for mendong plants is starting to decrease. This research aims to: 1) analyze changes in land use for mendong crop farming in Blayu Village; and 2) know the factors that cause changes in agricultural land use for mendong crops. This research uses a descriptive survey method by collecting several samples in the form of people through questions. Google Earth was used to analyze changes in the use of agricultural land for mendong crops in Blayu Village from 2010 to 2024. Based on the results of the analysis of changes in agricultural land use for mendong crops in Blayu Village in 2010-2024, an increase in changes in the area of ​​mendong crops was obtained by 26.45 ha or 91.4 %. Meanwhile, the factors causing changes in the use of agricultural land for mendong plants in Blayu Village are economic factors, labor, mendong craftsmen, and the availability of mendong plant drying equipment.

Abstract

Sustainable forest management is expected to significantly contribute to preventing climate change and supporting the achievement of the Forestry and Other Land Use (FOLU) Net Sink 2030. This study aims to determine the potential for biomass storage and carbon and economic valuation in the Arboretum of Forest Area with Special Purpose (KHDTK) Aek Nauli, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This study used systematic sampling with random start as an inventory method. The estimation of above-ground carbon uptake used general allometric equations and benefit transfer methods for the economic value of carbon. This study found 62 species of woody plants with 5 species classified as endangered according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species, namely Agathis dammara, Dryobalanops aromatica, Tectona grandis, Pinus merkusii and Saurauia bracteosa. There are 734 individuals of woody plants, including 84% in the tree phase and 16% in the pole phase, with dominant species in both phases, namely Pinus merkusii and Schima wallichii. Potential biomass and carbon stocks in the pole phase were 4.76 tons/ha and 2.24 tons/ha, respectively, while in the tree phase were 338.69 tons/ha and 159.19 tons/ha. The total estimated carbon sequestration reached 592.42 tons.CO2e/ha. Carbon stocks’ total potential economic value is IDR 2,578,832,243 (USD 164,100). Therefore, the Arboretum of KHDTK Aek Nauli is considered to have the potential to support the achievement of the FOLU Net Sink 2030 target. It is expected that the potential economic value of carbon can be converted into real value and optimized through a carbon trading scheme to offset greenhouse gas emissions and support the sustainable management of KHDTK Aek Nauli. Abstract

Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penggunaan metode Think Pair Share (TPS) dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) serta dampaknya terhadap tingkat partisipasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP Tarbiyatun Nasyi’in Paculgowang, Diwek, Jombang. TPS merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran kooperatif yang mencakup tiga tahap utama: berpikir mandiri, berdiskusi berpasangan, dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi kepada seluruh kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan metode Think Pair Share (TPS) terbukti secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Kepercayaan diri siswa juga meningkat karena mereka memiliki kesempatan untuk mempersiapkan diri dalam diskusi kecil sebelum berbicara di forum kelas. Selain itu, pemahaman siswa terhadap materi PAI menjadi lebih mendalam dan terstruktur. Guru berfungsi sebagai fasilitator yang membantu kelancaran diskusi serta membangun lingkungan belajar yang dinamis dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, pendekatan Think Pair Share terbukti efektif sebagai pendekatan untuk mewujudkan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan kolaboratif di lingkungan sekolah

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Mind Mapping dalam model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 4 Wajo tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 pada materi larutan penyangga. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posstest only control design. Populasinya adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 4 Wajo yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling. Pengambilan sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIPA Kreasi sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA Kolaborasi sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel bebas penelitian adalah metode mind mapping pada model discovery learning dan model discovery learning tanpa mind mapping dan variabel bebas penelitian adalah hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar pada materi larutan penyangga berupa post-test sebanyak 25 soal. Teknik analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen yakni 81,65 sedangkan kelas kontrol yakni 78,27. Hasil analisis prasyarat statistik inferensial hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa data kelas eksperimen dan kontrol tidak terdistribusi normal serta memiliki varians yang homogen. Dengan demikian dilakukan uji non parametrik mann-whitney dengan α = 0,05 dan dk 1,64. Hasil uji mann-whitney diperoleh Zhitung > Ztabel (9,68 > 1,64), ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh metode mind mapping pada model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 4 Wajo pada materi larutan penyangga.

Abstract

Menjaga kedisiplinan siswa sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, namun banyak sekolah tidak memiliki pendekatan sistematis untuk mengatasi pelanggaran. Studi kami di Sekolah Al Wasliyah Tembung mengidentifikasi tren peningkatan pelanggaran siswa, yang disebabkan oleh tidak adanya sistem pemantauan yang terstandarisasi. Untuk mengurangi hal ini, kami mengusulkan dan mengevaluasi Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (DSS) yang dirancang untuk melacak pelanggaran siswa secara sistematis dan menginformasikan sanksi akademis. Dengan menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), DSS mengklasifikasikan pelanggaran ke dalam kategori ringan, sedang, dan berat. Sistem ini menyediakan ikhtisar terstruktur dari data disiplin siswa, yang memfasilitasi pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan data untuk sanksi. DSS ini menawarkan alternatif penting untuk metode saat ini, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen disiplin siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan data siswa secara terstruktur dengan tingkat kategori, sehingga dapat mempermudah pemberian sangsi dengan berbasis data. Sistem monitoring ini diharapkan menjadi suatu alternatif, dari begitu banyak sistem yang sudah ada.

Abstract

The rapid changes in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 are an important driving factor in the digital transformation process, including the education sector. There are challenges and also great opportunities to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in the modern world. Nowadays, students can learn independently from various learning sources, including from games (gamification). It is hoped that by combining the gamification strategy, the students will have more motivation to study English in a fun way. This research aims to develop a prototype of 3D interactive computer game which includes the English material and also the local wisdom of Indonesia. This prototype will be used as the alternative in teaching-learning English materials in General English courses. The methodology of this research is ADDIE Instructional Design, which consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The Unity game engine is used to create a game called " The Legend of Dewi Rengganis" to learn English in a fun way by taking 5 themes in General English material. The content of the game is inspired by the Story of Dewi Rengganis as one of the local folklores in Indonesia. The local wisdom in the story can be used as a means of demonstrating the uniqueness of Indonesian culture. and supporting tourism programs in Indonesia. Material testing and functional testing will be carried out to see whether this game can be run properly. Multimedia experts, linguists and users (students) will be asked for their feedback by distributing questionnaires and interviews.
