Abstract

The incidence of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) in Indonesia is quite high, which is about 24-30% of urological cases treated in several central public hospitals. While the incidence of BPH in general hospital Soreang in 2014 shows a fairly high incidence rate (12.5 %) and the second number of the top ten surgery cases after fibro adenoma mamma. Open prostatectomy is an invasive treatment to help miction of the BPH patients and it can cause side effects especially urinary incontinence. According to the result of preliminarystudy indicated that 80 % patients who control to Soreang general hospital after open prostatectomy surgery have urinary incontinence. One kind of nursing interventions that can be given to overcome urinary incontinence is by doing bladder training. This study aims to determine the effect of bladder training with use of delay urination and scheduled urination technique to decrease the incidence of urinary incontinence in post operative BPH patients. The research used quasi experiment, with used pre and post test approach in two intervention groups without using control group to 60 samples who obtained by accidental sampling, so the total number of each group is 30 BPH patiens. The results showed that bladder training with both delay urination and scheduled urination techniques had a significant effect on decreasing incidence of urinary incontinence in postoperative BPH patients, but there was no significant difference in the results of the two bladder training techniques on decreasing incidence of urinary incontinence. Related to this result, to prevent urinary incontinence of the post operative BPH patients is suggested to the nurse to apply bladder training with delay urination and scheduled urination techniques and in its application need to considered the age and physical condition of the patient.

The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic with various variant genetic mutations and severe manifestations can pose a risk of death with a relatively high transmission rate throughout the world. Moreover, the level of public awareness of compliance with health protocols and a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS), is still low from various survey results in Indonesia, including the Palasari and Cipadung Villages (Cibiru District), Bandung City, West Java. Abstract

This research was motivated by the high incidence and mortality of stroke patients in Indonesia every year. Strokes can also cause disability and even death and often occur repeatedly, so it is necessary to control risk factors that can prevent the occurrence of these attacks, among others by exercising routine control. Routine control needs to be followed by adherence from the patient so that the effectiveness of treatment and complications that may arise can be monitored and controlled. This study aims to determine the compliance of post-stroke control patients based on demographic factors in Dr. Salamunun Hospital. The research method used is descriptive method, with a total sample of 191 people obtained through total sampling techniques. The data obtained came from secondary data, namely from the patient's medical record report. The results showed that demographic factors had a contribution to patient compliance, which was based on the age factor of almost half (33.5%) patients aged> 65 years and more than half of the respondents were male patients (68.9%) obedient do control post stroke. Meanwhile, according to the level of education, almost half (37.8%) of the graduates who were educated were compliant to control, and almost half (44.4%) of those who worked as compliant entrepreneurs exercised control after stroke and according to the status of patient visits that adhered to control, which was partly besaar (86.7%) old patients. Thus it can be concluded that only a small proportion (23.6%) of stroke patients who adhere to routine control after they have had a stroke. For this reason it is advisable for nurses to always remind the control schedule of both the patient and the patient's family after stroke about 2-3 days before the control schedule via social media.
