Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF LIVESTOCK PRODUCT DEMAND AT TAWAANG VILLAGE, TENGA DISTRICT SOUTH MINAHASA REGENCY. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of   *Alumni Fakultas Peternakan Unsrat **Jurusan Sosial Ekonomi Peternakan   livestock product demand in Tenga district. The problem this study was how far demand factors such as prices of chicken meat, pork, beef meat, fish, tofu and fermented soybean (tempe) affected the level of demand for livestock products in Tenga district.The total number of samples used in this study were 45 respondents of households. Data collection was conducted during 3 months using the survey method. The analysis used was the model of SUR (Seemingly Unrelated Regression) using the equation of the demand function. The results showed that the numbers of livestock product demand in the Tenga district were chicken meat of 3.04 kg/quarter, pork of 3.24 kg/quarter, beef of 1.29kg/quarter, and egg product of 64.56 eggs/quarter. Therefore; factor of the prices of chicken meat, pork, beef, fish, tofu and fermented soybean (tempe) influenced the demand of livestock products. Keywords: Demand, prices, animal product.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF PROFIT AND BREAK-EVEN ON BROILER FARM WITH BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP PATTERN (Case Study at Tetey village, Dimembe District of North Minahasa Regency). The objectives of this study were 1) to determine the pattern of partnerships business broiler farm at Tetey village with   DMC company, 2) to analyze the profit of  broiler farms run through a partnership pattern, 3) to analyze the breakeven point on a broiler farm run through a partnership pattern. Case study method was used on broiler chicken farm with the partnership model. The primary data obtained through observation and direct interviews with business owners of broiler chicken farms by using a questionaire. Secondary data were obtained from agencies associated with this research such as the Office of Agriculture, District Office. The results of study revealed that 1) Partnership pattern run by broiler breeders at Tetey village provided the doc, as many as 10,000 heads / period, including feed, vitamins and medicines, while farmers supplied cage and supplies, water, electricity, as well as labor and land. In addition, Broiler prices were IDR 18,000 / kg as fix price, 2) total profit of broiler farm at Tetey village through a partnership pattern were IDR 53,159,675 / period or IDR 22,149,685 / month, and 3) the number of breakeven point on broiler farm at Tetey village run with a partnership pattern were 18,691 head, or on the sale of IDR 958,644, 442.Keywords: breakeven point, partnership pattern, broiler farm.

Abstract

THE PATTERN OF HOUSEHOLD FARMERS CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE OF BENEFICIARIES OF CAPITAL ASSISTANCE FOR CATTLE PRODUCTION IN THE WESTERN TOMPASO DISTRICT OF MINAHASA REGENCY. Household farmers are one of the economic units that have a relationship with production and consumption decisions.  Assistance of livestock production capital obtained by household farmers allocated its use in the context of household consumption to maximize the utility or satisfaction of the household. This research aims to analyze the pattern of consumption expenditure on farmers households as a recipient of production capital assistance for livestock. The study used descriptive and quantitative analysis. The respondent of this research which is household farmer’s as one of the recipients of capital assistance that has been selling cows.  Patern of  household consumption expenditure by farmers as beneficiaries of capital assistance in the district of West Tompaso divided into: Food and Non-food consumption. Expenditure of food consumption differentiated two types which are expenditure of food consumption purchased and not purchased. The results showed that out of all three allocation of consumption expenditure is known that the allocation of food consumption expenditure of household farmers is divided in to the first; the largest purchased for fish production is 28.69 percent, second; the value expenditure of food consumption not purchased in food seasonings (29.94%), and the last one is the allocation of non-food consumption expenditure were on  clothing, footwear, and headgear (27.83%.) Keywords :Expenditure, consumption, households

Abstract

FEASIBILITY ANALYSIS OF BROILERS IN TARATARA I VILAGE WEST TOMOHON DISTRICT TOMOHON CITY. Broiler business which is run by partnership pattern, is one of the suppliers of food products that source animal protein. Increased demand for broiler meat, needs to be followed by business development that has previously calculated the level of business feasibility. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a broiler business based on Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), R/C, Net B/C. The study was conducted by taking a case in a broiler business with a capacity of 3.000 animals, with 6 maintenance periods per year, which has been undertaken since 2015, located in Taratara I Village, Tomohon Barat District. The results showed that the average cost wasIDR. 91.784.947/period while income was IDR. 99.873.539/period, and profit wasIDR 8.088.592/period. The NPV value was IDR 26.837.471 which had a positive number, an IRR value was 19,03%, and  both of R/C  and Net B/C was higher than 1, so that the broiler business can be implemented and developed.

Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF SAFETY  MARGIN ON “MERRYLAND” QUAIL POULTRY FARM AT KALI VILLAGE PINELENG DISTRICT OF MINAHASA REGENCY. The purpose of this study was to determine the break-even point of "Merryland" quail poultry farm and to determine the margin of safety of this farm. The research location was at the "Merryland" quail poultry farm on Kali village Pineleng district of Minahasa regency, with the consideration that the venture is a private farm enterprise. This farm enterprise had been operated more than 3 years. The number of birds held were 5000 chicken quail. This study was conducted during one month from December 10, 2016 to January 10, 2017. The method was applied using the case study method, in the form of primary data and secondary data. Primary data were using data obtained from interviews with the respondents through a list of questions that had been provided. Secondary data were obtained using variables at the office related to research data, including the Village Office, District Office, and Office of the Department of Agriculture / Animal Husbandry. Based on the survey, results indicated that quail poultry farm of "Merryland" had reached breakeven sales of 690,732 quail eggs or on sale of IDR259,589,665. If the breeder declined in egg sales, the number of eggs tolerated of farmers not sufferin economic losses were 58.8% of the total sales. Keywords : Quail, Margin Of SafetyÂ
