Abstract

ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF LIVESTOCK PRODUCT DEMAND AT TAWAANG VILLAGE, TENGA DISTRICT SOUTH MINAHASA REGENCY. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of   *Alumni Fakultas Peternakan Unsrat **Jurusan Sosial Ekonomi Peternakan   livestock product demand in Tenga district. The problem this study was how far demand factors such as prices of chicken meat, pork, beef meat, fish, tofu and fermented soybean (tempe) affected the level of demand for livestock products in Tenga district.The total number of samples used in this study were 45 respondents of households. Data collection was conducted during 3 months using the survey method. The analysis used was the model of SUR (Seemingly Unrelated Regression) using the equation of the demand function. The results showed that the numbers of livestock product demand in the Tenga district were chicken meat of 3.04 kg/quarter, pork of 3.24 kg/quarter, beef of 1.29kg/quarter, and egg product of 64.56 eggs/quarter. Therefore; factor of the prices of chicken meat, pork, beef, fish, tofu and fermented soybean (tempe) influenced the demand of livestock products. Keywords: Demand, prices, animal product.

Abstract

ABSTRACT INCOME ANALYSIS OF SMALLHOLDER FARMERS FOR BEEF CATTLE IN SOUTH WEDA DISTRICT OF CENTRAL HALMAHERA REGENCY. Objective of this study was to evaluate the income and factors affecting income of smallholder farmer of beef cattle on the high land and low land at South Weda district of Central Halmahera regency. Samples of these smallholder farmers were defined by purposive method based on high population of beef cattle. Quantitative data were analyzed by multiple regression model. Results showed that the average production costs were IDR 37,310,606.00 on high land location and IDR 25,597,372.00 on low land location. The average output of smallholder farmers from beef cattle were IDR 56,397,059.00 on high land location and IDR 38,475,000.00 on low land location. Therefore, their incomes were IDR 19,086,453.00/year on high land location and IDR 12,877,628.00/year on low land location. Result of multiple regression analysis showed that beef cattle stock variable (animal value at end of year) affected on the smallholder farmer income of beef cattle, while education and age of smallholders did not affect on their income at South Weda district of Central Halmahera regency. Key words: Smallholder farmer income, South Weda district Central Halmahera regency.

Abstract

FACTORS AFFECTING DEMAND FOR NATIVE CHICKEN MEAT IN TRADITIONAL MARKET MANADO CITY. The objective of this study was to know the influence of native chicken meat price, taste and consumers’ income on the demand of native chicken meat in traditional market of Manado city. Accidental sampling method was use in this study. Fifty sample of consumers was randomly chosen in Bersehati market and 50 respondents taken in Pinasungkulan market. Therefore the total respondents included in this research was 100 consumers. The study showed that both overall and partially test indicated that chicken meat pice, consumers’ income and consumers’ appetite was significantly affecting demand for native chicken by consumers on traditional market in Manado city

Abstract

ABSTRACT BEEF CATTLE FARMER GROUP DYNAMICS LM3 DISTRICT IN THE VILLAGE PINAPALANGKOW SULUUN TARERAN. The role of the community is  very large in livestock development, thereby fostering community institutions farmers through farmer groups need to be improved. State farmer group members can affect group dynamics through indicators dynamics. The formation of farmer group dynamics is expected to improve income and the welfare of each member of the farmer group. This study aimed to analyze the dynamics of the relationship with the farmer group operating revenues cattle farmer groups LM3 Model Anugerah in the village of Pinapalangkow in Sub District of Suluun Tareran. The study used a survey method, with sampling method is total sampling. Person correlation analysis results obtainedrcount of 0.67  of 0.67 which shows there is a relationship between the dynamics and the income of the group members rcount value shows the relationship between the dynamics and the income of the group is a positive relationship, which means that the higher the income the higher the lead group dynamics. The test results showed a statistically significant effect on the dynamics of income groups at the 95% confidence level . Keywords: Dynamics, Farmer Group,Income, Cattle

Abstract

ABSTRACTHOUSEHOLD INCOMICANALYSIS AND ITS EFFECT ONMEAT AND EGG CONSUMPTIONAT SULUUN TARERAN DISTRICTOF SOUTH MINAHASAREGENCY. District of Suluun Tareranis the area located in the regency ofSouth Minahasa. The majority of SuluunTareran district communities areworking household farmers and minorityof this community are working as civilservants, private employees andbussinesman. The communityconsumption of meat and eggs dependslargely on the income earned. Thetendency of increased consumption ofmeat and eggs depends also on theincreased income of the community inthis regency. The higher the income thehigher also the deman tendency toconsume meat and egg. The problem ofthis study is that are the consumptions ofmeat and eggs in the District SuluunTareran influenced by householdincome? The purpose of this study wasto evaluate the amount of meat and eggconsumptions of the household and todetermine the effect of householdincome on the consumption of meat andeggs at the district of Suluun Tareran.This research has been conducted in thedistrict of Suluun Tareran involving thetotal sample of 74 respondent ofhouseholds. Data collection of thisresearch was conducted during 2 monthsusing survey method. The data waereanalysed using simple regressionanalysis to determine the effect ofincome on consumption of meat andeggs. The results showed that theaverage household income was Rp2,558,050 per month. Meat and eggconsumption have not reached the newtarget of 7.7 kg and 4.1 kg per capita peryear, respectively; to fulfill theappropriate food and nutrition workrecommended by widyakarya in 2004.The analysis showed that the householdincome significantly affect theconsumption of meat and eggs in theDistrict of Suluun TareranKeywords: Meat-egg consumption,Household Income,Suluun Tareran district

Abstract

ABSTRACTEFFECT OF FEED AND OPERATING COSTS ON PROFIT OF CHICKEN LAYING FARM OWNED BY VONY KANAGA AT TAWAAN VILLAGE IN BITUNG CITY (Case study). This research was conducted in Vony Kanaga laying farm located in District Ranowulu Bitung City. The research problem was how the influence of feed and labor costs to the amount of profits and how much profit can be obtained at the company laying chicken farm in the district of Bitung City Ranowulu. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of feed and labor costs against profits in laying chicken company, to find out the benefits of the company laying chicken farm in the district of Bitung City Ranowulu. The data collection method is using a field survey using primary and secondary data. Subdistrict Ranowulu Bitung determined based on the largest population in the city of Bitung. Model analysis of data that multiple linear regression analysis and profit. The measured variable is the cost of feed, labor costs and profits. The result showed that the average cost of laying chicken feed per day is Rp. 7.813.410. The average labor cost per day is Rp. 2.388.000. Total Proceeds from the sale of eggs and feces in the company-owned chicken laying Vony Kanaga Rp. 13.514.520 so as to obtain profit of Rp. 3.313.110. Based on the results of this study concluded that the cost of feed and labor simultaneously significant effect on profits in the company-owned farm chicken laying Vony Kanaga in District Ranowulu Bitung City. Abstract

THE EFFECT OF FEED COST ON THE PROFIT OF PIG FARMERS IN WERDHI AGUNG VILLAGE, WEST DUMOGA DISTRICT. This study aims to determine  influence of feed cost on pig farmer’s profits. This  research was conducted by survey method to 30 respondents of pig farmers in werdhi agung village, west dumoga subdistrict. The determination of samples was carried out by purposive sampling, with the consideration of breeders  have pig over 20 heads and more than one year experienced on pig farm. The analytical method used in this study was multiple linear regression analysis. Study results showed the cost of consentrate feed, bran, corn, had significantly effect on the profits of pig farmers simultaneously Partially the cost of concentrate had a very significant effect, while the cost of ingredient feed materials of bran, corn, had no significant effect on profits.
