Abstract

Writing is an important expression of human experiences. In this article, I try to (re)present my experience as a supervisee. I employ autobiographical or autoethnographical style to portray an incident within which my supervisor and I were involved in a meaningful interactive supervision processes. Some references quoted are not to frame the idea of my writing, but rather, as a referent which could justify, confirm, or criticize my experience. The use of the first single person style is legitimized and the question of whether this kind of writing is scientific or not, should be put aside when we were within the context of qualitative inquiry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Batuputih yang ditinjau dari Adversity Quotient (AQ). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari enam siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Batuputih yang ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria tipe AQ dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan merupakan angket Adversity Quotient (AQ), tes uraian, dan pedoman wawancara yang telah divalidasi dengan baik oleh ahli. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Subjek dengan AQ tipe climber dapat menyelesaikan tiga tahapan pemecahan masalah oleh Polya dengan cukup baik, yaitu: tahap memahami masalah, menyusun rencana, melaksanakan rencana, namun, belum mampu memeriksa kebenaran hasil secara lengkap; (2) Subjek dengan AQ tipe camper belum mampu memahami masalah secara lengkap, sehingga, kesulitan dalam menyusun rencana secara lengkap; dan (3) Subjek dengan AQ tipe quitter tidak dapat memahami masalah, serta tidak memiliki gambaran penyelesaian masalah.Kata Kunci: pemecahan masalah matematis, adversity quotientThe objective of this study is to characterize the mathematical problem-solving capabilities of 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Batuputih, based on their Adversity Quotient (AQ). This research used a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study consisted of six students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Batuputih who were determined based on AQ criteria with purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were an Adversity Quotient (AQ) questionnaire, a description test, and interview guidelines that had been properly validated by experts. The data collected were analyzed with the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that: (1) Subjects with climber-type AQ can solve the three stages of problem solving by Polya quite well, namely: the stages of understanding the problem, developing a plan, implementing the plan, however, they have not been able to check the correctness of the results completely; (2) Subjects with camper-type AQ have not been able to understand the problem completely, thus, having difficulty in developing a complete plan; and (3) Subjects with quitter-type AQ cannot understand the problem, and do not have a picture of solving the problem.Keywords: mathematical problem solving, adversity quotient

Abstract

This study aims to know the description of students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems through open-ended questions investigated on the base of learning styles. The study is descriptive research employing a qualitative approach. There were six research subjects, namely, two students with visual learning styles, two students with auditory learning styles, and two students with kinesthetic learning styles. The instruments used were written tests, a questionnaire, and an interview guide. The results showed that the students with a visual learning style were able to fulfil indicators at the stages of providing simple explanations, building basic skills, arranging strategies and tactics, and drawing conclusions. Further, the students with an auditory learning style were less able to fulfil indicators at the stages of providing simple explanations. They were not able to fulfil indicators at the stage of managing strategies and tactics, as well as drawing conclusions; yet, they were able to fulfil indicators at the stage of building basic skills. And, the students with a kinesthetic learning style were less able to fulfil indicators at the stage of providing simple explanations; moreover, they were not yet able to fulfil indicators at the stages of building basic skills, managing strategies and tactics, as well as drawing conclusions.

Abstract

Program Asistensi Mengajar PKKM di Celebes Global School, Kota Makassar, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap matematika, keterampilan guru dalam pengajaran numerasi, serta memberikan pengalaman langsung bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Negeri Makassar. Program ini melibatkan beberapa kegiatan, termasuk Math Teaching Program, Mathematics Consultation Program, Math Relay Games, pelatihan guru berbasis TIU Training Program, dan eksplorasi teknologi melalui Geogebra Exploration. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlangsung selama dua bulan melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, serta pelaporan dan publikasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan inovatif, seperti integrasi teknologi dan aktivitas kolaboratif, meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematika, minat belajar, serta keterampilan guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Program ini juga memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kompetensi mengajar dan menghadapi tantangan nyata di dunia pendidikan. Keberhasilan program ini mendukung implementasi kebijakan kegiatan ini serta memberikan model pembelajaran interaktif yang dapat menjadi acuan untuk program serupa di masa depan.
