Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi hutan lahan kering sekunder (blok tahun 2016) dan hutan lahan kering primer (blok tahun 2018) yang didasarkan pada struktur dan komposisi jenis tegakan tingkat semai, pancang, tiang dan pohon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur hutan seperti huruf J terbalik yang berarti kondisi struktur hutan primer dan sekunder normal. Jumlah jenis yang ditemukan dalam petak ukur di blok tahun 2016 adalah 54 dan di blok 2018 adalah 50 jenis. Nilai indek keragaman jenis (H’) pada blok tahun 2016 dan 2018 berkisar antara 2,7-3,35 (tinggi), nilai indeks kemerataan jenis antara 0,83-0,93 (tinggi) dan nilai indeks kekayaan jenis antara 5,10-7,73 (tinggi) untuk semua tingkat pertumbuhan. Berdasarkan nilai-nilai tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi hutan baik pada hutan sekunder maupun hutan primer tergolong baik dan ideal.

Abstract

Peat swamp forests are dominated by local tree types that have economic value, such as ramin, merani, nyatoh and jelutung. Jelutung trees provide benefits in the form of wood and sap, in addition, swamp jelutung is an ideal type for the rehabilitation of peat swamp forests that are resistant to flooded peatlands. Based on the above problems, it is necessary to conduct a study to analyze the relationship between the growth of the diameter and height of the jelutung plant. This research was carried out in 2023 in community jelutung gardens in Palangka Raya City. The method used to study the growth dynamics of jelutung trees is carried out by purposive sampling, namely by selecting and determining jelutung trees based on the age class of jelutung trees with a sampling intensity of ±5% of the area or number of trees. The results of measuring the diameter and height of the tree were analyzed through a correlation regression test displayed in the form of tables and graphs. The results of the study at the location of the jelutung plantation in Bukit Tunggal Village showed that the relationship between the diameter and height of the tree in the farmer's garden 1 had a coefficient interval value of 0.9476 and the relationship between the diameter and height of the tree in the farmer's garden 2 showed a coefficient interval value of 0.9563. while the location of the jelutung plantation in Kalampangan Village showed the relationship between the diameter and height of the jelutung tree in the farmer's garden 1 with a coefficient interval value of 0, 9151, the relationship between the diameter and height of the tree in the farmer's garden 2 was 0.8277 and the relationship between the diameter and height of the tree in the farmer's garden 3, farmer 4 and farmer 5 was 0.79551. This value shows that there is a very strong and positive relationship between the two variables.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis spasial guna menentukan sebaran lahan kritis dan daya dukung lingkungan di Kecamatan Bukit Batu, Kota Palangka Raya. Lahan kritis memiliki fungsi yang kurang baik sebagai media produksi untuk pertumbuhan tanaman. Data yang digunakan meliputi peta curah hujan, tutupan lahan, erosi, fungsi kawasan, kemiringan, dan jenis tanah, yang kemudian diolah menggunakan aplikasi ArcGIS 10.3. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kecamatan Bukit Batu Kota Palangka Raya memiliki 5 Kelas Sebaran lahan kritis yaitu tidak kritis, potensial kritis, agak kritis, kritis, dan sangat kritis. Lahan potensial kritis terluas 58,88% atau 35.512,94 Ha dari luasan Kecamatan Bukit Batu dan luasan terkecil lahan sangat kritis luas 22,22 Ha (0,04%). Semakin tinggi nilai faktor tersebut maka semakin tinggi tingkat kekritisan lahan. Daya dukung lingkungan sedang persentase tertinggi 58,88% luasan 35512,94 Ha dengan nilai keanekaragaman jenis sedang H’ 2,38. Daya dukung tinggi hanya 36,74% luas 2644,38 Ha nilai H’3 dan terkecil Daya dukung lingkungan rendah 4,38% luas 2644,38 Ha nilai H’0,95.

Abstract

Monitoring changes in peat swamp forest biodiversity is a necessity for identifying and accounting for the impacts of various factors that cause degradation and deforestation. Information on the condition of this biodiversity can be obtained using Landsat 8 Imagery. This imagery allows for a more efficient, effective, and systematic analysis of changes in vegetation density. This study aimed to assess the dynamic changes in peat swamp forest biodiversity over approximately the last 10 years. The research findings indicate that the rates of degradation and deforestation (16.86%) are higher than the rate of regrowth (6.27%)5. This suggests that the ecosystem's condition is experiencing a significant decline. This decline is characterized by a tendency for the diversity, richness, and evenness of flora species to decrease. The study concludes that the floristic dynamics at the Rungan sub-watershed have declined, which can also affect the existence and habitat of its fauna.
