Abstract

Image is one of the most popular media used in today’s information exchange. Increased needs for the use of images must also be supported by available storage media. The imagery generated from each high-resolution camera device has a relatively large size. Image compression is a data compression application performed on digital image in order to reduce the redundancy of the data contained in the image so that it can be stored or transmitted efficiently.Image compression techniques can be grouped into two namely lossless compression and lossy compression. Lossy compression is a method to compress the image where compressed image decompression results are not the same as the original image because there is missing information, but still can be tolerated by the eye. Lossless compression is an image compression where the decompression of compressed images is the same as the original image, no information is lost. For the following image compression by reducing image quality that can still be tolerated by the eye.

Abstract

Image compression is a process that can reduce image size. In general, there are two types, lossless compression and loss compression. The method usually used in the JPEG standard is lossy compression, which removes some of the image information and takes advantage of the weakness in the insensitivity of the human eye in recognizing color gradations. With such large storage, data transfer or exchange is also increasingly difficult, especially data exchange using small storage areas. Tools that usually limit the size of storage for exchanging data. From the existing results using the DCT method is able to compress files up to 96%. Can be seen from the overall file average up to 74%

Abstract

The level of competition for new student admissions at tertiary institutions in the Central Java region for the last 5 years is quite high. STMIK Sinar Nusantara has also experienced the impact of competition, which can be seen through the decline in new students by an average of 20% in the last 5 years. This study aims to determine how much influence the promotional media has on the acceptance of new students. By collecting data from questionnaires that have been distributed to 69 parents of STMIK Sinar Nusantara students. Where these students entered college from batch 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. The promotional media studied included print media, namely posters, brochures and billboards. And electronic media, namely radio and websites, as well as other media through daily conversations. After the data is tested for validity, reliability test and classical assumption are processed to produce a regression equation. Hypothesis testing shows that the three independent variables studied, namely the print media (X1), electronic media (X2) and other media (X3) variables, have a positive effect on the dependent variable, namely New Student Admissions (Y). Through variable X1, it has a coefficient value of 0.990, which means the effectiveness of print media has a positive influence on registrant interest (Y), as well as variables X2 and X3, each of which has a coefficient value of X2 = 0.787 and X3 = 0.626.

Abstract

Umbul Siblarak is a natural tourist destination with significant tourist potential. However, limited internet access hinders promotion, service delivery, and visitor data management. This community service initiative aims to expand WiFi network access in the Umbul Siblarak tourist area to support digital promotion, cashless transactions, and increase Regional Original Income (PAD). Implementation methods include site surveys, network topology design, device installation, system configuration, and manager training. Results show an 18% increase in visitor numbers within three months of installation, a 25% increase in digital transactions by MSMEs, and increased exposure of Umbul Siblarak on social media. This program significantly contributes to strengthening the local economy through the optimization of information technology.
