Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in Indonesian secondary schools within the digital era. The curriculum aims to foster a flexible, student-centered education to enhance creativity, independence, and adaptability among students. Utilizing qualitative methods, including interviews, observations, and document analysis, the research explores the curriculum's impact on teaching practices and learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the curriculum has effectively introduced project-based learning and digital tools, creating a more engaging and interactive classroom environment. Students have demonstrated improved academic performance and growth in essential soft skills such as communication and collaboration. However, challenges persist, including disparities in digital infrastructure between urban and rural areas and varying levels of digital readiness among teachers. Teacher feedback highlights positive aspects of the curriculum but also points to the need for more professional development and support. Students appreciate the curriculum's relevance but suggest improvements in assessment guidelines and feedback mechanisms.

Abstract

This research investigates the role of higher education in fostering economic development in Egypt, focusing on policy implementation and the alignment of educational outcomes with market needs. The study utilizes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative semi-structured interviews with students, educators, and policymakers to explore perceptions of higher education's contribution to economic growth. The findings reveal that while Egypt's higher education system has made significant progress in increasing accessibility, there remain gaps in the relevance of education to the labor market. Regression analysis highlights a positive correlation between educational attainment and economic indicators, though skills mismatches persist. Case studies of successful university-industry partnerships underscore the importance of practical, hands-on learning and innovation in driving economic progress. Furthermore, comparisons with global best practices, particularly in South Korea and Finland, provide insights into potential policy reforms. Recommendations include enhancing university-industry collaboration, improving curriculum relevance, and investing in research and development to ensure higher education in Egypt supports sustainable economic growth

Abstract

This study explores the application of constructivist approaches in Arabic language teaching and examines their relationship with modern linguistic theories. The primary objectives are to investigate how constructivist principles are implemented in Arabic classrooms and evaluate their effectiveness in enhancing students' language skills. Additionally, the study analyzes how cognitive and generative-transformational theories are integrated into these teaching methods. The findings reveal that constructivist approaches, such as project-based learning and collaborative activities, significantly improve student engagement, motivation, and language proficiency. Cognitive strategies, including metacognitive activities, and problem-solving tasks are effectively employed to support learning. Furthermore, generative-transformational theory influences the teaching of Arabic syntax and grammar, enhancing students' understanding of language structures. The study concludes that combining constructivism with modern linguistic theories offers valuable insights for improving language instruction. Practical recommendations for educators include incorporating constructivist strategies and theoretical principles to enhance teaching effectiveness.

This study explores the role of Siti Walidah as a prominent figure in the women's movement in the field of education in Indonesia. It examines the concept of women's education from her perspective, particularly through her founding of the women’s organization ‘Aisyiyah, which operates in the areas of religion, social affairs, economy, and education. The purpose of this research is twofold: to describe Siti Walidah’s perspective on women's education and to outline her contributions in advancing education through ‘Aisyiyah. This research employs a library-based approach, utilizing various sources such as books, journals, documents, dictionaries, magazines, encyclopedias, and other relevant materials. The study involves a textual analysis of Siti Walidah’s educational thoughts, focusing especially on her approach to women’s education. It is analytical descriptive in nature, aiming to objectively present and interpret the actual conditions related to the subject of the study. The findings indicate that Siti Walidah’s advocacy for women’s education included several significant initiatives: founding a religious study group known as Sopo Tresno, teaching women in Kauman to read the Qur'an, and establishing the Maghribi School, a religious study group specifically for women held during the Maghrib prayer time.
