Abstract

The right marketing media really supports the success of a business, from small to large businesses. Therefore, the selection and use of marketing media must be adapted to current market conditions. Marketing antique pots by selling antique pots on the side of the highway waiting for potential buyers. This is deemed ineffective in line with the progress of the online era and in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic which seems less innovative. This makes marketing of antique pot products stagnant and the solution offered in this partner-based community service program is the use of a marketplace (Shopee) for Sido Mulyo's Antique Pot partners as a marketing medium for selling antique pots. This activity is expected to form an effective sales marketing process between sellers and buyers, so that the marketing process will be faster and easier. The problems faced by Sido Mulyo's Antique Pot partners are (1) sales of antique pots have decreased in line with social restrictions set by the government. (2) There is still limited knowledge of craftsmen about the right marketing media in marketing antique pot products so that they still maintain conventional marketing methods. Marketplace is a certain place where the market or buying and selling activities between shop owners and consumers takes place in public. Meanwhile, Shopee is an application that is engaged in buying and selling, first established in Indonesia in June 2015. With the Shopee marketplace for Sido Mulyo antique pot craftsmen, it is hoped that the marketing results of antique pot sales can be maximally achieved with technology that makes it easier.

Abstract

Antam's gold price is more expensive than the price of gold used by more investors for long-term use. Sometimes the price of antam gold cannot be predicted at any time. Antam's rising gold prices were moved by many factors, sent in exchange rates of US dollars (USD). If the exchange rate of the US dollar (USD) decreases, the price of gold will rise and vice versa, if the value of the US dollar (USD) strengthens, the price of gold will increase. This condition makes it difficult for investors to predict the price of gold in the future. Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is known as one of the good methods in predicting. In this study an evaluation of the results of the price of gold using ANN with the help of PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and GA (Genetic Algorithm) optimization. PSO has many similarities with GA, which is an algorithm adopted from the process of supporting humans. The results of the study prove that PSO Optimization is able to provide an increase in optimizing the weights on the Neural Network by producing the best RMSE value, which is equal to 0.026, while GA optimization only produces a value of 0.09.

Abstract

The need for fluids in the human body when in hot weather is increasing because hot weather can make humans dehydrated. Dehydration is a condition in which the body loses too much fluid and electrolytes compared to what enters the body (Sari & Nindya, 2017). Beverage sellers who are on the side of the road can help meet water needs. However, the existence of drink sellers on the side of the road often disrupts traffic and the cleanliness and quality of the product is not guaranteed. Based on the problems above, vending machines can be used for easy consumer access because they are easy and fast to use, and can be available 24 hours. Beverage vending machines are designed using the finite state automata concept as a program flow. The result is a proven FSA that can be applied to beverage vending machines easily and according to the grooves designed in the FSA diagram. Input and output can be accepted and rejected according to the FSA diagram that has been determined in the study. This is based on the results of tests that have been carried out using JFLAP.

Abstract

Abstract

Threads is a text-based social media application developed by Meta that has gained significant popularity since its launch. However, user reviews on the Google Play Store reveal an imbalanced sentiment distribution, with a dominance of positive sentiment, potentially reducing the accuracy of sentiment classification models. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of combining the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm with the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) to address the data imbalance in user reviews of the Threads application. The dataset consists of 1,000 user reviews, which underwent preprocessing steps including case folding, cleaning, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. The data were then represented using the TF-IDF weighting method and analyzed using XGBoost, both before and after applying SMOTE. Results show that without SMOTE, the model achieved an accuracy of 87.60%, with a low recall for the negative class (0.69). After applying SMOTE, accuracy improved to 97.49%, and recall for the negative class reached 0.99, with balanced F1-scores for both positive and negative classes (0.98 and 0.97, respectively). These findings demonstrate that SMOTE is effective in handling class imbalance and enhancing model performance. In conclusion, the integration of XGBoost and SMOTE significantly improves fairness and accuracy in sentiment classification of app reviews, offering valuable insights for the application of machine learning in user opinion analysis. Future research is recommended to use larger datasets and consider deep learning models such as BERT.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a common chronic disease with significant global impact. Early identification of individuals at high risk of developing diabetes is critical for the prevention and management of the disease. This study explores the use of Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) in decision tree-based classifiers to improve the accuracy of diabetes risk prediction. The Pima Indians Diabetes Database (PIDD) dataset was used as the database, and algorithms such as Decision Tree, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Xtreme Gradient Boosting were tested. The results showed that the application of RFE improved the model accuracy, with Random Forest and Gradient Boosting achieving the highest accuracy of 77.27%. RFE also successfully identified the most relevant features, reduced the risk of overfitting, and improved model interpretability. This study provides a strong foundation for the development of more effective predictive tools in diabetes management and prevention. Future studies are recommended to test the generalizability of this approach to a wider dataset and in various clinical contexts.
