Abstract

Peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) is one of the legume plants that are well known and quite important in Indonesia. The purpose of the study was to find out the concentration of Superbionic liquid organic fertilizers and inorganic fertilizers that are right for the growth and yield of the Gajah variety(Arachis hypogaea L.). The research was conducted in Sirnabaya Village of Teluk Jambe Bay District of Karawang Regency in July to October 2021. Research methods used experimental methods with Randomized Group Design (RAK) Single Factor Combinations. Treatment with several concentrations of Superbionik liquid organic fertilizer with Mutiara compound inorganic fertilizer (16:16:16) A (0 ml/1 water + 0 kg/ha Mutiara inorganic fertilizer (16:16:16) B, C, D (2 ml/1 + 125, 187.5, 250 kg/ha) E, F, G (4 ml/1 + 125, 187.5, 250 kg/ha) H, I, J (6 ml/1 water + 125, 187.5, 250 kg/ha). The results showed that there was a real influence from the combination of Superbionik liquid organic fertilizer with inorganic fertilizer on the yield of peanut plants (Arachis hypogaea L.) varieties of Gajah on the parameters of the number of leaves, the weight of dry pods per plant, and the weight of dry pods per plot. More research is needed with the same treatment with different varieties.

Abstract

The demand for peanuts increase every year has an impact to farmers, varieties and fertilizers greatly determines peanuts productivity in an area. This research aimed is to know the effect and right dosage of raja bulu banana peel liquid compost to peanut crop variety. This research has been conducted since March until June 2021 in Sukabumi. This research used randomized block design (RBD) with two factors. First treatment was peanut crop varieties and second treatment was dosage of raja bulu banana peel liquid compost. There are several varieties for first treatment that is Local variety (V0), Gajah variety (V1) and Garuda variety (V2). For second treatment each treatment was control or without dosage (P0), 25 ml (P1), 50 ml (P2) and 75 ml (P3) with three replications. The result was analyzed using analysis variance (ANOVA) and continued with DMRT. The result this research showed local variety with 75 ml raja bulu banana peel liquid compost dosage (V0P3) the highest in several parameters that was, amount of pods (12.82 pods), weight of pods (30.92 g), 100 grains weight (40.17 g), and amount of yield (3.52 ton/ha).

Abstract

The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers without the application of organic fertilizers can cause nutrient imbalances in the soil, low fertilization efficiency, damage to soil structure, and low soil microbiology. This experiment was conducted in Experimental Station of Indonesia Center for Rice Research Sukamandi Jaya Village, Subang District, West Java from July to November 2020. The objective of the experiment was to find out of N, P, K and organic fertilizer that gave the best yield on growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.). The research was used experimenthal method it was arranged in split plot design with 6 threatment and 4 replications. As the main plot was N, P, K fertilizer, consist of 4 threatment of fertilizer: P1 (kontrol), P2 (+PK), P3 (PHSL), P4 (NP), P5 (+NK), and P6 (+NPK). As subplot was organic fertilizer: B1 (2 ton/ha), B2 (compost rice straw 5 ton/ha), and B3 (control). The effect of treatment is analyzed with variety analysis and if the F test is 5% significant, then to find out the best treatment continued with further DMRT tests (Duncan Multiple Range Test). The results showed that there was an interaction between the provision of inorganic and organic fertilizers to the height of plants aged 35 days after planting and 1000 grains weight. Meanwhile, at the height parameters of plants aged 21 days after planting, 57 days after planting, 64 days after planting, and 84 days after planting, number of tillers, number of panicles per hill, number of grains, and the grain yield there are real influences independently. The highest grain yield of 4,84 Kg/tile (6,45 tons/ha) was achieved by P5 (+NK) treatment and was not real different from P3 (PHSL), P4 (+NP), and P6 (+NPK) treatment with consecutive weights of 4,82 Kg/tile (6,43 tons/ha), 4,44 Kg/tile (5,92 tons/ha), and 4,46 Kg/tile (5,95 tons/ha).

Abstract

Morphological characterization is one of the best ways to develop maize varieties, characterization at the morphological level is needed, especially to identify the phenotype and its changes related to the ecotype. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological character and yield of several prospective sweet corn hybrids (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) and to obtain the best line. The research was conducted in the Ambu Garden, Pusakamulya Village, Wanayasa sub District, Purwakarta District, from July 2021 to September 2021. The design used was a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 33 genotypes of prospective hybrids and 3 commercial comparison varieties and 3 replications. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the genotype of the prospective hybrid tested on the morphological characters of plant height, stem diameter, corn cob height, number of corn cob per plant, length of corn cob and diameter of corn cob. The hybrid candidate genotype that showed the highest response to the morphological characterization of plant height was UNSIKA09 with an average value of 176.19 cm, the number of leaves was UNSIKA09 (7.69 strands), the stem diameter character was UNSIKA09 (23.42 dm ), the character of the height of the corn cob position was UNSIKA09 (103.69 cm), while the character of the yield component of the number corn cobs per plant was UNSIKA38 (1.93 cobs), character of the length of the corn cob was UNSIKA01 (21.75 cm), and the diameter character corn cob is UNSIKA03 with an average value of 46.92 dm. There were 25 candidates for hybrid sweet corn that were not significantly different from the comparison varieties, namely UNSIKA01, UNSIKA02, UNSIKA03, UNSIKA09, UNSIKA10, UNSIKA14, UNSIKA15, UNSIKA19, UNSIKA21, UNSIKA22, UNSIKA23, UNSIKA26, UNSIKA27, UNSIKA28, UNSIKAS32, UNSIKAS29, UNSIKA33 , UNSIKA34, UNSIKA36, UNSIKA37, UNSIKA38, and UNSIKA40.

Abstract

Cultivation of sweet corn in Indonesia is experiencing problems such as productivity that has not been maximized. One of the ways to maximize maize productivity is by assembling superior hybrids. Morphological characters are important to observe because they affect the production and quality of maize yields. The study aimed to obtain the best candidate for MS-UNSIKA sweet corn hybrid based on morphological characters and yields. This research was conducted at Ambu Pusakamulya Gardens, Purwakarta Regency from July to September 2021. This research method was a single factor randomized block design (RBD). The treatment consisted of 33 UNSIKA sweet corn hybrid candidates with 3 comparisons of commercial hybrid Bonanza F1, Talenta F1, and Exotic F1 repeated 3 times. If the results are significantly different, then they are analyzed using the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) further test at a 5% level. The results of the quantitative character research had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, the weight of cobs with and without cabbage. There was the best treatment on UNSIKA 3 genotype on plant height (229.60 cm), UNSIKA 9 genotype on many leaves (12.60 leaves), UNSIKA 2 genotype on stem diameter (36.49 mm), UNSIKA 34 genotype on cob weight ( 375.80 g) and UNSIKA 43 genotype on the weight of the cob without shells (256.00 g).

Abstract

Jagung manis merupakan tanaman pangan yang memiliki peran strategis dan bernilai ekonomis. Produksi jagung yang masih kurang disebabkan belum adanya varietas jagung yang memiliki daya hasil tinggi dan tahan terhadap hama dan penyakit. Upaya yang dilakukan dengan pemulian tanaman jagung untuk mendapatkan varietas unggul, dengan cara penyerbukan yang tepat waktu antara serbuk sari dan rambut tongkol. Penggunaan galur tanaman jagung manis MS-UNSIKA generasi 8 untuk menguji daya hasil yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan galur jagung manis MS-UNSIKA generasi 8 yang memiliki daya hasil paling tinggi. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan percobaan Desa Kalihurip, Kecamatan Cikampek, Kabupaten Karawang pada bulan maret sampai bulan juni 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal dengan enam perlakuan dan empat ulangan, sehingga didapatkan 24 unit percobaan, terdiri dari: MS (MS UNSIKA), SR1 (SR Latanza), SR3 (SR Sweet Boy), M6 (SR Latanza iradiasi sinar Gamma dosis 200 gy), M9 (SR Bonanza iradiasi sinar Gamma dosis 200 gy), M10 (SR Jambore iradiasi sinar Gamma dosis 200 gy). Hasil percobaan di uji menggunakan uji F, terdapat data yang signifikan dianalisis dengan uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DRMT) pada taraf 5% untuk mengetahui perlakuan mana yang paling baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun 42 HST, umur berbunga jantan dan betina, ASI (Anthesis Silking Interval), tinggi letak tongkol. Pada perlakuan M9 (SR Bonanza) memberikan hasil rata-rata umur berbunga jantan tercepat sebesar 50,29 HST dan hasil rata-rata umur berbunga betina tercepat sebesar 46,87 HST.
