Abstract

Shell and tube heat exchanger (STHX) merupakan jenis penukar kalor yang banyak digunakan di industri. Namun, peningkatan performa penukar kalor ini perlu dilakukan dengan cermat karena alirannya yang kompleks di dalam shell. Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger berfungsi untuk menukar energi dalam bentuk panas antara fluida yang berbeda Temperature yang dapat terjadi melalui kontak langsung maupun tidak langsung. Fluida yang bertukar energi dapat berupa energi yang fasenya sama (cair ke cair atau gas ke gas) atau dua fluida yang berbeda fasenya. Penelitian ini mengkaji peningkatan performa dalam bentuk koefisien perpindahan panas total dan efektivitas dengan melakukan variasi sudut baffle menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen. Penukar kalor diuji pada laju aliran massa 0,5; 1; 1,5; dan 2 kg/s dengan variasi sudut baffle 0°, 10°, dan 20°. Pada pengujian eksperimen maupun simulasi semakin kecil sudut baffle maka semakin besar nilai efektivitasnya dan semakin besar laju aliran massa maka semakin besar pula nilai koefisien perpindahan panas totalnya. Pada pengujian simulasi nilai efektivitas dengan sudut baffle 0° memiliki nilai maksimal 1,82% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 1607 W/m².K, 10° memiliki nilai 1,79% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 1581 W/m².K, dan 20° memiliki nilai 1,70% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 1460 W/m².K, nilai efektivitas pada pengujian eksperimen dengan sudut baffle 0° memiliki nilai maksimal 1,38% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 741,54 W/m².K, 10° memiliki nilai 1,29% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 740,56 W/m².K, dan 20° memiliki nilai 1,14% dengan nilai koefisien perpindahan panas total 739,21 W/m².K. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun dan menghasilkan MultimediaInteraktif pembelajaran fisika yang baik topik Gerak Melingkar Beraturan untuk Sekolah Mengah Atas(SMA). Multimedia ini dirancang dengan menerapkan kaedah penelitian Pengembangan (Researchand Development, R&D) menggunakan teknik perancangan ADDIE ID Model, Pembangunan denganmenggunakan Macromedia Flash dengan materi fisika Gerak Melingkar Beraturan meliputi aspekperancangan, aspek pedagogik, aspek isi, dan aspek pemrograman. Validasi meliputi expert jugmentdan validitas empirik serta realibitas dengan expert pengguna yaitu guru-guru fisika SMA yang seniordan ujicoba terbatas terhadap siswa Sekolah Mengah Atas. Hasil analisis deskriftip menunjukkan bahwamedia interaktif adalah valid dengan skor expert jugment 3,8 skala likert atau r = 0,76. Sementara hasilAnalisis empirik menunjukkan media interaktif adalah valid dengan r =0,89 dan reliabel dengan alfacronbach (á = 0,87) Dari hasil analisis penelitian, diperoleh animasi gerak melingkar beraturan sebagaimedia pembelajaran fisika siswa SMA yang valid dan reliabel.

Abstract

Abstract: Learning outcomes are results that must be achieved after the learning process takes place. One aspect of learning outcomes is cognitive learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz media on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The type of research used is experimental research with a quasi-experimental design "Nonequivalent control group design" with a "posttest only control group design" model. The population of this study were all students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang for the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of 59 students consisting of class X IPA 1 as a control class with 31 students and class X IPA 2 as a experimental class with 28 students. The data collection instrument was in the form of a cognitive learning outcome test for Newton's law class X which consisted of 10 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis through student absorption and inferential analysis through normality test, homogeneity test and Mann Whitney test with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the absorption of students in the experimental class was better than the control class and there were significant differences in the results students cognitive learning between the experimental class that applies the STAD type cooperative model assisted by the quizizz media and the control class that applies the conventional learning model.Keywords: Student Learning Outcome, cognitif Student Learning Outcome, Cooperative Learning, STAD, Quizizz, Newton Law’s

Abstract

Abstract: The education system oriented to the 2013 Curriculum places more emphasis on student activity (student center) which is oriented towards attitudes and skills. In addition, student activity is still low, the delivery of material in one direction results in the lack of training in students' science process skills, and there are some learning materials that are abstract in nature, which are difficult to understand, resulting in difficulties in understanding physics learning. So that research is carried out on the development of scientific approach-oriented learning tools on the material of the XII SMA class Magnetic Field. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D model which is carried out only up to the development stage. The types of data to be obtained in this study are quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data is in the form of validity values from learning tools, and qualitative data is obtained from criticism and suggestions from validators. The data collection instrument used is in the form of a learning device validation sheet. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the validity of the learning device. The results showed that the validity of the learning device as a whole obtained a valid category, so that it was declared worthy of use in learning. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to produce a valid and practical light refraction device so that it is feasible to be used as a learning media for junior high school science. This research method is Research and Development (R & D) with the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implication-Evaluation) development model. The object of this research is a trial device consisting of a light refraction experiment tool and student worksheets. The research data was obtained from the results of validation by 3 lecturers of physics education study programs, 2 junior high school science teachers as validators and 10 student. Validation is carried out through two stages, stage I of the validation is improvement and stage 2 of the validation is subsequent assessment after the device is declared valid, the device is tested on a limited basis to see the practicality of the device. Data were analyzed descriptively to determine the value of the practical validity of the experimental device. The results of data analysis obtained : the validation of the experiment tool 3.74 with very valid validity level and the assessment of the experiment student worksheet 3.82 with a very valid validity level, the practical assessment of the 3.56 experiment tool with the very practical category and the assessment of the worksheet experimental students 3.61 in a very practical category. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the light refraction experiment device developed can be declared valid and practical so that it is feasible to be used as a learning medium for Junior High School science.Keyword: Development, Trial Device, Light Refraction.

Abstract

The intensive development of maize in Indonesia has resulted in the emergence of various problems, both a decrease in productivity and yield quality. One way to get high quality maize seeds and superior varieties is by selecting the cultivation of several strains resulting from gamma irradiation which is the most widely used mutagen in producing mutant varieties.This research was carried out from August, September and October 2020 in the experimental garden of the Center for Forecasting Plant Pest Organisms (BBPOPT). The research method used a randomized block design (RAK) with a single factor repeated 9 times. The treatments used 10 sweet corn mutants consisting of treatments G1M1, G2M1, G3M2, G4M1, G5M3, G6M1, G7M3, G8M2, G9M1, G10M0. The data obtained were analyzed using variance and if the results were significantly different, it was continued with the DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) test at the 5% level.The results showed that there was a significant effect on the resistance level of the sweet corn mutant (Zea mays l. saccharata) against downy mildew and leaf spot in the m3 generation. In addition, there is a sweet corn mutant genotype that has the highest resistance level, namely leaf spot disease in G1M1 treatment of 5.33%, significantly different from G6M1 treatment of 17.30% but not significantly different from other treatments. While downy mildew in G1M1 treatment was 3.75% significantly different from G10M0 treatment by 21.75% but not significantly different from other treatments

Abstract

Emasculation is removing male sex (stament) from the female parental to avoid self pollinated. The purpose of this research to determine the effect of differences time emasculation to success crosses of black rice x white rice and agronomic character of the crosses parental.This research was conducted at IP2TP Muara, Bogor. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with combination factors, the emasculation time factor consist of 2 levels and crosses factor consist of 8 levels, and Randomized Block Design (RBD) with single factor, parental varieties factor (T) consist of 6 levels, repeated 3 time, there are 48 and 18 experimental units with single cross method. Analysis data result used ANOVA test and further testing with DMRT 5% levels. The result of research showed that the diffences time emasculation which combinated with crossing set had significant effect to crosses success percentage. Differences parental varieties of crosses had a significant effect to plant height, flowering age, physiological mature age, fill grain, empty grain, and 1000 grain weight, but not significant to numbers of tillers. The best result is e₁s₅ treatment (Setail/Sintanur emasculation time 08:00-10:00 am).

Abstract

Pengembangan jagung dibawah tegakan sengon pada sistem agroforestri merupakan alternatif dalam mengatasi berkurangnya lahan jagung karena beralih fungsi menjadi daerah industri dan pemukiman. Akan tetapi masalah yang timbul adalah berkurangnya intensitas cahaya karena naungan sengon, sehingga diperlukan jagung toleran terhadap intensitas cahaya rendah. beberapa indeks toleransi yang dihitung dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari rata-rata hasil (MP), rata-rata hasil geometrik (GMP), indeks toleransi terhadap cekaman (STI), indeks stabilitas terhadap cekaman (SSI), toleransi terhadap cekaman (TOL), indeks hasil (YI) dan indeks stabilitas hasil (YSI), serta untuk memahami hubungan antara indeks toleransi pada masing-masing genotip dilakukan analisis komponen utama (PCA) dan analisis klaster (AHC). Indeks toleransi dihitung berdasarkan potensi hasil pada kondisi tanpa bercekaman (Yp) dan hasil pada kondisi cekaman naungan (Ys).  Hasilnya menunjukan Yp dan Ys berkorelasi signifikan dan positif dengan MP, GMP dan STI. Oleh karena itu ketiga indeks tersebut dianggap sebgai indeks toleransi terbaik untuk mengukur tingkat toleransi genotip jagung terhadap naungan dibanding TOL, SSI dan YSI. Analisis komponen utama mengklasifikasikan genotip menjadi 2 komponen utama. Kedua PC tersebut memiliki eigen value >1 dan berkontribusi terhadap variabilitas antar genotip sebesar 98.50%. PC1 berkontribusi sebesar  69.42 dari Yp dan indeks TOL, MP, GMP, SSI, dan STI. PC2 memberikan kontribusi terhadap keragaman sebesar 29.08% dari Ys dan indeks YI. Analisis klaster berdasarkan indeks toleransi membagi genotip menjadi empat kelompok, menunjukan variabilitas genetik yang cukup tinggi sehingga bisa dijadikan dasar untuk pemilihan dan pengembangan genotip jagung toleran terhadap naungan sengon. Kata kunci : agroforestri, indeks toleransi, jagung.

Abstract

Shallot are one of the popular horticultural commodities that have high economic value in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know which variety of shallot that yield the best morphological characters performance in Lembang. This research was conducted at Vegetable Crops Research Institute Lembang, from September to December 2020. The research method used an experimental method single-factor experiment Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) consisting of 2 treatments that were repeated 16 times so there are 32 experimental units in total, to find out the best treatment was conducted with Fisher’s Least Significant Difference Test (Fisher’s LSD). The result of research showed that shallot varieties have a significant effect on number of leaves, leaves color, tubers color, tubers shape, dry weight of plants per plot and dry weight of tubers per plot parameter. Treatment of Katumi shallot variety gave the highest yield on parameter tuber diameter (1,88 cm), tuber length (2,42 cm), wet weight of sample plants (63,69 gram), wet weight of plants per plot (704,03 gram), dry weight of sample plants (43,87 gram), dry weight of plants per plot (458,60 gram), dry weight of tuber per sample (40,64 gram) and dry weight of tuber per plot (422,48 gram) meanwhile Violetta 3 Agrihorti shallot variety gave the highest yield on parameter plant height (48,22 cm), number of leaves (42,93 blade), number of tillers (11,40 tillers) and number of tubers (12,60 tubers).

Abstract

Morphological characterization is one of the best ways to develop maize varieties, characterization at the morphological level is needed, especially to identify the phenotype and its changes related to the ecotype. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological character and yield of several prospective sweet corn hybrids (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) and to obtain the best line. The research was conducted in the Ambu Garden, Pusakamulya Village, Wanayasa sub District, Purwakarta District, from July 2021 to September 2021. The design used was a non-factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 33 genotypes of prospective hybrids and 3 commercial comparison varieties and 3 replications. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the genotype of the prospective hybrid tested on the morphological characters of plant height, stem diameter, corn cob height, number of corn cob per plant, length of corn cob and diameter of corn cob. The hybrid candidate genotype that showed the highest response to the morphological characterization of plant height was UNSIKA09 with an average value of 176.19 cm, the number of leaves was UNSIKA09 (7.69 strands), the stem diameter character was UNSIKA09 (23.42 dm ), the character of the height of the corn cob position was UNSIKA09 (103.69 cm), while the character of the yield component of the number corn cobs per plant was UNSIKA38 (1.93 cobs), character of the length of the corn cob was UNSIKA01 (21.75 cm), and the diameter character corn cob is UNSIKA03 with an average value of 46.92 dm. There were 25 candidates for hybrid sweet corn that were not significantly different from the comparison varieties, namely UNSIKA01, UNSIKA02, UNSIKA03, UNSIKA09, UNSIKA10, UNSIKA14, UNSIKA15, UNSIKA19, UNSIKA21, UNSIKA22, UNSIKA23, UNSIKA26, UNSIKA27, UNSIKA28, UNSIKAS32, UNSIKAS29, UNSIKA33 , UNSIKA34, UNSIKA36, UNSIKA37, UNSIKA38, and UNSIKA40.
