Abstract

Gout arthritis is a disease in which joint inflammation that caused by excess uric acid in the joint. The prevalence of joint disease in Indonesia is 7.3% in 2018 and the prevalence of prevalence of joint/ rheumatic/ rheumatic disease 20.1%, the prevalence of Gout Arthritis in Central Java is 25.5%. The major problem in gout artrhitis is pain with mild scale to unrestrained. Efforts to overcome joint pain can be done with pharmacological either non-pharmacological therapy. The non- pharmacological therapies is warm compresses and boiled bay leaves, that believes can reduce pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warm compresses and bay leaf stew on the level of gout arthritis pain scale. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest with control group. 52 respondents were selected using total sampling technique. This study uses the Mann Whitney test with α 0.05. The results of this study showed p value 0.001 (p <0.05) which means there is a difference between the level of pain scale in patients with gout arthritis before and after warm compress therapy and giving bay decoction. For people with gout arthritis pain, should uses non-pharmacological interventions such as warm compress therapy or take a bay leaf stew to reduce the scale of pain.

Abstract

Five finger therapy is a relaxation technique using the five fingers technique by relying on positive thoughts to help reduce anxiety in people with chronic hypertension. This study was to determine the level of anxiety before being given five finger therapy pain management and after being given five finger therapy pain management and the effect of giving five finger therapy management to reduce anxiety levels in patients with chronic hypertension. This research is a Quasy Experiment quasi-experimental research with One Group Design Pretest – Posttest design, quantitative research type. The sample of this research is 56 respondents with consecutive sampling technique. the results showed that the majority of respondents experienced a decrease in anxiety levels before and after being given 5-finger therapy. Statistical analysis test using T-test. From the research results obtained p value is 0.000. This value is smaller than 0.05 (p < 0.05). Based on these results, it means that there is an effect of 5 finger therapy management on reducing anxiety in patients with Chronic Hypertension Disease.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a feeling of pleasure that is felt for hospitalized patients because getting optimal servicequality. In providing nursing services, Standard Procedure Operational (SPO) is very important to help nurses achieve a quality of nursing care. In giving the drug should pay attention to the six principles of right which has become a obligation procedure before it gave the drug, that is: right patient, right drug, right dose, right way, right time and right documentation. The purpose of this research to determine the relation between the six right principles implementation of Standard Procedures Operational (SPO) to dispense the drug with the level of patient satisfaction at Cempaka Lounge Dr. H. SoewondoHospital in Kendal. The research used a descriptive correlational design with cross sectional approach. Samples were taken by using Total Sampling number of 48 patients. Research tools using questionnaires then the data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate statistical test obtained chi square p value of 0.000 (p value<0.05). the SPO dispensing has good value amounted to 47.9%, which has a sufficient level of SPO Dispensing of 45.8%, and the rate of less Dispensing SPO only 6.3%. While a right level of patient satisfaction of 52.1%, which have high levels of 41,7%, and the level patient satisfaction of less only 6,3%. Recommendations result of this research is that nurses always apply SPO properly to improve patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Someone who has reached the age of 60 years and over often appears various disorders, one of the disorders experienced by the elderly is joint pain or bone disease known as Rheumatoid arthritis. Joint pain caused by inflammation of the joints that are swollen or damaged has occurred, causing pain and making people with Rheumatoid Arthritis afraid to move so that it interferes with their activities. Barriers to pain comfort in the elderly with Rheumatoid Arthritis are characterized by sleep quality characteristics. This study aims the Characteristics Pain comfortf Barriers of sleep quality in the Elderly with Rheumatoid Arthritis in Gebanganom Village, Kendal Regency. The research design is a quantitative descriptive research. The study population was 49 elderly people. The research sample was 49 elderly people with total sampling technique. Data collection used a pain scale questionnaire, a PSQI (Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index) questionnaire. The results of this study showed that the pain level was mild (8.16%), the majority of respondents had moderate pain level (73.47%), and severe pain level (18.37%), the majority of respondents had good sleep quality (71.43%), and poor sleep quality (28.57%),
