Abstract

The subject matter of benzene taught in grade XII is a subject matter that is very closely related to phenomena in everyday life. Therefore, it needs a medium that is able to convey information appropriately, clearly and pleasantly so that the concept of the material is conveyed to the learner so that the learner understands the benzene material. Chemistry Mobile Learning is an android-based media that uses smart apps creator software. In this media there are several features, namely competencies, materials, evaluations, author, reference and about application that can be accessed with android. This study aims to find out the characteristics of chemistry mobile learning developed, to know the influence of chemistry mobile  learning on the activeness of learners in benzene learning, and to know the effectiveness of chemistry mobile learning media to improve students' critical thinking ability in chemistry. This type of research is research development with the model of analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE). Data is collected with response questionnaires, validation questionnaires, pretests and posttests. Data is analyzed with eligible percentages, qualified categorization, and N-gain tests. Response practitioners and students are highly qualified with 80.95% and 89.50% respectively. Effectiveness trial obtained 0.72 N-gain with high category. It can be concluded that chemistry mobile learning is effective to improve critical thinking ability in benzene material.

Abstract

This article aim to analyze of the policy form of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with local governments, followed by early childhood education programs, Primary School, Junior High School, Senior High School, Extraordinary School both public and private in the Motivating School Program whether or not it can be implemented. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used in this study is library research. In this literature study, the author collects materials related to research from books, scientific journals, literatures and other publications that are worthy of being used as sources, by describing and describing the data through several expert opinions. The result of this research is that the Driving School program has an impact as a catalyst for the quality of education in Indonesia. This is indicated by the existence of several interventions. The interventions carried out in the motivating school program start from human resources, learning with a new paradigm and data-based planning. This program is able to accelerate public/private schools to move 1-2 stages further. However, because it is still dynamic, some of the readiness in the curriculum is still not optimal. Abstract

The development of self-regulation and discipline can affect the way children learn independently. The independence of children's learning allows them to become individuals who are able to complete the independent way of the child's own personality. The purpose of this study is to see self-regulation of English subjects at the junior high school level. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of ex post facto research. which was carried out at SMPN 2 Bengkulu City with a sample of 30 students specifically for English lessons. Data collection was done by using numbers and analyzed through regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that self-regulation partially or not affect students' learning independence; discipline towards student learning independence; as well as self-regulation and discipline towards student learning independence, especially in English subjects. This paper provides teachers to be more creative and implement student-centered learning. Optimizing discipline by providing fair and collective rewards.

Abstract

Electrochemistry, which is taught in class XII, is a subject that is extremely closely related to phenomena that occur in everyday life. For that we need a media that is able to convey information accurately, clearly and pleasantly so that students are taught the content's notion so that they may comprehend the material on electrochemistry. Mobile learning developed is an Android-based learning media that uses smart apps creator software. This media is designed to accommodate students' diverse learning needs. The menu in mobile learning is videos, materials, virtual labs and podcasts so that it accommodates all learning styles. This study aims to determine the characteristics of chemistry application interactive (CARE) that was developed, to determine the effect of chemistry application interactive (CARE) to student activity, and to determine the effectiveness of chemistry application interactive (CARE) to improve students' scientific literacy in chemistry learning based on local wisdom. This is research and development that follows the development paradigm of analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment (ADDIE). Data were collected by means of response questionnaires, validation questionnaires, and scientific literacy tests. The data were analyzed with the percentage that met the requirements, qualified categorization, and the N-gain test. Practitioner and student responses were highly qualified with 80.95% and 89.02%, respectively. The effectiveness experiment got 0.62 N-gain with medium category. It can be concluded that chemistry application interactive (CARE) is effective for improving students' scientific literacy on electrochemistry material based on local wisdom.
