Abstract

Modal sosial, industrialisasi, petani padi. This paper explores the influences of industrialization on the social capital of rice farming. The study method used is a combination of a quantitative approach to understand the development of the industry and a qualitative approach to understand the existence of social capital of farmers. This study found that social capital of farmers is greater in areas with higher levels of industrialization. This indicates that there is no direct relationship between industrialization and social capital. Areas with more intensive industrialization are able to provide employment opportunities for local people, especially family members of the farmers,  thus maintaining the existence of social capital. Meanwhile, the areas with less intensive industrialization encourage local people to migrate to other regions to gain a broader employment opportunity thereby changing the local values. Keywords. Social capital, industrialization, rice farmers.

Abstract

Development-Axes (DA) theory , is a theory which is originally stated by Pottier (1963), and restated by Hilhorst (1972) as wellas stated as an alternative growth theory (Paelinck and Nijkamp, 1975, 1978; Richardson 1978, 198, 2011) in explaining theexistence of nodes or centers along development axes and the end-point cities (Richardson, 1978,1981). or prime center or growthpole (Hilhorst, 1972) connected. Some of the real evidences of the implementation are the growing of many cities along highways inAmerica, along Grote Postweg road in Indonesia, and in many other countries. So it can be said that the theory is significance asdevelopment strategy in the world, especially in making place from transport-stop node which has role as infant settlement to belarger settlement (maybe as town or city in the future) along development axes. This paper focuses on seeking theoretical explanationas new understanding about how the growth of transport-stop node (as one of the local nodes) along DA that is influenced by theflow of people goods along the axis. We found that the growth cannot be explained by resource-based growth theory alone andneither other conventional theories of city growth. In fact, not all transport-stop node along DA could have same growth whether theflow of people and goods are equal along the DA. Based on the observation and in-depth interview as well as questionnaire, wefound that the growth of transport-stop node is initiated by the existence of transport facility or service at development axes. We alsofound that the growth of transport-stop node has five stages of growth and the “attractiveness” as the significant factor to the growthof transport-stop node to be lager settlement. We argue that the implication of the explanation to the policy is useful indecentralized era in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research highlights the importance of reading as a key element in understanding scientific concepts, introduces written language symbols, and emphasizes the role of the family environment and children's play on reading development. Focus on children's early reading delays in grade 1 elementary school students in the JL area. HM. Kamil, Lorong Anggrek which aims to identify parenting patterns as a significant factor. Researchers try to overcome this problem by introducing activities to the concept of early reading, highlighting the importance of appropriate parenting patterns and creating an interesting learning atmosphere. Qualitative descriptive research methods were used to explore information regarding the influence of parental parenting on children's early reading development. The research results show the application of a primitive parenting style, which allows children to explore without certain stimuli. The implication of these findings is the need for a creative and varied approach to early reading learning, taking into account children's readiness and supporting the positive role of parents in forming children's interest in reading.

Abstract

Listening ability is receptive oral language ability, a simple morphological and syntactic ability where individuals can retell fairy tales or stories they have just listened to. Digital storytelling is telling stories or narratives using digital technology, such as video, animation, interactive applications, or social media. In digital storytelling, stories can be enriched with multimedia elements such as images, sound, music, and special effects that are impossible in traditional storytelling. The field facts found by researchers are that the listening skills of children aged 4-6 years still appear to be quite low based on the results of initial observations. This research aims to identify the listening abilities of young children through the use of digital storytelling videos. In the current digital era, traditional learning methods are starting to shift towards being more interactive and interesting for children. This study involved 3 children aged 4-6 years from various educational backgrounds in Kindergarten at Labora Islam Mulia Kindergarten. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected through direct observation. Direct observation involves observing children as they listen to storytelling videos presented in class. How children respond to stories verbally (e.g., asking questions or making comments) and non-verbally (e.g., facial expressions, gestures). Conduct interviews with educators regarding teachers' views about the effectiveness of using video storytelling in improving children's listening skills, observing teachers about how children's listening skills are, and including the challenges they face and the strategies children use to understand stories. The research results showed a significant increase in children's listening abilities after using digital storytelling videos. Children are better able to understand stories, identify characters, and remember storylines better. In addition, children showed higher enthusiasm in the learning process and had better attention during storytelling sessions. This research concludes that digital storytelling videos are an effective tool for improving the listening skills of young children, and recommends their use in early childhood education curricula to support the optimal development of listening skills.
