Abstract

The medical recorders at the registration site have an important role because the initial documentation of the patient begins in the registration process. In general, the registration place can be divided into outpatient, inpatient, and emergency patient registration places. Several studies have shown the obstacles experienced by the medical recorders in the registration section, including queues, the medical record documents were not found, and the patient did not carry an identity card for treatment. From these problems, the purpose of this study is to analyze the need for medical recorders in the registration section based on the workload in the literature review. The design of this research is a literature review. The article in this study uses a time span of the last 5 years (2014 - 2019) and focuses on the area of research conducted in the hospital. Furthermore, from the screening results according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of research articles, 6 research articles were obtained. The results of the review of the article show that the average available work time is 2,156 hours/year, the average standard time workload is 215,595 minutes/year, the average allowance standard is 0.15, and the need for available medical recorders that has been met is 34%. From the results of the research, there were still those that did not meet the need for medical recorders because they did work outside their basic duties. In addition, the process of searching for medical records that hampers services raised queuing problems.

Abstract

A systematic review is a research method that summarizes primary research results to present facts that are more comprehensive and balanced. A balanced scorecard is a concept for measuring the performance of an organization with 4 (four) different perspectives, namely customer perspective, financial perspective, internal business perspective, and learning and growth perspective. The results of the initial article screening using the database literature on google scholar obtained 513 journals, science direct obtained 7 journals and GARUDA obtained 20 journals with the keywords "Balanced Scorecard AND Performance Measurement, OR Balanced Scorecard And Hospital Performance", there are 20 journal articles that discuss the application balanced scorecard as performance measurement in the hospital. Assessment of the quality of literature in this study is by using the SRQR and STROBE instruments. Samples obtained from 20 journal articles are 12 with the results of the research that the financial perspective performance calculation is in the "good" category with a percentage of 68.62%, on the customer perspective performance is in the "good" category with a percentage of 78.78%, the performance of the internal business process perspective is in the "good" category with a percentage of 71.66% and the performance of the learning and growth perspective is in the "good" category with a percentage of 62.5%. From the indicators measured in 4 (four) perspectives on the balanced scorecard, it is obtained that the indicators measured are not uniform or some indicators are not measured in other perspectives.Keywords:Balanced scorecard; Performance measurement; Systematic review;

Abstract

AbstrakPerubahan metode pembelajaran di masa pandemi COVID-19 dengan pebelajaran online menimbulkan kendala bagi mahasiswa karena terbiasa menggunakan metode tatap muka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis perbedaan perbedaan antara usia, jenis kelas, dan keikutsertaan dalam pelatihan e-learning terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Desain dalam penelitian ini merupakan potong lintang. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen Informasi Kesehatan, Universitas Esa Unggul. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposif dengan kriteria eksklusi mahasiswa yang mengambil Kartu Rencana Studi (KRS) mata kuliah Magang maupun Skripsi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan analitik. Analisis dekriptif digunakan untuk melihat distribusi karakteristik dari responden, sedangkan uji Mann-Whitney untuk menganalisis perbedaan antara usia, jenis kelas, dan keikutsertaan dalam pelatihan e-learning terhadap kesiapan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Terdapat perbedaan antara jenis kelas dan keikutsertaan pelatihan e-learning dengan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19 (p-value 0.05). Sedangkan tidak terdapat perbedaan antara usia dengan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran online pada masa pandemi COVID-19 (p-value 0.05). AbstractChanges in learning methods during the COVID-19 pandemic with online learning made barries for students because they got used to using face-to-face methods. The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences between age, type of class, and participation in e-learning training towards student readiness in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The design in this study was cross sectional. The population in this study were students of the Health Information Management Department, Universitas Esa Unggul. The sampling technique was purposive and the sample in this study were 100 students. Data analysis was performed descriptively and analytically. Descriptive analysis was used to look at the distribution of characteristics of respondents, while the Mann-Whitney test to analyze the differences between age, class type, and participation in e-learning training towards student readiness in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. There was a difference between the type of class and e-learning training participation and students readiness in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic (p-value 0.05). While there was no difference between age and student readiness in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic (p-value 0.05).

Abstract

Health information management professionals (HIM professionals) are one of the essential health workers during the Covid-19 pandemic in managing patient data in hospitals. Changes in both policies and work systems were felt by HIM professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of these changes influences the job performance of HIM professionals. This study aimed to assess the association between readiness to change and job performance among HIM professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic in RSAB Harapan Kita, Indonesia. The indicators of job performance are quality, timeliness, need for supervision, responsibility, cost-effectiveness, quantity, interpersonal impact, and empathy. The readiness to change in this study seen from self-efficacy, appropriateness, management support, and personal benefits. This study applied a mixed-methods design to assess the association between readiness to change and job performance in which respondents fill out a questionnaire independently via Google Form. Furthermore, a focus group discussion was conducted to probe deeper into what changes occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic and how these changes related to the job performance of HIM professionals. The questionnaire used in previous research has been validated. The samples used were all 27 HIM professionals and 11 of them agreed to continue the focus group discussion. Statistical analysis used the chi-square test on SPSS version 26 to assess the association between variables. The results show that readiness to change indicated significant association with job performance (p=0.001). Informants stated that changes that occurred during the Covid-19 pandemic included the use of personal protective equipment, spraying disinfectants on medical forms and workspaces, and adding Covid-19 reporting both internally and externally.

Abstract

Kinerja suatu organisasi bergantung pada kinerja dari sumber daya manusianya. Karakteristik tiap karyawan mempengaruhi kinerja yang dihasilkan, termasuk dalam pelayanan di unit rekam medis. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan karakteristik karyawan dengan kinerja di Unit Rekam Medis di RSUD Tengku Rafi’an Kabupaten Siak. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif analitik dengan desain penelitian potong lintang. Penelitian ini dilakukkan di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Tengku Rafi’an Kabupaten Siak Riau. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan di unit rekam medis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan mengambil seluruh populasi sehingga didapatkan jumlah sampel sebanyak 49 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji chi square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan mayoritas karyawan memiliki kinerja kurang. Analisis bivariat menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara usia dengan kinerja karyawan di Unit Rekam Medis di RSUD Tengku Rafi’an Kabupaten Siak (p value=0,414). Terdapat hubungan antara status pegawai (p-value=0,026), tingkat pendidikan (p-value=0,007), dan pengalaman kerja (p-value=0,012) dengan kinerja sumber karyawan di Unit Rekam Medis di RSUD Tengku Rafi’an Kabupaten Siak.

Abstract

The increase of Covid-19 cases that occurred in Indonesia affected the financial system in healthcare facilities. One of the policies resulting from the increase of Covid-19 cases is that the Ministry of Health issued technical instructions for reimbursement of health service claims for hospitals that provide Covid-19 services. In the implementation of these rules, there are obstacles so that the claims submitted are delayed or not approved. The purpose of this study is to analyze Covid-19 claims approval in terms of input, process, and output components. The research method is cross-sectional with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted at Siloam Sentosa Hospital Bekasi by reviewing Covid-19 claims with data collection method was done using the document review. The instrument used is a document review sheet to identify policies and describe the approval of claims. The population in this study were all Covid-19 claims in January-February 2021. The sample was taken using a saturated sample with a total of 108 claims. The applications used for the claim process are INA-CBG and E-claims. In the implementation of claim submission, the hospital adopted the technical instruction for claim reimbursement issued by the Ministry of Health and has implemented it. The results of the study show that 63% of approved claims. The cause of the claim not being approved occurred in the process component where the difference of understanding from the coder so that it was not correct in coding, completeness of claim documents, and inconsistency in filling out medical records

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is an issue that is being faced by Indonesia and even most countries in the world. The impact due to the COVID-19 pandemic is disruption of hospital with cash flow. It was caused by the delay in hospital payment of claims which are not approved by Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS Kesehatan). Siloam Sentosa Hospital Bekasi provides services for COVID-19 patients. However, out 81 claims of COVID-19 patients in August-October 2020, there were 65 claims (80.25%) not approved by BPJS Kesehatan. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that affect the approval claims among patients with COVID-19 at Siloam Sentosa Hospital Bekasi. This type of research was descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The research population was 108 claims and the sample used the total population. A Logistic regression test was used to analyze the data. The results of the study explained the completeness of claims, the quality of the medical resume, the completeness of filling out the epidemiological investigation form, and the quality of clinical coding that affected the approval claims. The study showed 21.5% of other factors that are not examined can affect the approval claims. Socialization of policies related to payment of claims to hospitals as well as monitor and evaluate from both hospitals and BPJS Kesehatan need to be improved to prevent claims that are not approved.
