Abstract

Confusion of guests/address seekers is a problem they face because of the same 3 housing names, namely Puri Kartika Asri (in Tasikmadu; Jl. Raden Panji Suroso, Blimbing, Malang; and Arjowinangun, Kedungkandang, Malang), but different locations accompanied by 4 developer names are the same, namely Puskopad (Tasikmadu; Jl. Panglima Sudirman; Jl. Sulfat area; and Jl. Mayjen Sungkono, Singosari Malang). The purpose of installing writing is to help guests or grab/gojek drivers or address or postal/delivery service companies for letters/documents/goods/entrusted or guests to a Multipurpose Building in a residential area. The writing method includes deliberations with residents to determine the design of the letter model for the construction of the pergola (where the vines grow) in the form of a gate at the housing gate, ordering letters from stainless steel, embossed type that is rust/weather resistant and roofing bolts to tie letters on the frame, construction that is linked to the framework of the pergola, assessment of robustness and authenticity of placement, adjustment of position, and submission to the Head of RT where the address is posted. The results of the installation of writing in the form of displaying a clear address which implies that there is no more confusion for guests/address seekers to meet those they are addressed to with the conclusion that the address writing clearly acts as a housing-area identity, resulting in synergy between State Polytechnic of Malang and the community in obtaining the benefits of assistance and beauty at RT 01-03 at RW 06 Tasikmadu, Lowokwaru, Malang.

Abstract

Wild flow of water below the surface of the land toward the road and the foundation of houses, road damage due to land subsidence, damage to the houses foundations, mosquito larvae lodged due to standing water, and the emergence of foul odors as a problem faced. The purpose of service is to help the community to expedite the flow of water from the rice-fields, rain and household waste, drain the gutter as a source of disease (dengue fever) through the gutter, restore the flow of wild water into the gutter, and maintain a healthy hygiene environment. The method applied was consultation with residents to determine the construction design of the channel, dismantling the broken gutters and there was a wild flow of water to the street/house yard, casting with a high-strength concrete until strength enough, repairing the cracked gutter walls with cement paste, and submitting the results of normalization to the Chairman of the local Neighborhoods Association/RT. Normalization results in the form of clean gutters, rice-fields-rain-discharged water from houses flowing through the gutters smoothly without leaking and no puddles, there is a synergy between State Polytechnic of Malang and the community in obtaining a smooth flow of water from rice-fields/rain/discharged houses into the house sewer in RW 06 Tasikmadu-Lowokwaru-Malang which implies awareness of citizens of a clean, healthy and orderly environment. Conclusions of the results of normalization as a flow of water from various origins through a structured sewer smooth water flow, prevention of disease, and providing beauty environmental.

Abstract

The obstacle faced during the fatigue test is the waiting time which is quite long and inefficient, especially for test specimens made of ductile metal with waiting times of up to several days. The research method includes reducing the specimen radius to obtain a flexural stress approaching 400 MPa which was originally 229 MPa from a radius of 254 mm to 240 mm with the results of turning the original specimen obtained a minimum diameter of 8.6 mm is reduced to 7.3 mm at a maximum loading of 10 kg. Results of the research are brass specimens C3604BD type with a minimum diameter of 8.6 mm at a flexural stress of 298 MPa showing a fatigue life of 2455546 cycles with a test duration of 1754 minutes and a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm at a flexural stress of 299 MPa showing a fatigue life of 684311 cycles with a test duration of 489 minutes which means that with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm the fatigue life is 3.59 times shorter than a minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm. Meanwhile, for aluminium AA1101 type with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm at a flexural stress of 182 MPa, the fatigue life is 422117 cycles with a test duration of 278 minutes and with a minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm at a flexural stress of 183 MPa, the fatigue life is 389232 cycles with a test duration of 302 minutes which means that with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm the fatigue life is 1.05 times shorter than the minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm or almost the same.

Abstract

The problems faced are the lack of beauty and obstructed views at the mouth of the road where there is a narrow brick gate access and the difficulty of installing decorations during the commemoration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of community service is to improve the beauty of the environment and ease when installing decorations of August and wider entry-exit access points. The method applied is consultation with residents to determine the design of the pergola from rectangular pipe construction that can be propagated by vascular plant such as grapes/passion fruit/betel, making pergola, and demolishing gates, installing a construction frame with cast-concrete foundation legs so that they are sturdy and not corroded, assessing the robustness and beauty of the placement, and submitting it to the Head of the neighborhood Association. The results obtained are in the form of wider access roads for 2 sedans passing each other, the driver's view is not blocked, the beauty is increased, and the installation of the decoration can be easier. The installation of a pergola can have the implication of making traffic flow smoother and residents must be more careful, especially children who cross the road in front of their houses with the conclusion that pergola vascular plant can be used as a housing icon, resulting in a synergy between the State Polytechnic Malang and residents who are satisfied with the assistance and beauty of the environment in the RT 03-RW 06 Tasikmadu, Lowokwaru, Malang city.
