Abstract

In the repair of the installation of air conditioners or refegeration are oftenfound referigeran (ACR) tube that must be replaced because the old copper tubeleaked on the connection. Replacement is done because the repair of the connectionby cutting and flaring the connection usually fails in the form of a tear on the flaredpart.The cause of flaring failure in the used air conditioner tube by testing themechanical properties and the microstructure of the material and compared with themechanical properties and the microstructure of the new tube material.Knowing thecauses of the failure can be searched for the prevention and repair solutions so thatthe old tube can be used without replacement.The tensile test results showed that the average ultimate strength of the usedACR copper tube has increase in strength of 18188.65 N/mm2 comparing with theultimate strength of the new copper tube which was only 14615.15 N/mm2.The microVickers test results show the same phenomenon from the tensile test results, wherethe hardness value of used ACR tube has 42.7 HV while the new ACR tube is 37.8HV.Microstructure testing with SEM shows the changing in grain structure from alongitudinal shape with a large enough grain size and tenuous in a new tube, to moreflat and dense longitudinal grain structure for used tube.

Abstract

The welding is the process of connecting two metals, where factors that influence are current, voltage, plate thickness, gap shape and heating temperature of the electrode. The heating of this electrode aims to stabilize the arc arising during welding. The objective of the study was to determine the maximum hardness of low carbon steel welding with E 7018, with temperature of electrode storage at temperature 50, 75 and 100 ° C. Determine the maximum change in the hardness of the welded by using heated electrodes preheated to an initial temperature of 50, 75 and 100 ° C. Compare its hardness to the standard. The specimen-making method is based on JIS Z 3121, further data are compared against the standard. The result of maximum hardness value for slit I is 175HV and for slit V 264HV in weld area with temperature 75 ° C, hardness change of 33HV for temperature 100 °C.

Abstract

The combustion process is one of the alternative methods of processing waste are effectively used in the processing of household organic waste. In this study used a continuous combustion incinerator system, with a flow rate of garbage 10 kg / h and a water content of 15% by the air blast rate of 1,5 - 2,5 liters / sec. Heat of combustion is used to heat water in a boiler that is monitored / measured temperature and vapor pressure. This study aimed to obtain characterization Heating (temperature vs. time) and the potential energy that can be used to heat water in a kettle containing 5 liters of water with warming from the burning of household organic waste experimentally. Based on visual observation and temperature measurement, combustion of household organic waste can produce a continuous burning about 30 minutes, and the temperature between 350-400oC on the outer side walls of the boiler / closest to the combustion chamber, the water in the kettle boiling (100 ° C) after about 25 minutes, from the observed data can be calculated energy that can be utilized for heating is from about 5000 KJ of energy generated from waste incineration, 2000 to 3000 KJ can be used for heating water in a 5 liter boiler. Abstract

Zeolites including absorbent types that can absorb exhaust emissions of combustion are not stochiometri, through the activation process consists of physical and chemical processes. Zeolite powder which has been active subsequently compacted and placed in the vehicle exhaust. The purpose of the research to determine how much change the optimum emissions, minimum and average of carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) are mounted in a standard exhaust from extensive contacts zeolite catalyst 1300, 1760, 2260cm2. In addition, to determine how large the percentage change in the optimum power, minimum and average of 1486cc engine when installed catalyst with extensive contacts with the standards. How large is the current AFR optimum and minimum reduction CO, HC, and the power generated. Test method for the activation of the catalyst using the BET and testing of power, torque, emissions of CO and HC engine valve opening fully to start the engine rev up to 4000rpm stationary. Large volumes of fuel 100ml, with a range of changes in the engine rotation 500rpm for each test.The results showed a large reduction of 45.54 optimum.%, Minimum 44.00.% And the average CO at 44.97.% While the HC reduction of 31.44%, minimum, optimum average of 33.33% and 32.44% to the 3000 standard round for CO and HC 2500 for wide when contact 1760cm2. 9.31% decline optimum power, minimum of 6.83% and an average of 7.86% at 14.78 AFR and 3000rpm.Keywords: carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, power

Abstract

This paper is concern on the using of some solar batteries for storing the energy from the solar panel. The battery used is a 100 WP solar cell with the appliances. Research was carried out in an open air with real condition without treatment for two months continuously during hot dry season in Malang city, Indonesia. It is concluded that emerged energy from the solar panel was 550 WH or equal to 12 V of 45 AH. During the electric charging from solar panel to the battery, the flowing current vary between 2 A to 6 A. The battery charging only started after 7 am when the voltage was above 12 V. For the solar panel 100 WP to use battery with the storage capacity above 40 AH. Keywords: battery, solar panel, energy

Abstract

Kitchen Appliance maker Craftsmen group is a group of productive people who daily make kitchen tools such as the cormorant, pots, pans, bread oven, stove. In the course of production using very basic equipment and even many of these self-made equipment. Manually production activities and acquired skills passed down from their parents.Implementation Activities IbM with the  introduction of production techniques by means of "Heating", particularly metal goods (metal plate) needs to be done in order to more easily molded material as required, especially in the manufacture of products guttering or else that needs welding. Aluminum material more easily formed with the correct tools and patient so that the corner of the tray, resulting in better grooves and smooth and has as weet look.The need for marketing knowledge, then the seller will be more wise and prudent and painstaking in serving the prospective buyer or the buyer of goods. Besides, the placement of goods neater (Layout), as well as the need for acquisition of knowledge about the product being sold. Marketing to traditional markets by way of consignment or storage of goods.

Abstract

Activity partners in PKM activities are a group of craftsmen making kitchenware and a shop as a means of displaying the resulting product. Writing is more emphasis on store activities, especially in the arrangement or layout of merchandise. The location of partner activities is located in Kepatihan Village RW 1, RT 4 Jln. Urip Sumoharjo 26 (PB Sudirman No. 6) Tulungagung.Lack of store merchant knowledge to be able to display their goods so that the impression impressed placement of goods looks chaotic or not organized neatly and well. Understanding Important merchandise layouts get attention so that the condition and structure of the placement do not seem random and sometimes difficult to take the goods, otherwise the placement of good merchandise will make it easier to reach the goods and clean it, so as not to impress the slums. Through the arrangement or placement of regular merchandise will show a neat impression and the room looks spacious and spacious. So that in the end make comfortable both shopkeepers and consumers.Implementation of the introduction of techniques in the way of "Marketing" the practice of structuring goods, namely the first need to grouping the type of goods that have almost the same function. Abstract

PPM ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah para petani yang sebagian besar petani cengkeh dan hasil perkebunan. Perkumpulannya bernama Bina Usaha Sukses domisili di Desa Sumber Agung Gunung Sudo RT 37 RW 04 Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan Kabupaten Malang. Mitra mempunyai masalah serius pada oven pengeringnya yang boros energi, mutu pengeringan kurang baik karena tidak rata dan ada keluhan kalau menutup pintu harus dua orang. Dengan adanya masalah itu maka pendapatan petani turun karena beli gas LPG lebih banyak, harga jual produk turun karena mutu pengeringan kurang rata/baik dan butuh dua orang untuk menutup pintu serta waktu mengoven tidak bisa ditinggal karena nyala api tidak bisa diatur. Solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut adalah dengan: Memperbaiki otomatis nyala api supaya suhu pemanasan konstan sehingga waktu mengoven tidak perlu ditunggu. Mengatur nyala api dengan mendistribusikan LPG ke kompor merata sehingga pemanasan oven bisa rata. Mengganti pintu yang lama system geser dengan buka dan nutup pintu system biasa. Telah berhasil dengan oven hemat energi, dioperasikan cukup satu orang, otomatis pemanasnya bekerja dengan baik dan sudah tidak ada kebocoran energi panas. Oven telah dicoba oleh kelompok tani dengan hasil sesuai yang diharapkan

Abstract

Mitra kami adalah peternak ayam jawa atau biasa disebut masyarakat ayam pejantan atau ayam jawa. Jumlah ayam yang diternak sekitar 3000 sd 4000 ekor. Mitra mempunyai masalah serius tentang air untuk kebutuhan ayam, terutama air untuk minum dan untuk mencuci wadah air minum dan wadah makanan. Kebutuhan air untuk ayam minimum sekitar 60 cc/hari. Air di ambil dari rumah dan dibawa dengan jerigen pakai gerobak sehingga kebutuhan air tidak terpenuhi. Solusi masalah kekurangan air dari peternak ayam ini adalah dengan memasang pipa untuk menyalurkan air dari rumah terdekat ke kandang. Jarak rumah terdekat dengan kandang sekitar 200 m. Penyelesaiannya adalah menyiapkan air sesuai kebutuhan dengan cara memasang pipa air dari rumah ke kendang. Pertama menghitung kebutuhan air yang sebenarnya untuk ayam, kemudian membuat denah saluran air, mengajukan ijin pemasangan pipa, memasang saluran air dan kelengkapannya. Dengan terpenuhi kebutuhan air untuk ayam maka jumlah ayam yang mati berkurang dan peternak ayam tidak mengalami kerugian yang banyak.

Abstract

The obstacle faced during the fatigue test is the waiting time which is quite long and inefficient, especially for test specimens made of ductile metal with waiting times of up to several days. The research method includes reducing the specimen radius to obtain a flexural stress approaching 400 MPa which was originally 229 MPa from a radius of 254 mm to 240 mm with the results of turning the original specimen obtained a minimum diameter of 8.6 mm is reduced to 7.3 mm at a maximum loading of 10 kg. Results of the research are brass specimens C3604BD type with a minimum diameter of 8.6 mm at a flexural stress of 298 MPa showing a fatigue life of 2455546 cycles with a test duration of 1754 minutes and a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm at a flexural stress of 299 MPa showing a fatigue life of 684311 cycles with a test duration of 489 minutes which means that with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm the fatigue life is 3.59 times shorter than a minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm. Meanwhile, for aluminium AA1101 type with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm at a flexural stress of 182 MPa, the fatigue life is 422117 cycles with a test duration of 278 minutes and with a minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm at a flexural stress of 183 MPa, the fatigue life is 389232 cycles with a test duration of 302 minutes which means that with a minimum specimen diameter of 7.3 mm the fatigue life is 1.05 times shorter than the minimum specimen diameter of 8.6 mm or almost the same.
