Abstract

This study aimed to determine the interpersonal communication of the teachers at State Vocational School of Angkola Timur.The teachers at State Vocational School of Angkola Timur, South Tapanuli become the respondents to interviewed. Interview, observation and documentation are the tools used for this research.The results showed that good interpersonal communication can improve the productivity and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of teachers. In this case, the existence of good interpersonal communication among teachers will increase the productivity and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of teachers to their work. Teachers arouse volunteerism to help co-workers despite their work duties, maintain good relationships with fellow workers, and accept any policies and procedures established by the organization, this is proving to have an impact on their organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Teachers have extra behavior toward their organizations because teachers are dedicated to completing their tasks prematurely, reporting to superiors or co-workers first when not in work, and increasing teachers sense of responsibility to comply with school rules and regulations even in the absence of a person who are watching, care about the development and changes that occur in the organization and participate in various activities organized by the school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan se Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kombinasi (mixed research) dengan metode concurrent embedded, dengan menjadikan metode kuantitatif lebih dominan dari metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah diukur dengan 16 indikator, Hasil uji loading factor semua indikator kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah berada di atas > 0,50 sehingga semua faktor dapat diikutkan untuk mendukung variabelnya. Pupulasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Tapanuli Selatan Sebanyak 210 orang sampel di ambil secara simple random sampling sebanyak 175 orang. Skor kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah  sebesar 4,1965 dengan tingkat capaian responden (TCR) sebesar 83,93%. Tingkat capaian responden (TCR) ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah berada pada kategori baik. Sedangkan hasil observasi dan wawancara kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah sudah baik, namun ada beberapa terkendala yang dihadapi seperti sarana, prasarana, ekonomi orang tua peserta didik, lokasi sekolah yang agak jauh dari tempat tinggal siswa dan guru-guru sehingga program yang sudah direncanakan terganggu pada tahap realisasinya.
