Abstract

Halal awareness is a deep understanding possessed by Muslim consumers about halal products, in accordance with Islamic law and teachings. This understanding includes knowledge about the concept of halal, the halal production process, and how to ensure the halalness of products to be consumed. Muslim consumers tend to choose and consume halal products, considering that halal is not only about physical safety, but also the safety of belief. They prefer products that have been declared halal by an authorized institution (LPPOM MUI) because they feel safer and free from hazardous materials. Therefore, every Muslim is required to have halal awareness, because it reflects a deep understanding of the Islamic teachings that they believe in. Thus, halal awareness can be interpreted as a Muslim's understanding of the halal concept of a product in accordance with Islamic law. This study aims to examine the importance of halal awareness in improving the quality of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) services and the perception of halal certification, especially culinary MSMEs, in Pasar Senggol, Purwosari, Pasuruan Regency. The research method used is a qualitative case study with data collection techniques through surveys, interviews, and observations. The results of the study show that most culinary MSMEs understand the importance of halal certification and believe that it is a guarantee of quality and consumer trust. However, there are also some MSMEs that pay less attention to or even ignore halal certification. Culinary SMEs in Pasar Senggol Purwosari have the same thoughts about halal certification. They believe that obtaining a halal certificate is the personal responsibility of each business owner, not a shared responsibility. This means that they think that they themselves must decide whether they want to have a halal certificate or not, regardless of what other business owners do. This was revealed from interviews with several business owners.

Abstract

The town square serves vital social and economic functions, providing public space for community recreation and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study analyzes the impact of Alun-Alun Mojo Kepuh on MSME activities and income in Sedati Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency, through an Islamic economic perspective, while identifying key facilities driving this growth. Data were collected via observations, interviews, and documentation with MSME operators, visitors, and managers. Analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results demonstrate that Alun-Alun Mojo Kepuh significantly boosts MSME business activities and income by increasing visitor numbers, business capital, and overall economic dynamics. From an Islamic economic viewpoint, the town square operationalizes the principles of falah (well-being), distributive justice, and maslahah mursalah (public interest) by delivering tangible economic benefits. Key facilities influencing MSME growth include children's play areas, seating spaces, and entertainment events like night markets. These amenities enhance regional appeal, extend visitor stay duration, and stimulate consumer participation in MSME activities near the square

Abstract

The dynamics of the food and beverage industry require Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to balance compliance with religious regulations and business innovation strategies. This study aims to investigate the impact of Halal Certification and Product Innovation on Marketing Performance among MSME actors in the food and beverage sector in the Dlanggu District area. Utilizing a quantitative approach and survey methods, primary data were gathered from 99 business respondents determined through a purposive sampling technique. Hypothesis testing was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis in SPSS. The research findings partially support the view that the ownership of Halal Certification provides a significant positive contribution to boosting local marketing performance. On the other hand, the aspect of Product Innovation does not show a significant effect on marketing achievements. Even so, when tested simultaneously, the interaction between Halal Certification and Product Innovation variables proved to have a very significant influence, contributing 72.7% to variations in marketing performance. This research emphasizes that, for the characteristics of suburban consumers, the presence of innovation in new products will receive a positive response and be absorbed by the market only if it is supported by a valid guarantee of halal legality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of sharia-based village fund management on local community empowerment and to identify its contribution to improving community welfare. The study employed a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires administered to community members as respondents. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the effect of sharia-based village fund management on local community empowerment. The results show that sharia-based village fund management has a positive effect on local community empowerment. The implementation of transparency, accountability, community participation, justice, and public interest principles in village fund management encourages community involvement in development and strengthens economic empowerment and community welfare. These findings indicate that sharia-based village fund management functions not only as a mechanism for managing village finances but also as an instrument for community empowerment that can direct village development toward public interest, community self-reliance, and sustainability. The findings further indicate that integrating Islamic economic values into village fund management can broaden the benefits of village funds for local communities, particularly by increasing participation, strengthening economic capacity, and addressing social needs
