Abstract

Jambi Province is one of the regions that has Malay culture as its original culture. Thehistorical background of Jambi Province is inseparable from the influence of the oldMalay kingdom, namely the Moloyu or Malay kingdom. This historical backgroundmakes the Jambi provincial government want to maintain and make Malay culture alocal culture and become a regional identity. Therefore, the Jambi provincialgovernment in 2013 together with the Jambi Provincial DPRD signed RegionalRegulation number 7 of 2013 concerning the preservation and development of JambiMalay culture. In addition, the government's steps and good intentions to developculture also have a strong legal umbrella, namely the 1945 Constitution. This articlewill focus on analyzing the implementation of Perda number 7 of 2013, which containsthe policy of the Jambi provincial government in trying to preserve Jambi Malay texts.Based on field observations, interviews, reading archives and documents related to theimplementation of the mandate of perda number 7 of 2013, this article argues that thepolicy on preserving ancient manuscripts, which is the super important local wealthand wisdom of the Jambi people, has not been fully implemented by the related LeadingSector. So this confirms that the government and society's awareness andunderstanding of the importance of preserving the ancient Jambi Malay manuscriptsis still low. Abstract

Tanjung Lanjut Village Sekernan sub-district of Muaro Jambi region has Tangkas lake as potential of beautiful tourism. The lake has a unique attraction with the Putat tree flowering red Flanconia Valida which blooms and falls around July to August in every year. The potential of tourist attractions in this village managed by Village-Owned Enterprises but has not sustainable and has not an impact on increasing income for the local community. Based on the problems above, the solution implemented in the community service activities is the assistance of the of tourism and promotion. This empowering activity is carried out by 1). Transfer of knowledge of sustainable management (economic, social, and environmental aspects). 2) Training and capacity building assistance. Based on the results of service activities, there was an increase in knowledge, motivation, managerial ability, and technical skills in managing sustainable tourism potential, which had an impact on increasing the number of visitors. Impact the increasing of the visitors contribute new economic resources or alternatives for local people who have only relied on the plantation and agriculture sectors. Other findings indicate that the management of Tangkas Lake did not have sufficient cooperation and networking capabilities with various levels of partners. Thus further assistance is needed in enhancing collaboration and networking skills.

Abstract

Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) is a way of thinking and doing that is deeply rooted in the Islamic tradition of the Indonesian archipelago. At the Muaro Jambi Islamic Institute (INISMA), Aswaja values are one of the pillars of student character formation. This study aims to analyze (1) How the concept of Living Aswaja is understood and internalized within the Muaro Jambi Islamic Institute (INISMA) environment (2) What is the impact of the implementation of Living Aswaja on the attitude of religious tolerance of INISMA Jambi students. This type of research is qualitative with a focus on field research. (1) The concept of Living Aswaja within the Muaro Jambi Islamic Institute (INISMA) is understood as an effort to revive the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah an-Nahdliyah in the academic, social, and spiritual life of the academic community. This understanding does not only stop at the theoretical level, but also extends to daily practice, both in the teaching and learning process, social interactions, and student activities. Living Aswaja at INISMA is present as an ideological identity as well as an institutional culture that shapes the mindset and behavior of its citizens. (2) This study found that the implementation of Living Aswaja at INISMA Jambi has a significant influence on the formation of religious tolerance attitudes among students. This phenomenon indicates that the principle of tawassuth (moderation) has been brought to life in their interactions.

Abstract

This study aims to see (1) How the concept of Green Spirituality is applied in higher education at the University of Jambi (2) To what extent the impact of sustainable green campus transformation on the environment, students, and the surrounding community. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to explore in depth the concept of Green Spirituality in the context of higher education and sustainable green campus transformation at the University of Jambi. Interviews were conducted with key informants who have direct involvement in the implementation of green spirituality values in the campus environment. Participatory observation was applied to directly observe sustainability practices with data analysis techniques in this study using an interactive model. The results of the study show that (1) The concept of Green Spirituality is applied at the University of Jambi through the Unja Lestari program which emphasizes the integration of spiritual, ecological, and social care values in all campus activities. This program encourages the academic community to view the environment as a trust from God that must be maintained through environmentally friendly behavior, such as reducing plastic waste, energy conservation, and greening the campus area (2) The impact of sustainable green campus transformation on the environment in Jambi shows a positive direction that includes ecological, social, economic, and academic aspects. A sustainable green campus also strengthens students' readiness for a green economy-based workforce. The ecological competencies they acquire are crucial assets in the modern job market.
