Abstract

This research discusses the application that can help determine consumer segmentation and provide recommendations for culinary business, including its selling price. The technology used in this research is a GPS sensor, Google API and JavaScript Object Notation. An Android-based mobile application platform uses GPS sensors to determine the new business location. This research used the Promethee-II method for the recommendation process, and it was based on certain criteria, particularly the factors influencing consumers to purchase. Five criteria were applied, and eight alternatives were calculated. The application was developed with the waterfall model. Based on the results of the alpha testing and user acceptance test, it is concluded that the application which was successfully built could provide prospective business makers with information regarding recommended types of culinary businesses including their selling price, recommended business location, and information about the consumer segmentation.

Abstract

Teknologi RFId (Radio-Frequency Identification) merupakan teknologi yang diharapkan dapat menggantikan barcode optik di masa yang akan datang. Kelebihan RFId dibandingkan dengan barcode konvensional antara lain RFId dapat melakukan many-to-many communication yang dapat diartikan banyak reader dapat membaca satu tag, maupun satu reader dapat membaca banyak tag, serta menggunakan transmisi data secara wireless dibandingkan dengan barcode konvensional yang menggunakan optic. Dengan kelebihan-kelebihannya, sistem RFId menjanjikan prospek untuk berbagai kebutuhan, sa-lah satunya untuk sistem perparkiran kendaraan bermotor. Dengan adanya penggunaan RFID untuk sistem parkir, diharapkan dapat membuat sistem parkir yang ada di Unikom saat ini dapat berjalan lebih baik, aman dan nyaman

Abstract

Jaringan komputer dapat dikatakan sebagai sebuah sistem yang terdiri dari berbagai komputer beserta resource-nya yang didesain agar dapat menggunakan sumber daya yang ada, sehingga dapat mengakses informasi yang diperlukan. Informasi tersebut dapat diakses melalui komputer yang lain dengan konsep computer networking, baik itu Local Area Network, Metropolitan Area Network, Wide Area Network ataupun juga internet. Untuk mengamankan suatu koneksi pada jaringan dapat menggunakan jaringan yang bersifat virtual yang dikenal dengan istilah Virtual Private Network (VPN).Virtual Private Network (VPN) adalah sebuah teknologi komunikasi yang memungkinkan untuk dapat terkoneksi ke jaringan publik dan menggunakannya untuk bergabung dengan jaringan lokal. Dengan cara tersebut maka akan didapatkan hak dan pengaturan yang sama seperti halnya berada didalam kantor atau network itu sendiri, walaupun sebenarnya menggunakan jaringan milik publik.UNIKOM sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi yang dalam melakukan kegiatan operasionalnya terdiri dari beberapa stakeholder yang saling terhubung dalam jaringan komputer, perlu menerapkan konsep VPN untuk mengamankan informasi yang dimiliki pada suatu jaringan, ataupun untuk memudahkan dalam mengakses jaringan lokal yang ada di UNIKOM walaupun dalam mengaksesnya menggunakan jaringan yang bersifat public (internet).Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah berupa suatu rekomendasi dasar yang dapat digunakan oleh UNIKOM untuk menerapkan konsep Virtual Private Network (VPN) dalam pengembangan jaringan komputer yang dimiliki sehingga dalam pengaksesan informasi dapat berlangsung lebih aman dan efektif.

Abstract

Bakut Island is one of the conservation forest areas in South Kalimantan. This island is the habitat of proboscis monkeys, and the proboscis monkey population is increasing from year to year. Therefore, it is estimated that one day the proboscis monkey habitat on Bakut Island will be over capacity. This study aims to estimate how long the population of proboscis monkeys on Bakut Island Nature Tourism Park can survive there by examining the amount of food the island's vegetation can produce. Proboscis monkey feed itself is estimated using the Leaf Area Index (LAI). LAI was extracted using UAV imaging and NICFI multitemporal imagery. Meanwhile, the carrying capacity of the proboscis monkey habitat is assessed using the quantity of consumption of the proboscis monkey population relative to food availability. Simulations of the carrying capacity of proboscis monkey habitat into the future were carried out using projections of the future proboscis monkey population and LAI growth. The entire computational process of simulating habitat carrying capacity is carried out using the Python language. The results of the analysis show that Bakut Island is only able to support proboscis monkey habitat until 2038. In that year, the proboscis monkey population on Bakut Island is projected to number 1,290 individuals. After 2038, the predicted amount of feed needed by the proboscis monkey population will exceed the feed available on Bakut Island. The limitation of this research is that it only uses one parameter to assess the carrying capacity of proboscis monkey habitat, namely food availability. There are still other parameters that have not been accommodated, including the home range and trees for nests.

Abstract

This research aims to help people manage and organize event invitations by using digital invitations. Many digital invitation platforms still need to improve, especially in design customization and guest attendance recording. Based on interviews with 17 respondents aged 20-30, 70% have used digital invitations before. Still, they feel the existing system could be more optimal in processing attendance and customizing designs according to preferences. Meanwhile, 30% of respondents who have never used digital invitations stated that they are still more comfortable with printed invitations due to their lack of understanding of digital invitation technology and the features it offers. To overcome this problem, this research proposes the development of a digital invitation application that not only supports the creation and distribution of invitations but also features online payment through Midtrans and QR scanners to record attendance more efficiently and use the application. The test results show that 95% of respondents feel that the application speeds up the creation and distribution of invitations, 87% find it helpful with the design customization feature, 96% strongly agree that the attendance confirmation feature makes it easier to manage guests, and 97% state that the payment process through the application is easy to do.

Abstract

Both developed and developing countries face waste problems worldwide. The recycling process can not only help reduce the amount of waste but also produce new products with economic value. In order to support this effort, information and communication technology, especially Android-based applications, can be an effective solution. This application can provide education, recommendations, and a marketplace platform for recycled products, hoping to allow the public to access information and market their products more efficiently. Previous research supports the development of this application, showing great potential in helping the community manage waste effectively and economically. This study shows that Android-based waste processing and recycled product marketplace applications have great potential in helping to overcome waste problems. The test results of the application features show that all functions work well, which is my expectation. In addition, the user acceptance test shows that the majority of respondents agree that this application is effective in reducing waste accumulation (88%), facilitating the recycling process (93.36%), and providing economic value for recycled products (89.6%). This application has become a practical solution for educating the public and increasing participation in waste management while providing economic benefits through recycling.
