Abstract

Radya Pustaka Museum Complex Realignment using Contextual Architecture approach in Surakarta caused by the rapid urban development results in the decrease of  the heritage buildings image, especially in Surakarta. Radya Pustaka Museum realignment is an attempt to preserve Radya Pustaka Museum’s existence as one of the oldest museums in Indonesia which preserves Javanese cultural existence proofs in the past. The realignment of the museum complex is conducted by maintaining the shape of Radya Pustaka Museum original building as a conservation effort in which the new object design functions as a new cultural appreciation place done by restoring and developing the function of previous existing activities which were able to accommodate all the museum’s activities and needs. The method used is architecture designing plan method approached by Contextual Architecture. Contextual Architecture is applied as an execution design method with the purpose of creating contextual environment visual harmony between the new building and it previous environment. By using this approach, the form, mass order, and façade elements in the new building are designed by not only aesthetic and contrast appearance, but also contextual to the old one. The realignment is designed in line with Surakarta City Government Planning related to tourism, education, and culture development which are expected to make Radya Pustaka Museum as one of the main representation of the historical aspect of the city and to enact the tourism in the city of Surakarta, as the City of Culture. Also it is expected to improve the quality of life for people both inside and outside the scope of Radya Pustaka Museum complex on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

bstract: Planetarium in Yogyakarta is one means of recreation (scientific tourism), which aims to provide a forum for the public to know the information and knowledge about astronomy. The design of the Planetarium in Yogyakarta background with the potential for the city of Yogyakarta as education, cultural cities, and tourist destinations. Furthermore in Yogyakarta there are also a bevy of astronomy called Jogja Astro Club (JAC) to academician , the general public, students and people from all walks of astronomy enthusiasts. One of the main factors is the absence of a container that holds information about astronomy. Design problem that arises is how to apply the constituent elements of the space in the form of massive columns that connect the space inside - outside space with lighting arrangements such as the embodiment of style cubisme. Planetarium in Yogyakarta with cubisme style and the big bang theory emphasizes two things in common  namely space, time, and matter. In the Planetarium, cubisme style manifested by the presence of the shape and mass composition (time, circulation and materials), circulation (outside the circulation and circulation within the site) which is a manifestation of the set of spatial planning (materials, space and lighting).Keywords: Planetarium, Scientific Tourism, Potency and Activity Planetarium, Cubisme Style.

Abstract

Abstract: Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2008 on Disability Equality settled in Surakarta into its own impetus to pay attention to the lives of children with disabilities are no exception blind and deaf. Limitations within visual and hearing impairments make them private closed and not confident, so that the development of impaired social function.Guidance is structured and carried out gradually expected to maximize growth and development of the child to be able to live independently in the community. Methods of play therapy is used as a strategy in the guidance effort. Stages of guidance and environmental comfort to be a reference in the planning and design decisions of Blind and Deaf Rehabilitation Center for Child and Adolescent. The purpose of this design is a manifestation of development activities of the needs of blind and deaf as a disabled people. Design issues are: how to design a coaching center for the blind and deaf are concerned with the psychological comfort using Behavioral Architecture considerations as design approach. Abstract

Abstract: Tourism development Kedung Ombo is motivated by the many potential in this tourist area is less processed optimally. Additionally Sragen governmentalso plans to develop the region as an integrated tourism area in Sragen by utilizing the potential that exists in the tourist area Kedung Ombo. Existing development has only one tourist attraction to the natural conditions that are less awake. Design issue is how the area is laid out, developed to be an integrated tourism while maintaining conservation of nature. As in the process of answering these design issues, we need Architecture Ecology as a method in the design of the design. Ecological architecture applied in every aspect of design, including: aspects of activities, peruangan, footprint, building orientation, landscaping, zoning, the form and mass, structure and utility.Keyword: Development, Kedung Ombo Dam, Integrated Tourism, Ecology Architecture

Abstract

Abstract : Underground music space in Surakarta planning was motivated by an underground music communities in Surakarta but the facilities to accommodate their activities was minim, it was happen because the publics do not like them because their image of underground peoples was negative. The purpose of this design in addition to facilitating the activities of the underground music community where they actually produce a creative things also to inform to public that the image of underground music communities are not negative, so that the perpetrators of underground music is not always behave badly, then there is a psychotherapy applied in the design of the underground music space. The method used in a n underground music space was the method of architectural design as well as methods of healing through with a psychotherapy. The results obtained by the design is able to accommodate the underground music activities to producing creation and psychotherapy system was applied indirectly (non-medical) through the design of buildings and building regulations in the underground music space for make a place who will be accepted by public and will therapy users. Keywords :  Architecture, underground music, underground music activity, non-medical psychotherapy
