Abstract

Research has been carried out by testing the antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi using the diffusion method on NA medium with 3 times replication. Each concentration used was 1.25%, 2.5% and 5.0%. The results obtained show the zone of inhibition around the paper disk with different diameters for each concentration. For raw kapok banana peel with a concentration of 1.25% is 9.82 mm, 2.5% concentration is 10.54 mm and 5.0% concentration is 11.39 mm, while the positive control chloramphenicol is 14.14 mm and the control negative, no inhibition was found and for yellow kapok banana peel with a concentration of 1.25% was 6.67 mm, 2.5% concentration was 7.47 mm, 5.0% concentration was 8.58 and positive control chloramphenicol was 14, 5mm. So it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of raw kepok banana peel (Musa paradisiaca L) has a greater inhibitory power than yellow kapok banana peel (Musa paradisiaca L) against the growth of Salmonella typhi bacteria. It is hoped that further researchers will be able to conduct research on other microbes

Abstract

Cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura L.) is a plant that has many medicinal properties. One part of the plant that is widely used is the leaf which contains flavonoid compounds, saponins and tannins found in cherry leaves so that it has strong antioxidant activity which can be efficacious as skin lightening and antiseptic. This study aims to formulate liquid soap ethanol extract of cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura L.). This type of research was carried out in an experimental laboratory using the maceration method to produce a thick extract from cherry leaves. There were 3 formulas for liquid soap with different extract concentrations, namely FI (3%), FII (6%), and FIII (9%). Tests for liquid soap preparations of cherry leaves extract include organoleptic tests (shape, smell, color), homogeneity test, pH test, foam height test, and water content test. From the results of research conducted on organoleptic tests, FI(3%) has has a liquid form, brown color and a distinctive aroma. and FIII(9%) has a slightly thick liquid form, dark brown color, and a distinctive aroma. In the homogeneity test on all formulas get homogeneous results. In the pH test FI(3%) with a pH of 8, FII(6%) and FIII(9%) with a pH of 9. In the FI(3%) foam height test with a foam height of 8.5 cm, FII(6%) with a foam height 7.7 cm, FIII(9%) with foam height 7.1 cm. on the water content test FI(3%) with a water content of 56.25%, FII(6%) with a water content of 53.75%, FIII(9%) with a water content of 48.00%. So it can be concluded that the liquid soap formulations FI(3%), FII(6%), and FIII(9%) meet the requirements set by SNI in every test of liquid soap preparations. So that cherry leaf extract can be formulated into liquid soap with extract concentrations of 3%, 6% and 9%.

Abstract

Currently the use of soap as a skin cleanser is increasingly popular and the variety of types, colors, aromas, and benefits offered by commercially available soaps show their diversity. Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L) is a plant known as a plant that has a bitter taste, but is widely consumed by Indonesian people. Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L) is also known to contain flavonoid polyphenols and vitamin C, which act as natural antioxidants. Antioxidants such as tannins, saponins, steroids, and terpenoid hormones. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of making solid soap from coconut oil with the addition of bitter melon extract (Momordica charantia L) as an antioxidant using the cold process method. This type of research is experimental using a simple formula design. The research phase includes sample management, preparation of preparations, and product analysis testing. The test includes an organoleptic test where the results of the data obtained are solid soap with brown spots, distinctive aroma, smooth texture, and square shape. The pH test is alkaline, namely F1 = 10.2 F2 = 10.3 F3 = 10.4. The foam height test has a height of F1 = 4.5 mm, F2 = 7 mm, F3 = 8 mm. test water content as much as 15%. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the soap formula made meets the requirements of the SNI standard that is safe for use on human skin.

Abstract

Jeruk nipis (Citrus auratifolia) adalah tanaman yang kaya akan kandungan seperti flavanoid, tanin, akaloid, saponin, kalsium, fosfor, vitamin A, vitamin B1, dan vitamin C. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui senyawa fiokimia dari ekstrak jeruk nipis serta membuat formula dan mengevaluasi stablitas fisik dari sediaan hair tonic ekstrak jeruk nipis (Citrus aurantifolia). Formula sediaan hair tonic di buat sebanyak tiga konsentrasi ekstrak yang berbeda yaitu F1 (6,25%), F2 (8,25%) dan F3 (10,25%). Metode pengujian stabilitas fisik yang diimplementasikan yaitu: pengujian organoleptik, pengujian homogenitas, pengujian pH dan pengujian viskositas. Pengujian dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah cycling test yaitu masing-masing formula hair tonic disimpan didalam wadah inkubator pada suhu panas (400C) secara bergantian dan suhu dingin 40C (freezer) selama 24 jam sebanyak 5 siklus. Hasil pengujian fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak jeruk nipis mengandung senyawa aktif flavanoid, alkaloid, tanin dan saponin. Hasil pengujian stabilitas membuktikan seluruh sediaan hair tonic (F1,F2 dan F3) memenuhi kriteria sediaan yang baik meliputi pengujian organoleptik, pengujian homogenitas, pengujian pH dan pengujian viskositas. Pada pegujian pH dan pengujian viskositas sediaan hair tonic terjadi perubahan pH dan viskostas baik sebelum dan sesudah cycling test. Namun perubahan tersebut masih berdasar pada Standar Nasional Indonesia. Kesimpulan: Ekstrak etanol jeruk nipis (Citrus auratifolia) mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavanoid, tanin dan saponin. Ekstrak etanol jeruk nipis (Citrus auratifolia)dapat diimplementasikan dalam bentuk sediaan hair tonic

Abstract

Tumbuhan atau tanaman yang digunakan sebagai obat herbal rebung bambu kuning (Bambusa vulgaris) banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia untuk pengobatan tradisional. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian identifikasi senyawa kimia ekstrak rebung bambu kuning (Bambusa vulgaris) untuk mengetahui senyawa flavanoid yang terdapat pada sampel. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yaitu mengekstraksi senyawa menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut metanol, selanjutnya dengan pelarut eter dan pelarut etil asetat. Pemisahan komponen kimia ekstrak rebung bambu kuning (Bambusa vulgaris) dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis. Pada ekstrak metanol dengan eluen etil asetat:HCL:aquadest (4:1:5) menghasilkan 2 noda, ekstrak eter dengan eluen etil asetat:HCL:aquadest (4:1:5) menghasilkan 1 noda, dan pada ekstrak etil asetat dengan eluen etil asetat:HCL:aquadest (4:1:5) menghasilkan 1 noda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat noda pada lempeng dan senyawa flavanoid.

Abstract

Jagung merupakan salah satu tumbuhan Bacillus thuringiensis yang digunakan oleh masyarakat sebagai obat tradisional. Penelitian inibertujua nuntuk mengetahui standarisasi parameter spesifik pada Rambut Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) dan Rambut Jagung pulut (Zea mays ceratina). Pada penelitian ini ekstrak diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode maserasi. Kandungan kimia yang diperoleh Rambut Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, dan terpenoid, tetapi tidak menunjukkan hasil positif pada steroid dan saponin sedangkan pada Rambut Jagung pulut (Zea mays ceratina) kandungan yang diperoleh yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, terpenoid dan steroid, tetapi tidak menunjukkan hasil positif pada saponin. Hasil standarisasi untuk parameter spesifik menunjukkan organoleptik ekstrak (kental, warna coklat kehitaman, dan berbau khas,). Hasil kadar abu total pada Rambut Jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) yaitu 14 % sedangkan pada Rambut Jagung pulut (Zea may ceratina) yaitu 7,6 %.

Abstract

Tingkat kepuasan pasien adalah perasaan senang atau kecewa seseorang yang muncul setelah membandingkan antara kinerja (hasil) yang dipikirkan terhadap kinerja (hasil) yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini berjudul Studi Tingkat Kapuasan Pasien Terhadap Pelayanan Kefarmasian di Puskesmas Minasa Te’ne Kabupaten Pangkep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pasien terhadap pelayanan kefarmasian Di Puskesmas Minasa Te’ne Kabupaten Pangkep meliputi Ketidak puasan pasien timbul dan diukur dalam lima dimensi daya tanggap, bukti langsung, kehandalan, kepdeulian. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode deskritif yang bersifat observasional dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode accidenttal sampling dengan mengambil data pasien yang kebetulan berkunjung di Puskesmas Minasa Te’ne Kabupaten Pangkep dengan jumlah responden 70 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa presentase menunjukkan 61,30% kurang puas terhadap pelayanan kefarmasian di Puskesmas Minsa Te’ne Kabupten Pangkep dan berdasarkan indeks kepuasan pellangan atau pengguna jasa kesehatan sebesar 0,81 – 1,00 dengan interprestasi Sangat memuaskan hal ini menunjukkan kepuasan konsumen selaku penguna jasa di Puskesmas Kabupaten Pangkep kurang puas terhadap pelayana yang diberikan dan tidak ada hubungan dari kelima dimensi kepuasan servequle . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan kesehatan Di Puksemas Minasa Te’ne masih belum memuaskan dikarenakan sarana dan prasana yang kurang mendukung sebab kenyamanan pasien didukung dari segi fasilitas kelengkapan obat-obatan serta kurangnya tenaga medis yang berkompoten di bidang pelayanan kefarmasian.

Abstract

Understanding patient needs and desires is something that influences satisfaction. To create patient satisfaction, the Community Health Center must create and manage a system to obtain more patients and the ability to retain patients. Drug Information Services (PIO) is an obligation that must be provided by pharmaceutical personnel related to the use of medicines handed over to patients and the use of medicines appropriately, safely and rationally at the request of the public. The aim of this research is to determine the level of patient satisfaction with drug information services at the Tamalanrea Jaya Health Center, Makassar City. The type of research used is non-experimental research with a descriptive research design using quantitative analysis, namely using in-depth data analysis using a questionnaire as an instrument. research. The sample from this research was calculated using the Slovin formula which resulted in 74 samples. Based on the analysis of data obtained from research conducted on 74 respondents, the conclusion was that the level of satisfaction in the dimension of physical evidence (tangibles) was dominated by those who were satisfied, namely 73, 0%, the reliability dimension is dominated by those who are satisfied, namely around 71.6%, the responsiveness dimension is dominated by those who are satisfied, namely 73.0%, the assurance dimension is dominated by those who are satisfied, namely 67, 6%, while the empathy dimension is dominated by those who are satisfied, namely 60.8%.

Abstract

Traditional medicine is a type of medicine that is made entirely from plants and is used for therapy. Traditional medicine is also passed down from generation to generation in an effort to preserve the culture that must be preserved. Starfruit is a species in the starfruit family (Averrhoa). Wuluh starfruit leaves are also a traditional medicine used to prevent hypertension. Hypertension is a health problem that is quite dangerous throughout the world because hypertension is the main risk factor that leads to cardiovascular disease such as heart attack, heart failure, stroke and kidney disease, of which in 2016 ischemic heart disease and stroke became the two main causes of death in world. This research aims to determine the knowledge of the Dongkala community regarding starfruit leaves as a prevention of hypertension. The type of research carried out was descriptive research carried out in May and June by distributing questionnaires to people who live in Dongkala Village, Pasarwajo District with a population of 2,439 people with a sample of 96 people using a questionnaire. The results obtained from this research are the evel of knowledge for those aged 40-44 years with a percentage of (25%), the level of knowledge based on gender, namely women with a percentage of (62.5%), the level of knowledge based on education, namely SMA/SMK-S1 level with percentage (50%), and the highest level of knowledge for the Dongkala Village community is with a percentage (61.5%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas penyembuhan luka bakar dari sediaan salep yang diformulasi menggunakan bahan aktif dari ekstrak daun ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L.). Penelitian  diawali dengan melakukan maserasi sampel menggunakan etanol 96%. Ekstrak kental kemudian diuji fitokimia dan diformulasi menjadi sediaan salep lalu diuji aktivitasnya untuk luka bakar pada kelinci jantan. Diameter luka pada hewan coba dibuat sebesar 2 cm menggunakan pelat besi panas selama 5 detik. Perlakuan pada hewan coba dikelompokkan menjadi 5 yakni kontrol positif (bioplasenton), Formula salep yang terdiri atas 3 dengan konsentrasi ekstrak F1( 25%), F2(35%)  F3 (45%) dan kontrol negatif (basis salep). Pengolesan sediaan tiap kelompok dilakukan sekali sehari pada daerah luka bakar selama 14 hari kemudian diamati ukuran luka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun ubi jalar ungu positif mengandung saponin, polifenol dan flavonoid. Hasil uji aktivitas menunjukkan persentase penyembuhan luka setelah hari ke-14 antara kontrol positif; F1, F2, F3 dan kontrol negatif berturut-turut adalah 95,83%; 40,83%; 55,83%; 72,50% dan 31,67%. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan F3 memiliki aktivitas yang paling baik karena aktivitasnya hampir menyamai kontrol positif yang merupakan salep pembanding di pasaran. This study aims to investigate the burn wound healing activity test of an oinment formulated using the active ingredient from purple potato leaves extract (Ipomoea batatas L.). This type of research is experimental with a posttest only control group design method. The research began with sample extraction using the maceration method with 96% ethanol. The extract was then tested for phytochemistry and formulated into an ointment preparation with 3 variations in extract concentration, namely F1 (25%), F2 F2 (35%) and F3 (45%). Test activity of the preparation was measured based on the percentage of healing of burn wounds on the backs of experimental animals, where the initial wound was considered to be 2 cm according to the diameter of the iron plate. Treatments on experimental animals were grouped into 5, namely positive control (KP), namely bioplacenton, ointment formulas F1, F2 and F3, and negative control (KN), namely ointment base. The preparations for each group were applied twice a day to the burn area for 14 days and then the diameter of the wound was observed. The results showed that the ethanol extract of purple sweet potato leaves positively contained saponins, polyphenols and flavonoids. The activity test results showed the percentage of wound healing after the 14th day between KP; F1, F2, F3 and KN respectively are 95.83%; 40.83%; 55.83%; 72.50% and 31.67%. So, it can be concluded that F3 has the best activity because its activity is almost the same as KP, which is a burn ointment on the market.
