Abstract

Produktivitas jagung sangat dipengaruhi oleh bahan tanam dan lingkungan tumbuh tanaman. Salah satu faktor yang menentukan optimalisasi iklim mikro untuk mendukung tumbuh kembang tanaman jagung yaitu jarak tanam. Variasi jarak tanam akan berimplikasi terhadap produktivitas dan menentukan tingkat serangan OPT tanaman jagung hibrida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jarak tanam terhadap produktivitas tanaman dan intensitas serangan penyakit serta rebah. Design Penelitian menggunakan RAK faktorial dengan Varietas sebagai faktor pertama, dan Jarak tanam sebagai faktor kedua. Varietas terdiri atas   2 taraf yaitu V1 (DK771) dan V2 (DK95), sedangkan Jarak Tanam terdiri atas 5 taraf yaitu J1 (54x20cm), J2 (58x20cm), J3 (64x20cm), J4 (70x20cm), dan J5 (78x20cm). Perlakuan diulang tiga kali dan dilakukan di lima titik kecamatan di Kabupaten Jember dari Januari-Juni 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam (populasi) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap hasil panen untuk semua varietas yang diujikan (DK771 dan DK95), tetapi interaksi antara varietas dengan populasi tidak signifikan terhadap hasil panen. DK771 dan DK95 mencapai potensi hasil tertinggi pada populasi 78.125 - 92.593 di area tadah hujan  dan menurun seiring penurunan populasi. Populasi tanaman tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap rebah batang maupun rebah akar, begitu juga dengan busuk pelepah dan busuk tongkol tidak secara nyata dipengaruhi oleh populasi tanaman. Adanya perbedaan intensitas serangan penyakit nyata diantara varietas terkait ketahanan genetic masing-masing hibrida.

Abstract

The Stimulus Community Partnership Program (SCPP) activities aims to support oyster mushroom farmers in Jember by improving skills and knowledge for diversifying oyster mushroom processing, building networks and markets, stimulating capital, and improving business managerial which are the main problems of partners in developing their businesses and economies. The SCPP activity method uses capacity building with a community driven development approach which is based on activities that are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor in the context of added value products and oyster mushroom business management including marketing to increase income and partner economy. The results of SCPP are in the form of improving partners' skills in processing oyster mushrooms into 5 prospective products that are needed by the market. In addition, increasing skills in business management starting from planning, organizing partne r members, evaluating product quality, simple bookkeeping, opening online/offline market access as well as strengthening capital in the procurement of production infrastructure are the next outputs of the service activities carried out. This program has been able to solve partner problems in improving the skills of diversifying oyster mushroom processing into processed products that have high prospects in the market. Improved business management and access to new markets, especially online, as well as injections of capital into fresh energy for partners and members to develop their businesses and economies.

Abstract

A crucial problem faced by the target village community is the inhibition of changing the paradigm of the farmer community on the process of changing the mindset and action patterns in organic and conventional cultivation systems. In fact, the potential for the application of organic farming in the village is wide open, because the market for organic fertilizers and biological pesticides has started to run. The objective of the IbDM program is to optimize the supply of organic-based agricultural products towards healthy living. The implementation method used to find solutions to problems is in the form of social engineering and technological engineering approaches through socialization and training. The approach taken to the engineering process is in the form of a participatory approach, empowerment, and inter-entrepreneurial development in an effort to strengthen the capacity of community human resources by involving stakeholders through the village system model. The results of program implementation are as follows: 1) Socialization of the IbDM program with the results of partners understanding intellectually about the concept of this activity and are ready to participate in building an organic village; 2) The organic village cycle has been implemented properly with the formation of the Organic Farming Institute (OFI)) Al-Istiqomah; 3) Soil sample analysis has been carried out with 10 types of complete analysis and a 3 hectare demonstration plot mapping has been carried out; 4) A comparative study has been carried out to Gapoktan Al-Barokah Bondowoso; 5) Training has been carried out on the manufacture of organic materials; and 6) The results of the participatory review showed the achievement of success indicators of 65% and OFI performance of 30.23% or semi empowered and ready to go organic.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya peningkatan  produktivitas  tanaman jagung yang  ramah  lingkungan  yaitu dengan  manajemen nutrisi melalui unsure beneficial seperti  Silikon (Si). Unsur hara ini  mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil panen, menekan stress biotik dan abiotik. Peran silicon terhadap tanaman tersebut  sebanding dengan  tingkat  kandungan unsur tersebut di jaringan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui factor lingkungan media tumbuh yang berpengaruh terhadap terhadap tingkat serapan Si dan implikasinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan ketahanan alami tanaman. Metode yang akan dilaksanakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan lingkungan RAL faktorial dengan 3 ulangan dan dianailisis menggunakan Analysis of Variance (Anova) yang dilanjutkan dengan Uji duncant (DMRT) apabila terdapat beda nyata. Output dari penelitian yaitu informasi factor dominan media tanam yang mempengaruhi ketersediaan dan tingkat serapan Si tanaman jagung yang berimplikasi pada pertumbuhan dan  ketahanan alami jagung. Hasil penelitian bahwa Kandungan Si di jaringan daun meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan dosis pupuk Si pada media yang cukup BO, Kahat P, dan Kelebihan N yang menyebabkan penurunan N di jaringan tanaman pada media tinggi N dan peningkatan P pada media yang kahat P, peningkatan kandungan Si dijaringan daun cenderung meningkatkan ketahanan alami tanaman terhadap hama dan penyakit.

Abstract

Desa Munder merupakan salah satu bagian dari Kecamatan Yosowilangun, mayoritas masyarakat bekerja pada bidang pertanian, salah satunya sebagai petani buah. Lalat buah (Bactricera sp) merupakan salah satu jenis hama penting yang berasosiasi pada buah-buahan dan menyerang langsung pada bagian tanaman yang akan dipanen. Serangan lalat buah dimulai pada saat tanaman memasuki fase awal pembuahan hingga masa panen, dengan gejala adanya bekas tusukan hingg buah busuk dan gugur. Kegiatan ini dilakukan mahasiswa kkn universitas muhammadiyah jember untuk memberikan pemahaman terhadap penerus petani Desa Munder Kecamatan Yosowilangun Kabupaten Lumajang.

Abstract

Partners often try to start building productive business, but empowerment still weak due to limited knowledge, skills, health insurance capital, technology and markets. The purpose of this program is to create a new young entrepreneurs reliable, independent and competitive among the youth unemployment. The method that used to solve the problems of these partners through the facilitation of productive economic activity based micro-scale engineering model of coaching in the form of technological and social skills through training with a participatory approach, stimulus funding and mentoring (supervision, monitoring and evaluation). Result of the evaluation of the program show that the impact of the program on the social aspects of both partners is the entrepreneurial spirit is getting stronger which can be measured in absolute numbers with Likert scale indicates the value of a score of 3.5. so it can be concluded that both partners have an entrepreneurial spirit by 75%. The impact of technological engineering shows that partners have been able to increase the procurement of oyster mushroom baglog even by purchasing, increasing turnover and expanding their marketing reach and have even diversified their business in the form of selling oyster mushroom satay. As for the impact of other social engineering is both partners have started to master the techniques of business management reasonably well and being able to access market information, read the market opportunities, technology innovations through the internet facility and has begun marketing management including control of simple bookkeeping

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the effect of silicon (Si) application on soil microbial populations, particularly bacteria, nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) uptake under various growing media conditions, and its implications for corn (Zea mays L.) growth. The experiment used a completely randomized factorial design with two factors: Si concentration (0, 5, 10, and 15% SiO₂) and type of soil condition (standard soil, high-N soil, P-deficient soil, and high-organic-matter soil). The results showed that Si fertilizer application increased bacterial populations by 18.87% in the control medium, 134.6% in high-N soil, 134.7% in P-deficient soil, and 20% in high-organic matter soil, while the application of 15% Si in P-deficient soil increased P uptake by 53.7% compared to without Si, and in high-N soil, the application of 15% Si reduced tissue N content but increased its utilization efficiency. The increase in P uptake occurred through ionic competition between SiO₄⁴⁻ and PO₄³⁻ at the uptake site, while the decrease in tissue N content indicated Si's role in optimizing N utilization. Leaf Si content was relatively higher in all treated media compared to the control, followed by a tendency toward increased plant dry weight and stomatal number. These results indicate that Si application under nutrient stress conditions can balance N and P availability and improve physiological parameters supporting growth.
