Abstract

Islamic boarding school is an Islamic institution that has a noble purpose, in which there are elements of the cottage, one of which is called santri. To become students who are useful and can play an active role in society, character education is needed when living life in Islamic boarding schools, In Islamic boarding schools, a leader figure is needed who can provide examples and role models for students. KH. Mukhlisin Sa'ad. is a figure who is compassionate and patient in educating the character of students, so that many of the students or alumni greatly admire him. The method used in this study is a qualitative method in which the source of the results is obtained from the results of interviews with predetermined sources. The results of the study prove that the leadership role of the kyai is very urgent for the life of the Islamic boarding school community, especially the students at the AlI islamic Boarding School Mashduqiah. Keywords:Leadership of Kyai, Character of Santri.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren merupakan lembaga Islam yang memiliki tujuan yang mulia, yang mana di dalamnya ada unsur-unsur pondok salah satunya disebut santri untuk menjadi santri yang berguna dan bisa berperan aktif di masyarakat, maka dibutuhkan pendidikan karakter saat menjalani kehidupan di Pondok Pesantren, di dalam Pondok Pesantren dibutuhkan figure pemimpin yang bisa memberikan contoh dan suri tauladan terhadap santri,. KH. Mukhlisin Sa’ad adalah figur yang penyayang dan penyabar dalam mendidik karakter santri, sehingga banyak dari santri ataupun alumni yang sangat mengangumi beliau. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode kualitatif yang mana sumber hasil didapat dari hasil wawancara ke narasumber yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwasanya peran kepemimpinan Kyai begitu sangat urgen bagi kehidupan masyarakat Pondok Pesantren khususnya para santri di Pondok Pesantren Al-Mashduqiah.

Abstract

Educational institutions have an important role in providing quality educational services to their customers, namely students, parents and the community. This research aims to examine the role of customers in determining the quality of educational services and to identify implementation strategies that can increase customer satisfaction in educational institutions. The research method used is qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews and literature studies to understand the quality perspective from the customer's point of view. The research results show that this research makes an important contribution to educational institutions to improve service quality by understanding customer perspectives. The implications of this research finding can be used as a basis for designing policies and implementation strategies that are more effective in increasing customer satisfaction in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of social media optimization in enhancing the brand image of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). With the rapid growth of digital communication, social media has become a critical tool for educational institutions to engage with their audience and improve their public perceptionSocial media plays a vital role in brand identity creation, with professional social media management, structured content strategies, and platform-specific engagement being key factors in achieving successful branding. Using a multi site approach, the study combined observational data and interviews with social media admins from two pesantren, PP. Al-Mashduqiah and PP. Asy-Syarify. The findings revealed that professional social media admins significantly contribute to maintaining a positive public image, that a structured content strategy is crucial for consistent engagement, and that different platforms are more effective for targeting specific audience segments. This research contributes to the understanding of how religious institutions can leverage social media for branding, particularly in a competitive educational landscape. Recommendations include investing in professional social media management, adopting structured content planning, and tailoring content to specific platforms for optimal reach.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of the Umrah industry has intensified the need for high-quality guidance services that address both the logistical and psychological dimensions of pilgrimage preparation. This study investigates the impact of communication psychology on pilgrims’ trust toward Umrah travel agencies, focusing on key communicative elements such as empathy, message clarity, emotional support, responsiveness, and guide credibility. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 268 Indonesian pilgrims through validated Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings show that communication psychology is applied effectively within guidance services and significantly enhances pilgrims’ trust. Empathic interaction, understandable ritual explanations, emotional regulation, and interpersonal warmth create a supportive learning environment that reduces anxiety and increases confidence. Communication behavior that reflects credibility, transparency, and genuine care also strengthens perceptions of agency integrity and reliability. These results confirm that psychological aspects of communication play a critical role in trust formation, complementing operational service quality. The study fills an important research gap by empirically modeling communication psychology as a multidimensional predictor of trust in Umrah services and offers practical implications for agency training programs aimed at improving guide competence and pilgrims’ overall experience.
