Abstract

This research explores the development and the implementation of damage tolerance analysis on weld joints.  Two geometry types of weld joint are investigated subject to cyclic loadings.  The experimental results are used for establishing residual strength diagram and crack growth diagram for both of types.  The results show that the strength behavior may be quite different for different geometry types, even if the materials are the same.

Abstract

Pengembangan produk menjadi hal yang penting untuk dikaryakan, dengan melakukan pengembangan produk akan selalu memiliki kemampuan bersaing dan mampu mengantisipasi perkembangan kebutuhan konsumen, dalam arti kata produk tersebut memiliki fungsi-fungsi yang berkembang pada konsumen. Produk baling-baling pada mulanya hanya dilihat sebagai fungsi penggerak saja, tetapi perkembangan konsumen menimbulkan kebutuhan lain, sehingga dikembangkan fungsi-fungsi lainnya. Pengembangan fungsi tersebut akan menimbulkan alternatif-alternatif produk, selanjutnya dengan penerapan Rekayasa Nilai (Value engineering) akan didapat alternatif yang mampu memenuhi fungsi-fungsi tersebut dan menghasilkan suatu nilai (score) yang dapat digunakan sebagai patokan untuk menenntukan alternatif.Rekayasa Nilai merupakan pendekatakan yang sistematis dan terorganisir. Studi ini dapat mengidentifikasikan biaya-biaya yang tidak diperlukan dalam suatu desain, mencoba menampilkan ide-ide baru yang berkaitan dengan produk yang sedang dikembangkan dan meningkat performansi produk tersebut dengan cara mencari material baru ataupun teknologi yang dapat digunakan.Hasil analisa ini merupakan suatu usulan pemilihan cetakan baling-baling kapal secara umum. Dengan melakukan implementasi studi ini, perlu dijabarkan lebih lanjut oleh para ahli (multi disipliner) dibidangnya. Hasil akhir perhitungan setelah dibandingkan dengan biayanya didapatkan 8 alternatif memiliki nilai (Value) yaitu sebesar 1.9665. nilai (Value) tersebut menunjukkan bahwa performasi yang dimiliki oleh alternatif desain tersebut. Dengan memiliki kemampuan daya saing yang lebih dari alternatif desain yang lain. Alternatif 8 adalah baling-baling dengan seri desain the N.P.L Standard B Screw Series dengan Spesifikasi desain antara lain Jumlah Daun (B) = 4 buah ; Diameter Baling-baling (D) = 8,4 Inch ; Ratio Poros Baling-Baling (dB) = 0,167. Ratio Gerak (Pm) = 0,8 Ratio Ketebalan (t) = 0,045 ; Ratio Area Dauan (aE) = 0,5 Sudut Sapuan (yR) = 12,0o bahan Baku Alumunium.

Abstract

Sebuah skema pengendalian proses tak stabil diperkenalkan melalui proses ramp, suatu jenis proses yang ketidakstabilannya diakibatkan oleh kehadiran proses secara statistik (SPC). Pada skema ini, EPC diterapkan untuk mengendalikan pengaruh drift yang determenistik, sedangkan SPC dengan peta kendali shewhart individual digunakan untuk memantau  galat pengendalian sebagai efek random yang tersisa. Sebuah contoh implementasi skema ini diberikan, dan hasil-hasilnya dibandingkan terhadap hasil-hasilnya skema dengan hanya menggunakan EPC. Skema yang pertama, yaitu integrasi EPC-SPC, memberikan variasi proses yang lebih kecil dibandingkan yang kedua.

Abstract

Construction images are potentially valuable sources of information. However, there are several problemsrelated to its retrieval mainly relating to understanding of the semantics of the corresponding content. Additionally, theinformation is. very much unstructured in nature. These problems have been solved by the development of conceptsenabling the content to be represented in structured form. The framework proposed for this is described. It is based onthe use of domain-specific concepts to retrieve image content and contextual information to improve contentunderstanding. A mathematical framework is also developed based on a Bayesian approach to make the implementationpossible for construction image classification. This robust framework enables fusion of related domain knowledge withnew information in a versatile manner. An example demonstrates how it is possible to combine information from bothavailable image data and domain knowledge to understand construction image content.

Abstract

In some heat exchanger tools are widely used in industries such as power plants, oil refineries, chemical plants and petrochemicals, natural gas industry, refrigeration, and so forth. One example of a heat exchanger found in the poultry feed industry in PT.Japfa Comfeed Branch of Banjarmasin is the economizer, where the hot vapor of combustion in the furnace is used as a feed water heater before entering the boiler. From the results of the study known in the economize coefficient of the highest heat transfer before the overhaul of 1.393.1 Btu / jam.ft2.oF at 92.5 oC, and the lowest heat transfer coefficient before the overhaul of 1,334.8 Btu / jam.ft2. oF at 101 ° C. after the overhaul, it is known that the highest economizer heat transfer coefficient is 1,419.7 Btu / hour.ft2.oF at 99oC, and the lowest heat transfer coefficient after the overhaul is 1,378.6 Btu / hr.ft2.oF at 104.5 oC. Abstract

Electrical energy is the dominant energy needed for human life. One source of electricity income is Steam Power Plant (PLTU). With an installed capacity of     4 x65 MW for public transportation, each unit of acid acid plant has one boiler with 1 economizer as a means of boiler efficiency enhancer by absorbing hot flue gas. To avoid it then in need of maximum care to components of economizer. To see the effectiveness of the economizer it is necessary to observe the economizer. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the economizer. From the results of the boiler efficiency study from March 27, 2017 to April 10, 2017 with a total average efficiency in the analysis of 81.93%. With the highest efficiency on date On March 29, 2017 the efficiency calculated was 83.42% at 02:00. And the lowest on April 2, 2017, an 80.32% efficiency at 09:00. The factor that influences the efficiency ratio is the temperature difference between the incoming gas gas furnace (T_ (h, i)), exit (T_ (h, o)) and the feed water inlet tube temperature       (T_ (c, i)). The research obtained the highest heat transfer coefficient that is equal to 1.647,1 Btu/h.ft2 at 227,4°C on 27/03/2017 and the lowest that is equal to 1.636,91 Btu/h.ft2 at 233°C on 28/03/2017 Keywords: Economizer, Feed Water Tube, Flue Gas, Koefisien Heat Transfer, Heat transfer

Abstract

Indonesia as one of the largest coal producers utilizes this advantage by establishing a steam power plant, one of which is Borneo south PLTU power plant PT.PLN (persero) south of Borneo and Central Borneo Asam-Asam generation sector. One important component of PLTU is air heater to raise the combustion air temperature. Initial heating of ljungstrom type lattest regenerative air  heater in PLTU Asam-Asam unit 2 is carried out cleaning and maintenance on seal and gas side surfaces to optimize heat transfer coefficient and ratio of air intake ratio exposed by forced draft fan and air heated by flue gas in heater air heater elements and transferred to the combustion chamber to make efficient use of new fuel. Measurements were carried out on August 9, 2017 for 2 hours to find out the average value of heat transfer coefficient and temperature comparison of entry and exit from air heater of Asam-Asam unit 2 steam power plant. This research was conducted to find out the value of heat transfer coefficient and air temperature ratio with measurement on the inlet and outlet for two hours. The results of the air heater performance analysis in in PLTU Asam-Asam unit 2 steam power plant in terms of the highest heat transfer coefficient was 62.75 W/m^2.℃ at 2:04 PM, while the lowest heat transfer coefficient was 62.37 W/m^2.℃ at 3:10 PM, and the average heat transfer coefficient is 62.50 W/m^2.℃ . While the highest water heater ratio 9.70 at 3:44 PM and the lowest ratio 8.32 at minute 3:09 PM, and the average water heater ratio 9.01. Abstract

Sebuah metode praktis diusulkan untuk keperluan estimasi model-model probabilistik pada analisis frekuensi  banjir.  Ini  merupakan  sebuah  implementasi  tepat  guna  dari  metode  estimasi  berbasis  L- moments. Model-model yang dimaksud meliputi sejumlah distribusi nilai ektrem, yaitu Gumbel, generalized extreme value, lognormal tiga parameter, Pearson tipe III, log-Pearson tipe III, generalized logistic, dan generalized Pareto. Data untuk keperluan pengujian diambil dari aliran maksimum di dunia nyata. Metode yang diusulkan berupa sebuah prosedur sederhana empat tahap pada aplikasi pengolah spreadsheet. Tidak ada pengodean yang diperlukan. Validasi dilakukan dalam bentuk perbandingan terhadap hasil-hasil menggunakan perangkat lunak komputasi statistik R.  Kesederhanaan metode ini bersama dengan kinerja estimasinya yang relatif tinggi berpotensi untuk memungkinkannya diadopsi oleh kalangan praktisi penyelenggara konstruksi, khususnya di Kalimantan Selatan. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lanjutan juga diberikan.Kata kunci: analisis frekuensi banjir, estimasi parameter, L-moments

Abstract

Tire is important component of a Dump Truck. For transporting material from the loading point and fleet to disposal Dump Truck performance is required. Trouble On the tire will interfere the unit performance. Month period data from January to March show the amount of failure to the unit HD785-7 dump truck tire which can indirectly interfere the performance of the unit. Therefore, analysis of two key performance indicator (KPI) that tread utility ratio (TUR) and lifetime must be done to find the factors that cause failure, as well as find out whether there is a relationship between lifetime and TUR against different types of failure that occurred by using logistic regression. From the analysis, it is known that the tire KPI has yet to reach a given target, the main factor of tire performance has yet to reach the target is human error, operator Dump Truck and Excavator by 44%, from the results of logistic regression analysis of the data for 3 months it is known that the relationship LifeTime and TUR against various types of failure is not significant because Chisq value is greater than the value of 0.05 pr. (5%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various brands of oil against temperature, exhaust emissions, and performance on the engine yamaha vixion 150cc. This study was conducted by taking temperature data, exhaust emissions, and engine performance yamaha vixion 150cc. This research uses three different types of oil, namely super yamalube sport oil, ax7 advanced shell, and pertamina enduro. Temperature testing is performed at engine speed of 1,500 rpm, 4000 rpm and 10,500 rpm using neutral gear, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Performance tests are performed using a dyno test for one test of each type of oil. Once the data in can and in the past compared the results of temperature data, exhaust emissions, and the performance of each type of oil. The best oil temperature test result is using yamalube oil. Testing the lowest exhaust gas emission gas emissions are advanced Ax7 shell oil. Ax7 shell oil produces the lowest exhaust emissions among other oils while enduro oil exceeds the standard exhaust emission limits of CO at 10,500 rpm to 5.42% while the standard is 4.50%. Testing the best performance is using enduro oil because enduro oil can produce the greatest power 13.55 Hp.
