Abstract

Ta’lim Muta’alim is Syaikh al-Zarnūjī’s opus that consists of norms, ethics, and rules for gaining knowledge based on Islamic teachings. Thus, claimants of science could reach their goals to obtain it. This book was translated by Achmad Sunarto into Indonesian language and published by Husaini Publisher in Bandung. After reading it totally, researcher found mistakes in translation, especially mistakes in words selection (diction) in translation. And after analyzed it, researcher formulate the mistakes into 4 parts, (1) translation that is the result of direct transliteration from SL without considering its compability in TL, (2) existence of information loss and gain that effects the translation itself and makes it unsuitable, (3) choosing a word which is not suit with the meaning reference from the source text, (4) translation is unacceptable in TL because it is translated literally.

Abstract

Amr dan nahyi dalam ilmu balaghah memiliki makna yang beragam. Munculnya keberagaman makna ini karena adanya perbedaan the function of language. Roman Jakobson adalah seorang ahli di bidang semiotika, dia telah menjelaskan bagaimana alur berpikir sistematis dalam menentukan makna kata melalui deskripsi fungsi bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori code-message Roman Jakobson untuk mengungkap makna-makna amr dan nahyi dalam ayat-ayat Al-Qur`an. Adapun teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik yang digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena kebahasaan dalam hal ini yaitu mengungkap makna-makna amr dan nahyi, kemudian dianalisis dan ditentukan maknanya. Setelah penelitian dilakukan, teori code-message Roman Jakobson mampu mengungkap sebab muncul ragam makna dalam amr dan nahyi serta menentukan maknanya yang tepat dalam Al-Qur`an dengan menjelaskan alur berpikir dalam penentuan makna amr dan nahyi dengan mengaitkan seluruh unsur-unsur yang terdapat pada the function of language.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the teaching process of arudh wal qawafi, the use of Madrasa platform as an instructional media, and students’ response toward the use of the platform at Syamsul Ulum Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding school, Bandung. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. The subjects were the twelve grade students of Syamsul Ulum Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School Bandung in 2022-2023 academic year. Based on the findings, arudh wal qawafi has been taught in grade XII at the Syamsul Ulum Muhammadiyah Bandung Islamic Boarding School since 2021 since it is seen as an important subject for students. Arudh wal qawafi is taught in stages applying teacher-made modules. At the reinforcement stage of the subject, the Madrasa platform is used as an instructional media. Students responded positively to the use of Madrasa platform in learning arudh wal qawafi since it may help them understand the subject matter. Students as Madrasa platform users are satisfied to the level of 83.5%.
