Abstract

Arabic language learning in schools tends to focus on teaching from the teacher, so this reduces the potential for students to actively participate and engage in discussions that can deepen their understanding of the material being taught. This study aims to see an increase in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary of class X high school students. This study used an experimental quantitative approach with Cluster sampling technique. Data were collected through observation and test. Data presentation was done by validity test, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and n-gain test. The experimental class posttest n-gain results showed a value of 70.4% which was in the moderately effective category or moderate criteria. So it can be concluded that the use of role play models in Arabic language learning can improve mastery of Arabic vocabulary. For future research, it is suggested that researchers develop more objective evaluation methods, as well as design role plays that are more inclusive and consider students' emotional comfort. In addition, allocating time effectively and ensuring equal participation can increase the effectiveness of this method in learning.

Abstract

This study explains the effectiveness of teaching Arabic vocabulary mastery using Gamilab media online games, particularly at the junior high school level. The difficulty students face in learning is due to a lack of supportive facilities, which affects their motivation during lessons. This research employs a quantitative approach, with the experimental method used by the researcher. The experimental design follows the "pretest-posttest one group design."The population of this study consists of 80 students from Mts Muhammadiyah Muallimien Muallimat Jakarta. The sampling method used is purposive sampling, and the sample under investigation includes 25 eighth-grade students from Mts Muhammadiyah Muallimien Muallimat Jakarta, drawn from one class. The validity test results show that 20 (100%) of the pretest and posttest questions are valid. The reliability test, conducted using SPSS 26 with Cronbach's Alpha, yielded a coefficient of 0.733, indicating that the test instrument comprising 20 questions is reliable, as the alpha value exceeds the threshold of 0.70.Regarding difficulty levels, 60% of the questions were categorized as easy, while 40% were considered moderately difficult. In terms of item discrimination, 70% of the questions had a sufficient index, 30% had a good index, and 10% had a poor index. The normality test showed significance values of 0.194 and 0.68, both greater than 0.05, indicating that the data is normally distributed. However, a significance value of 0.43, which is less than 0.05, suggests that the data is not homogeneous. A significance value of 0.000 (less than 0.05) was obtained, further confirming this. The mean scores of the pretest and posttest showed an improvement from 47.40 to 74.00. Thus, it can be concluded that Gamilab media is quite effective in enhancing Arabic vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the methods, strategies, techniques, media and evaluation of Arabic language structure learning. The study uses a literature study with a qualitative method. The data collection method used is the documentation method from various literature related to the research. The data is analyzed qualitatively through descriptive analysis, which is in the form of descriptive information relevant to teaching Arabic language structure. The results of this study indicate that the Arabic grammar teaching method consists of the deductive method, the inductive method, the problem method, the integrated text method and the activity method. Learning strategies are applied based on students' education level, both elementary, middle and advanced levels. The learning media used can be print media or electronic media. The evaluation of grammar learning takes various forms adjusted to the teaching objectives. This study concludes that the methods, strategies, techniques, media and evaluation of Arabic grammar teaching are very diverse, both in type and in application, all of which are adjusted to the grammar material taught and students at each level of education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Book Creator, a digital media platform, in teaching Maharah Kalam Arabic to students at Muhammadiyah 4 High School in Jakarta and to determine its contribution to the learning process and outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive case study approach, descriptive data were obtained through written or oral statements from their participation and behavioral observations. The research subjects were students in class XI IPS 1. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that implementing Book Creator enabled a more interactive and creative learning experience and supported student engagement in the learning process. This media helped students compose dialogues, practice pronunciation, and introduce Arabic vocabulary, while providing space for creativity and collaboration. The discussion shows that Book Creator contributes to the development of speaking skills and strengthens students' cognitive and affective aspects. These findings suggest that this digital media supports more dynamic and flexible Arabic language learning and facilitates various student learning styles through multimedia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Wordwall application in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among students of SMA Muhammadiyah 15 Jakarta. The study is grounded in observed classroom realities in which Arabic vocabulary instruction remained predominantly conventional—teachers writing vocabulary lists on the board for rote memorization—without contextual or repeated reinforcement, leaving most students unable to recall the vocabulary in subsequent lessons. A quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a two-group design was employed: an experimental group (n = 28) using the Wordwall application and a control group (n = 28) receiving conventional instruction, for a total of 56 respondents. Participants were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through pretests and posttests, questionnaires, and documentation. Analytical procedures included normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk and Kolmogorov-Smirnov), homogeneity test (Levene), N-gain score calculation, and paired-samples t-test. The results revealed a significant improvement in the experimental group. The pretest mean score was 51.2 with a mastery rate of 0% (no student reached the KKM threshold). Following the Wordwall intervention, the posttest mean rose to 78.5 with a mastery rate of 82.1% (23 of 28 students passed KKM). The N-gain score of 0.7679 (76.79%) classified the intervention effectiveness as “high.” The Levene homogeneity test yielded a statistic of 1.577 (p = 0.214 > 0.05), indicating that the groups have equal variances. The paired-samples t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group. In conclusion, the Wordwall application is empirically validated as significantly more effective than conventional instruction for Arabic vocabulary acquisition. This study fills a gap in the literature by providing evidence from an Islamic-based public high school in Jakarta, using a two-group design and standardized effect measurement via N-gain scores—dimensions that are underrepresented in prior Arabic vocabulary research at the senior secondary level.
