Abstract

Tuberculosis is one of the world's health problems including in Indonesia. In 2017 the number of new tuberculosis cases in the Deli Tua Health Center area reached 143 cases with a success rate of 76% and MDR TB reaching 15%. This decrease in cases was caused by improper drug uptake and MDR TB medication dosage errors and non-compliance with taking medication. To overcome the problem, Google Earth mapping and calendar documentation were applied. The results of the implementation show that there is a difference which means the completeness of treatment before and after the intervention with RR = 2.21; 95% CI: 1.32-3.69, cure rate for tuberculosis cases with RR = 1.87; 95% CI: 1.17-2.99, the dropout rate for treatment with RR = 1.77; 95% CI: 1.07-2.95, and mortality rate. Google Earth-based tuberculosis case intervention increased treatment completeness by 18.3%, improved tuberculosis case recovery by 15.9%, decreased tuberculosis case dropout rates by 12.5% and decreased tuberculosis case fatality rates by 4.4%. It was concluded that the Google Earth-based tuberculosis case monitoring system was effectively implemented in the work area of the Public health center in Deli Tua. It is recommended to use of Google Earth-based tuberculosis monitoring system.

Abstract

According to Permenkes No. 75/2014 on Community Health Centers, article (1) states that a community health center, hereinafter referred to as a Puskesmas, is a health service facility that organizes public health efforts and individual health efforts at the first level, by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts. The preliminary survey results at level one health facilities show that there are still problems with the use of the p-care information system, its use is not optimal due to several reasons, one of which is the frequent errors in the P-Care application, namely P-Care officers at the Puskesmas often experience problems when going to the P-Care application. perform BPJS patient data entry, causing officers to double-enter BPJS patient data. Based on the foregoing, the authors are interested in conducting PKM which aims to provide counseling on the use of primary care at the Puskesmas Patumbak, Deli Serdang Regency. Puskesmas has a function for community health development, fostering community participation, providing comprehensive health services. The advantage of using p-care services, a more practical patient registration flow, patient data, integrated patient diagnosis process, faster referral process, easier some of the features of the p-care application: Billing Information, Procedures for Registering BPJS Kesehatan Participants Independently or Agencies, Search for Health Facilities Nearby. The importance of providing counseling on the use of primary care at the Puskesmas Patumbak, Deli Serdang regency, in order to improve the quality of service and patient satisfaction with the health workers in the hospital.

Abstract

Senior high school students are young adults who are very active and have broad interactions between each other and their families so that this age group has the potential to become carriers in the transmission of Covid-19. For this reason, this age group needs to build its immune system through various efforts to live healthy behaviors including consuming ingredients / foods that can increase the body's immunity, there are many natural resources in the form of spices that can be used as basic ingredients for making drinks that are useful for increasing body immunity in the body. during the Covid-19 pandemic. The existence of spice plants (red ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar) which are commonly planted by residents around Deli Tua. Red Ginger contains curcuminoid compounds which function as immunostimulators in boosting the immune system. In addition, spices such as cinnamon and brown sugar contain antioxidants that are high enough to ward off free radicals in our bodies. Community service activities were carried out at the Vocational School of the Indonesian Build Education Foundation (YAPIM) by providing education and lectures to class XII students regarding processing red ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar. The purpose of this service is to provide information about the processing of red ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar into traditional drinks that can increase the body's immunity in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The service was carried out by providing an explanation of the stages of the manufacturing process, then continued with direct practice. The results of this community service are in the form of traditional drinks made from red ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar which are expected to increase the immunity of students and the community, then increase knowledge and skills in processing red ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar, especially for extension participants.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan salah satu penyakit kronis ditandai kacaunya metabolisme kelenjar endokrin dan karakter konsentrasi gula dalam darah tinggi akibat rusaknya sekresi insulin dan aktivitas insulin atau keduanya (Depkes, 2012). World Health Organization (WHO) menyatakan bahwa populasi dunia tengah dilanda wabah diabetes dengan wilayah Asia Selatan dan Pasifik Barat memiliki resiko lebih tinggi. Kasus diabetes sekarang ini sekitar 171 juta jiwa dan diprediksi akan meningkat menjadi 366 juta jiwa di tahun 2030. Dengan ini diabetes merupakan salah satu masalah serius bagi kita. Sedangkan biaya pengobatan untuk pengobatan diabetes dengan isi ulang insulin guna memenuhi insulin di tubuh sangat mahal. Telah ditemukan kemajuan dalam pengobatan dibetes mellitus oleh suryowati et al .Dalam penelitiannya, Suryowati et al telah mendapatkan formula pengobatan atau pencegahan diabetes tanpa harus mengeluarkan biaya mahal. Formula itu mereka dapatkan dengan mengekstrak daun torbangun (Coleus ambonicius Lour). Penelitiannya bertujuan menentukan aktifitas antihyperlipidemic ekstrak fenol daun torbangun dalam mencegah diabetes oleh streptozotocin (STZ). Daun torbangun mengandung senyawa fenol dan antioksidan. Banyaknya kandungan flavonoid juga akan bertindak sebagai penekan dalam kontrol diabetes (Cazarolli et al 2008). Tanaman torbangun adalah tanaman yang hidup didaerah tropis dengan daun beraroma sehingga disebut tanaman aromatic. Tanaman ini tumbuh di Negara India, Ceylon dan Afrika Selatan, selain aroma yang tajam bunga tanaman ini mengadung minyak atsiri yang disebut Coleus aromaticus. Tanaman ini juga tumbuh di Indonesia dengan nama Tanaman Daun Bangun-Bangun (Coleus amboinicus). Diharapkan dengan banyak biaya anggaran untuk menangani kasus diabetes,dapat ditekan melalui obat tradisional dengan memanfaatkan tumbuhan bangun-bangun yang mana tidak memerlukan biaya yang mahal.tanaman bangun-bangun masih banyak dijumpai di daerah-daerah di Indonesia,dan pembudidayaan tanaman bangun-bangun ini tidaklah sulit. ntuk pemanfaatan obat tradisional ini secara optimal,maka dilakukanlah kegiatan penyuluhan di desa-desa.

Abstract

Garbage has become a classic problem that is constantly discussed and never finished in Indonesia. The dense population and settlements make the amount of waste produced is also increasing, because the waste is the result of daily human activities. With the increasing number of residents and dense settlements, the amount of waste will also continue to accumulate, therefore we as a group that cares about the environment and is tasked with providing useful and informative information to the community conduct counseling about the importance of processing household waste independently, one of which is the manufacture of fertilizers. compost with a simple composter. It is hoped that this activity can increase public awareness about wise steps to dispose of waste and adapt the concept of zero waste in everyday life. The location of this community service is in the village of West Deli Tua, Deli Tua District, Deli Serdang Regency. North Sumatra. The location of West Deli Tua was chosen as the research location considering the dense population and the density of population activities in the West Deli Tua village which has the potential to produce a lot of waste, especially household waste.
