Abstract

The fitness condition of the elderly is an indicator that can be used to determine the health level of the elderly. The level of physical activity is one of the factors that determine body composition from childhood to old age, proper flexibility helps people to have a functional balance throughout their life and to participate fully in countless recreational and communitarian activities. Lack of reasonable flexibility a greater chance of developing lesions and functional problems. Gymnastics for the elderly is a sport that can be done regularly so that the fitness of the elderly can increase. The study was to determine the effect of elderly exercise on improving fitness and flexibility and speed in the elderly in Sionom Hudon Selatan Village in 2020. Method of research is Quasi Experiment or quasi-experimental research with the design or research design used is one group pre and post test conducted in the Village of Sionom Hudon Selatan.The sample consisted of 12 people in each action taken. The results of the hypothesis test with the Wilcoxon signed rank test test p value α = (0.002 <0.05) which means "There is an effect of Giving Elderly Gymnastics Against Improvement of Fitness and Flexibility and Speed in the Elderly in the Village of Zion South Hudon in 2020".

Abstract

This study uses an observational design with a cross sectional approach 30 respondents who are currently still working at home during the COVID-19 pandemic have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to assess work from home and a Nordic Body Map (processed in google form format) to measure back pain complaints of employees who work online/WFH. The data obtained were tested for normality with the Chi - Square test . The results showed there is no a relationship between the sexes with the onset of lower back pain in the employees work from home days of the pandemic COVID 19, the value of ?-value of 0.795 > ? (0.05) and t There is no relationship between years of service and the incidence of low back pain in employees working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the value of is 0.977 > (0.05). But there is a relationship between age and the incidence of lower back pain in the employees work from home days of the pandemic COVID 19, with a value of ?-value of 0.001 < ? (0.05), there is a relationship between length of employment with the onset of lower back pain in the employees work from home future pandemic COVID 19, with a value of p-value (0.000) < ? (0.05) and there is a relationship between working attitude with the onset of lower back pain in the employees work from home days of the pandemic COVID 19, with a value of ?-value of 0.002<(0.05).

Abstract

The biological aging process causes the elderly to experience a decline in physical function such as postural disorders and changes in walking style that make the elderly vulnerable to falls. The purpose of this study is to find out if trunk muscle exercise has an effect on reducing the risk of falling elderly, and to know the risk of falling elderly before and after trunk muscle exercise treatment. The research population is all elderly in the Medical Rehabilitation Installation of Raden Mattaher Jambi Hospital which is at risk of falling by 18 people. The study sample was seniors aged 60-65 years who met the inclusion criteria of 12 people. Given trunk muscle exercise treatment supervised 3 times a week for 2 weeks. The measuring instrument in this study used Timed Up and Go Test. Data analysis using Simple Paired T Test with a confidence level of 95%. Based on the analysis obtained the average risk of elderly fall in Hospital RD Mattaher before treatment is 13.92 and the average risk of falling after treatment is 7.42. There is a significant influence of trunk muscle exercise on the decrease in the risk of falling elderly with p value = 0.000. It is recommended that the elderly continue the exercise program to maintain endurance.

Abstract

Frozen shoulder or another name for adhesive capsulitis is pain that results in limited Range of Motion (ROM). Frozen shoulder or another name for adhesive capsulitis is pain that results in limited Range of Motion (ROM). Codman pendular exercises are interventions or techniques often used by physiotherapists to increase Range of Motion (ROM). This service activity is carried out through seminars using lecture, question and answer methods and demonstrations. The samples taken were patients with frozen shoulder with a total of 14 people. The statistical test results obtained p-value <0.05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in the study was accepted, namely: "There is an Effect of Giving Codman Pendular Exercises and Mulligan Mobilization With Movement on Increasing Range Of Motion in Frozen Shoulder Patients"

Abstract

Work form home (WFH) has the potential to cause musculoskeletal disorders. Musculoskeletal disorders characterized by generalized chronic pain. Based on epidemiological studies and occupational factors can increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. The implementation of PkM activities for private employees who are carrying out Work From Home, is carried out through notifications via the internet by filling out a google form with a sample of 30 workers who are at home (work from home) during the COVID 19 pandemic. The results show that the distribution of back pain frequency lower in employees showed a mild pain rate of 58% and moderate pain of 41.9%. There is an increase in knowledge regarding the factors that influence the occurrence of lower back pain in employees working from home during the Covid-19 pandemic
