Abstract

The development of renewable energy sources continues in the ASEAN region to meet the ASEAN energy mix target of 23% in 2025 and 31% in 2050. This is to meet the region's estimated 50% increase in energy demand. Renewable energy development projects in the ASEAN region have a beneficial effect on the ASEAN community's social life. This research is a review of the literature, examining journals on the socioeconomic benefits of NRE development through the lens of ASEAN member countries. Several conclusions can be drawn from the analysis's findings, including the following: (1) this renewable energy project can alleviate poverty by involving community members in utilizing natural resources to build power plants; (2) the creation of new jobs; (3) gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to increase by 2.5 percent in 2050; (4) the establishment of gender equality for women in the use of energy for regional development; and (5) an increase in education and scholastic achievement. Abstract

Patikan kebo (Euphorbia hirta) is a wild plant that has a long history as a medicinal herb throughout the world. This article is a review article that examines the potential of patikan kebo as a medicinal plant. The preparation of this article used literature studies from various scientific articles relating to the results of phytochemical screening, ethnobotany, and biological activity of patikan kebo reported in the last 10 years (20132023). This plant has secondary metabolite compounds that have been isolated from all its organs, such as flavonols, hydroxybenzoic acid, tannins, flavones, lignans, and mineral salts. Several studies have reported that the plant has biological and pharmacological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, antidiarrheal, antigout, diuretic, and toxicity. Patikan kebo is also safe to use based on its toxicity test. This review study can be used for the identification and preparation of a patikan kebo monograph. This shows that in the future, patikan kebo can be developed as a medicine from natural ingredients

Abstract

Jerawat (acne vulgaris) merupakan penyakit kulit obstruktif dan inflamatif yang terjadi pada kelenjar pilosebasea (kelenjar minyak). Jerawat seringkali timbul akibat adanya kelebihan produksi minyak pada kelenjar sehingga menyebabkan pori-pori kulit tersumbat. Jerawat dapat disebabkan oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes dan Staphylococcus epidermidis. Munculnya jerawat sering terjadi pada masa pubertas, tubuh mengalami perubahan hormonal disertai peningkatan jumlah kelenjar minyak. Minyak biji bunga matahari memiliki kualitas sering digunakan sebagai minyak sayur bumbu salad, juga sebagai bahan baku industri kosmetik dan pelumas. Untuk mengetahui formulasi minyak biji bunga matahari sebagai krim anti jerawat tipe M/A dan dapat mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri minyak biji bunga matahari memiliki aktivitas sebagai antibakteri terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dengan menggunakan metode sumuran.Krim antijerawat merk X digunakan sebagai kontrol positif. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental, sampel yang digunakan adalah minyak biji bunga matahari dengan konsentrasi 0%, 5%, 10% dan 20%. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa krim antijerawat memiliki tipe M/A dan memenuhi persyaratan homogenitas serta memiliki pH krim yang baik (4,5-6,5). Krim minyak biji bunga matahari dengan konsentrasi 20% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri yang paling efektif terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Jika dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif, maka kontrol positif lebih memiliki zona hambat yang lebih besar daripada konsentrasi 0%, 5%, 10% dan 20%.Kata kunci  :  Antibakteri, krim antibakteri tipe M/A, minyak biji bunga matahari, Staphylococcus aureusAcne (acne vulgaris) is an obstructive and inflammatory skin disease that occurs in the Pilosebasea gland (oil gland). Acne often occurring due to the excess production of oil in the gland, causing clogged skin pores. Acne in general caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Propionibacterium acnes,and Staphylococcus epidermidis. The appearance of acne often occurs during puberty, the body experiences hormonal changes accompanied by an increase in the number of oil glands. Quality sunflower seed oil is often used as salad dressing oil, as well as a raw material for the cosmetics and lubricating industries. In order to prove the formulation of sunflower seed oil as an M / A type anti-acne cream and to find out the antibacterial activity of sunflower seed oil has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus using the well method. The brand X anti-acne cream is used as a positive control. This research method is experimental, the sample used is sunflower seed oil with a concentration of 0%, 5%, 10% and 20%. The sampling technique in this research is purposive sampling. The results showed that the anti-acne cream has the type M/A and meets the requirements of homogeneity and has a good cream pH (4.5-6.5). Sunflower seed oil cream with a concentration of 20% has the most effective antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. When compared with positive controls, which is positive controls have more inhibitory zones greater than the concentrations of 0%, 5%, 10% and 20%.Keywords: Antibacterial, M / A type anti-bacterial cream, sunflower seed oil, Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengetahui konsentrasi gel ekstrak pining bawang yang memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi pada mencit jantan yang diinduksi karagenan. Pining bawang (Horstedtia alliacea) adalah tanaman anggota ginger (Zingiberaceae) yang tumbuh di daerah tropis termasuk Halmanera. Pining bawang biasanya dimanfaatkan sebagai pemasok energi untuk berburu di hutan, mengobati luka dan infeksi, buah bijinya dikonsumsi oleh anak- anak dan dewasa. Manfaat darri penelitian ini adalah Penelitian ini dapat memberikan informasi ilmiah dan kebenaran kepada masyarakat mengenai efek antiinflamasi dari tumbuhan pining bawang, sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif pengobatan inflamasi. pining bawang mengandung senyawa flavonoid, minyak atsiri dan beberapa senyawa lainya yang bermanfaat sebagai antiinflamasi. Penelitian ini membuat tiga formula sampel dengan bahan aktif ekstrak pining bawang dengan komposisi 0 (kontrol negatif), formula I 5%, formula II 10%, formula III 15% dan natrium diklofenak (kontrol positif) menggunakan metode maserasi, dengan interval waktu 30 menit selama 8 kali pengulangan setiap suspensi. Daya hambat udema pada kelompok FIII (15% ekstrak pining bawang) memiliki kecenderungan sama dengan kelompok K+ (Na- Diklofenak). Sedangkan pada dosis uji yang paling rendah daya hambat udema yaitu pada kelompok FI (5% ekstrak pining bawang). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu Pemberian gel ekstrak pining bawang dapat menunjukkan aktivitas antiinflamasi pada mencit yang diinduksi karagenan. Gel ekstrak pining bawang pada konsentrasi 15% merupakan konsentrasi yang memiliki aktivitas antiinflamasi paling baik dibandingkan dengan konsentrasi 10% dan 5% dan Hasil analisis gel ekstrak pining bawang memiliki konsentrasi tepat sebagai antiinflamasi.Kata Kunci :edema; mencit; ekstrak etanol; pining bawang. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration of onion pining extract gel which has anti-inflammatory activity in carrageenan-induced male mice. Pining onion (Horstedtia alliacea) is a member of the ginger plant (Zingiberaceae) that grows in tropical areas including Halmanera. Pining onion is usually used as an energy supplier for hunting in the forest, treating wounds and infections, the seeds are consumed by children and adults. The benefit of this research is that this research can provide scientific and truthful information to the public regarding the anti-inflammatory effects of the pining onion plant, so that it can be used as an alternative inflammatory treatment. Pining onions contain flavonoid compounds, essential oils and several other compounds that are useful as anti-inflammatory. This study made three sample formulas with the active ingredient of pining onion extract with composition 0 (negative control), formula I 5%, formula II 10%, formula III 15% and diclofenac sodium (positive control) using the maceration method, with an interval of 30 minutes. for 8 repetitions of each suspension. Inhibition of edema in the FIII group (15% pining onion extract) had the same tendency as the K+ group (Na-Diclofenac). Meanwhile, at the lowest test dose the inhibition of edema was in the FI group (5% onion pining extract). The conclusion of this study is that administration of pining onion extract gel can show anti-inflammatory activity in carrageenan-induced mice. Pining onion extract gel at a concentration of 15% is the concentration that has the best anti-inflammatory activity compared to concentrations of 10% and 5%Keywords: edema, mice, ethanol extract, onion pining

Abstract

Chingkui, a traditional dish from Lamno, Aceh, is prepared using glutinous rice and coconut, two natural ingredients that are recognized for their substantial health benefits. In addition to providing stable energy, both ingredients support heart health, digestion, and enhance the immune system. Given the mounting interest in functional foods, variations of chingkui that incorporate herbal ingredients such as pandan leaves, turmeric, black pepper, and mangkokan leaves offer additional health benefits, including anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and antihypertensive effects. The present article aims to explore the nutritional content and health benefits of chingkui, as well as its potential development as a functional food. Chingkui has the potential to serve as a viable health food option, offering a distinctive flavor profile while concurrently promoting a nutritionally balanced diet that aligns with the contemporary nutritional requirements of the population.

Abstract

Sambai oen peugaga is a traditional Acehnese dish closely associated with the month of Ramadan and contains more than 40 types of local medicinal plants. This dish serves not only as a complementary culinary delight but also holds significant ethnopharmacological value. This study aims to analyze the role of sambai oen peugaga in supporting health during fasting as well as to explore the underlying local wisdom values. The method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach through a literature review of various scientific and cultural sources. The findings indicate that most plants used in sambai oen peugaga contain active compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, curcuminoids, and essential oils, which exhibit anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunostimulant, and antimicrobial effects. The combination of these compounds supports digestive health, immune function, and reduces oxidative stress during fasting. From a socio-cultural perspective, sambai oen peugaga functions as a medium for transmitting values, strengthening family cohesion, and reflecting a harmonious relationship between humans and nature. These findings underscore the importance of preserving traditional plant-based culinary heritage as part of community health systems and open opportunities for developing locally competitive functional food products.
