Abstract

This article describes the complex implementation of Community Service (PKM) carried out in Kelambir Lima Kebun Village, where PKM activities are carried out to overcome the problems experienced by housewives in managing their finances. This PKM presents a solution to the problem by providing accounting training. The training was conducted using two methods, namely lectures and simulations. This is done to maintain the effectiveness of PKM so that the objectives can be achieved. The results of this community service are considered quite effective in overcoming the problems experienced by housewives, although there are still some PKM participants who do not apply the knowledge gained during PKM so that they do not experience significant changes in managing their finances. It is suggested that the next PKM should not only focus on the quality of increasing the knowledge or skills of the participants but also be able to instill motivation to realise the knowledge or skills in daily life.

Abstract

This article investigates disparities in access to mental health services between urban and rural communities in Indonesia. By analyzing data on service availability, utilization, and barriers to access, the study highlights factors that contribute to unequal mental health support. Findings reveal that rural populations face greater challenges in accessing mental health care, primarily due to a lack of facilities, shortage of mental health professionals, and limited awareness. The results underscore the need for policies that address these geographic health disparities and promote equitable access to mental health services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how interest-based income, interest expense, and interest income impact the net profit of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This data was obtained from www.idx.co.id from 2018-2023, and this study will start in 2024. This study involved 42 companies as population and 25 companies as samples. Eviews 9 application and panel regression method were used to process quantitative data in this study. The results showed that in commercial banks, interest income and interest expense partially had a significant effect on net profit, but interest-based interest income did not significantly affect net profit. Interest income based on interest has a positive impact, while interest expense has a negative impact. Together, fee-based income, interest expense, and interest income have a positive impact on the net profit of commercial banks from 2018 to 2023. Net profit is influenced the most by interest income. Hypotheses H2, H3, and H4 are proven to be true and acceptable as the research results are in line with the hypotheses. In contrast, hypothesis H1 is rejected and cannot be accepted because the research results are not in line with the hypothesis. The level of closeness of interest-based income, interest income, and interest expense variables to net income is very close or very strong, with an R value of 0.976.

Abstract

Introduction: Pain during invasive procedures such as IV insertion in school-age children can lead to trauma and non-cooperative behavior. Non-pharmacological interventions like cold compresses and audiovisual distraction are recommended to reduce pain perception.   Objective: To determine the effect of the combination of cold compress and audiovisual distraction on pain levels during IV insertion in school-age children.   Methods: This research used a pre-experimental post-test only control group design with a total of 30 respondents divided into intervention and control groups. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The research instrument used to measure pain level was the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale. Data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test.   Results: The intervention group experienced significantly lower pain scores compared to the control group with a p-value = 0.018 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference.   Conclusion: The combination of cold compress and audiovisual distraction is effective in reducing pain during IV insertion in children. The combination of cold compress and audiovisual distraction can be applied by nurses as a non-pharmacological intervention to reduce pain during invasive procedures in children. Furthermore, this intervention can be established as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for pain management during IV insertion in pediatric care settings.
