Abstract

Studying informatics offers significant benefits for students, including improving critical thinking skills and enhancing hardware and software skills. MAN 4 Madiun collaborates with Merdeka Madiun University to enhance its students' skills using the school's resources. The D3 Manajemen Informatika provides training for students to introduce informatics, increase student interest in the field, and promote the study program by conducting simple website creation training using WordPress. This training was chosen because, based on observations, students were still unfamiliar with the web and the laboratory lacked of specific web application. This training can improve students' skills due to its ease of use and learning. The simple web training using WordPress at MAN 4 Madiun was successful and smooth. Students who participated in the training gained new knowledge about websites and gained new experiences in creating their own websites. Students also gained a better understanding of Merdeka Madiun University and the  D3 Manajemen Informatika Department.

Abstract

Abstract: - Students in the Informatics Management Study Program at Universitas Merdeka Madiun must complete a Final Project (TA) as part of their graduation requirements. However, choosing a project topic that matches their interests and abilities can be difficult. To help solve this problem, a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) was developed using the Weighted Sum Model (WSM). This study focuses on designing and developing a system to assist students in selecting appropriate final project topics more efficiently and objectively. The WSM method is used to assess several theme options based on a set of established criteria. The system was built using the Waterfall development model, which involves analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. Black Box Testing was conducted to verify the system's functionality. The application supports two user roles: administrators and students. Administrators manage the system’s data, including criteria, theme options, evaluations, and user accounts. Students can view recommended project topics and update their profiles. Testing showed a 100% success rate, indicating the system’s reliability. By using this DSS, students can make more informed decisions about their final project themes, improving both the selection process and the overall quality of their research through the use of educational technology.

Abstract

In the business world, particularly in the livestock feed trade, selecting the right supplier is a crucial factor in maintaining business continuity. However, the supplier selection process is often carried out manually and subjectively, which increases the risk of decision-making errors. This is evident in the case of selecting the best livestock feed supplier at Toko Pakan Selo. This study utilizes a Decision Support System (DSS) employing the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, as Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) is capable of evaluating various alternatives based on multiple criteria, such as feed price, feed quality, delivery accuracy, distance to location, and product availability. The system developed is expected to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and objectivity of the supplier selection process. Furthermore, the system aims to replace the traditional manual method with a web-based digital solution. The results of system testing indicate that the system is capable of assisting Toko Pakan Selo in identifying the best supplier and supporting the stability of livestock feed supply. Based on black-box testing, the system functions as intended.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the traffic light model for a five-arm intersection. Two types of traffic light models were studied, namely the standard type and the modified Norwegian type. Traffic lights have a fixed phase scheduling sequence. The traffic light modeling method uses Petri nets to graphically represent the behavioral structure of mathematical modeling symbols in distributed discrete systems. The results of the study show that the Occurrence Graph of the standard traffic light and the modified Norwegian traffic light meet the Coverability Tree requirements for all possible finite states. The Coverability Tree method also includes the properties of boundedness and conservation, along with all transition sequences that fire. The Petri net model satisfies the live property because it never enters a deadlock or a state where no transition can fire. The Petri net model has also satisfied the Invariants property, which represents signal behavior that does not change over time. The Petri net model is declared correct and valid because it satisfies all required properties. The model can present the structure of traffic light behavior at a five-arm intersection.
