Abstract

Analisa perbandingan aliran perlu dilakukan untuk menentukan performa terbaik dari beberapa model yang diujikan. Dalam kasus ini ada dua jenis variabel yang diujikan yaitu tipe hull kapal dengan menggunakan bulbous bow dan tanpa bulbous bow. Umumnya penggunaan bulbous bow diperuntukan untuk kapal diperairan dalam karena kemampuan nya yang dapat mereduksi gelombang. Sementara untuk diperairan dangkal masih perlu dikaji kembali. Oleh karena itu, dengan dilakukannya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menunjukan efektifitas dari penggunaan bulbos bow. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memodelkan kapal berukuran sama dengan bulbous bow dan tanpa bulbous bow. Dengan simulasi CFD (computional fluid dynamics) performa kedua model ini dapat diketahui, perbandingan nya didapat dari besaran nilai wake atau kecepatan aliran yang dihasilkan oleh kedua model beserta hambatannya. Dari kedua model didapat wake kapal dengan bulbous bow memiliki nilai yang kecil. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan kedua model nilai hambatan kapal tanpa bulbous bow 0,6% lebih besar dari kapal yang menggunakan bulbous bow. Sementara untuk wake kapal tanpa bulbous bow lebih besar 1% dibandingkan kapal dengan bulbous bow.

Abstract

E-learning is learning by utilizing information technology as a learning media, E-learning can be done by online or offline. Polimarin has a lot of information technology-based equipment that is used as a learning media to improve student or also called cadets competence. Many variables has affect the level of success of cadets in learning and achieving the competencies required by the seafarers' competency standards. In this analysis, the aim is to determine the influence of Knowledge, Attitude and Skill on the Competence of Polimarin cadets, especially the Nautics study program, so that both teachers and polimarin institutions can increase what variables have a strong influence on competence. The method used in this research is to use the quantitative approach method of multiple linear regression with SPSS-19 software as an analysis tool. The questionnaire was given to cadets for the 4th semester of the Nautics study program who will immediately carry out marine practice to assess the competence of cadets who have carried out learning in the Simulator. The results of this study, the knowledge variable has a significant influence on the competence of 0.274 or 27.7%, for the skill variable affects significantly by 0.350 or 35% on the competence of cadets, while the attitude variable has an influence of 0.113 or 11.3% on the variable competence. From this it can be concluded that the skill variable has the greatest influence on the competence of cadets, followed by the variable knowledge as the number two influence. And the last is the attitude variable that affects the competence of cadets in the Polimarin Nautical Study Program.

Abstract

This study discusses the design of a Blow Off Valve (BOV) valve in a turbocharger system on a diesel engine on board, BOV is used to release the air pressure contained in the scavenge air chamber when it experiences an increase in pressure due to the reduced frequency of opening the air duct that enters cylinder chamber. The purpose of this study is to analyze the selection of blow off valve designs that are in accordance with the need to reduce surge phenomena on diesel engines of ships using turbocharge and to analyze the quality/ performance results of the blow off valve through Solidwork software. The air pressure will still put pressure to get out of the system. This will cause the pressure in the system to increase and this air pressure will flow back to the turbine and will cause damage to the turbocharge component. This phenomenon is called turbocharge surging. So, air flow is very important to ensure that no air pressure flows back into the turbocharge. The selection of valves in accordance with the design techniques of several alternative choices is very decisive. Numerical calculations and spring performance analysis of a selected valve are carried out using solidwork software.

Abstract

Navigation buoy dipasang dilaut dan digunakan sebagai penanda batas alur pelayaran yang aman. Buoy mempunyai warna dan bentuk tertentu sesuai dengan fungsinya. Selain itu dilengkapi pula dengan lampu yang akan menyala pada malam hari, cuaca berkabut, maupun hujan. Pada penelitian ini fungsi buoy selain sebagai peralatan bantu navigasi akan dimaksimalkan dengan penambahan peralatan sensor cuaca seperti suhu, kelembaban udara, tekanan udara. Semua sensor tersebut diproses oleh mikrokontroler. Data yang dihasilkan pada proses tersebut akan dikirimkan menggunakan media komunikasi LoRa menuju master yang berada pada jarak tertentu. 2 buah node sebagai model dari 2 buah buoy, dan 1 master ditempatkan berperan menerima data dari node. Masing – masing node dilengkapi dengan sensor, mikrokontroler, dan Lora. Node akan mengirimkan data ke master atau gateway yang dilengkapi mikrokontroler dan Lora. Hasil pembacaan data pada node akan ditampilkan pada layar master. Pengujian telah dilakukan di sekitar area kampus. Jarak terjauh dari node yang dapat diterima oleh master didapat sekitar 450m dengan antena standar 3db. Pada pengujian multi node dihasilkan bahwa node1 dan node2 bekerja dengan baik secara bergantian dalam mengirimkan data ke master.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct an in-depth exploration of effective strategies in improving the quality of technology-based learning in vocational college environments, with a focus on the implementation of online learning platforms. The method adopted in this research is a qualitative approach, which involves data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The research results reveal that the use of online learning platforms is able to make a significant contribution to increasing interactivity, flexibility and accessibility in the learning process in the vocational college environment. However, most of the success in this implementation is influenced by several key factors, including adequate infrastructure readiness, lecturer competence in using technology, and effective administrative support. By implementing these strategies in a holistic and integrated manner, it is hoped that vocational colleges can maximize the potential of technology-based learning to improve the quality of their education and teaching.
