Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence about the influence of Antecedents Work Family Conflict on the Level of Attendance at Work (Case Study UPTD Sagulung District of Batam). The population of this study is 130 female teachers in UPTD Sagulung District who teach grades 4, 5, 6 who need higher responsibility than teachers who teach in grades 1, 2, 3.The sample in this study is determined after the distribution of questionnaires, where the questionnaire is given to all the population and how many questionnaires are returned and worthy to be processed. This study used primer data which obtained by questionnaire. The result showed that involvement in work have a significant influence on the work of conflict, involvement in the affairs of the family doesn’t have a significant influence on the family conflict, involvement in work have a significant influence on the family conflict, involvement in the affairs of the family doesn’t have a significant influence on the work of conflict, expectation in a job doesn’t have a significant influence on the work on conflict, expectation in a family doesn’t have a significant influence on the family conflict, expectation in a job doesn’t have a significant influence on work family conflict, expectation in a family doesn’t have a significant influence on work family conflict, expectation in a job has a significant influence on a family conflict, conflict in a job has a significant influence on work family conflict, conflict in a family has a significant influence on work family conflict, and conflict in work family has a significant influence on the level of attendance of a person in a job.

Abstract

This research has mainly aimed to know and analyze customer behavior in selecting of green marketing cosmetics products. Sample in this research were taken using purposive sampling method. There were 114 respondent in this research. The usage of regression formula can be done as all of classical assumption test had been through and qualified. All over the test shown that social class influence significantly toward buying decision at the level of significance 0.000 < 0.05. The secondary result of this research found that group of reference has influence significantly toward buying decision at the level of significance 0.001 < 0.05. The third result shown us that family has influence significantly toward buying decision at the level of significance 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile result for simultaneous test shown that social class, group of reference and family, have influence significantly toward buying decision..It has been proved at the level of significance 0.000 < 0.05. All of these imply that all of hypotheses in this research can be proved, or accepted

Abstract

Effective leadership is a vital requirement for the survival and success of the organization. Effective leadership not only affect his subordinates but also he is able to ensure that his subordinates achieve best execution of the work. Thus, in this study aimed to examine the effect of Leadership (X1), motivation (X2), job satisfaction (X3) effect on performance (Y) Employees in the Riau Islands Provincial Transport Department. The number of respondents research counted 128 employees by distributing questionnaires were subsequently analyzed using SPSS for Windows version 21. The statistical t-test results showed that both the leadership variable (X1), motivation (X2), and job satisfaction variables (X3) effect on the performance of employees ( Y). F test results stating that all the variables in this study affect the performance of employees. In this study the results of leadership are variables that have the greatest influence on employee performance. And regression estimation results show the predictive capability of all independent variables on employee performance (Y) amounted to 40.3%, while the remaining 59.7% is influenced by other variables outside the study.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of authentic leadership on hope, trust in leaders and positive emotions. In addition, this research also tests the influence of hope, trust in leaders and positive emotions on organizational commitment. This research conducted in survey research framework with cross-sectional data type. Total of 140 respondents completed the questionnaire with self-administered survey. The Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ), State Hope Scale, The Trust in Management Scale, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (HEAT-Short Version), and Organizational Commitment Questionnaire were used to measure the variables involved. Hypothesis testing with SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) shows several findings. The results showed a positive and significant effect of authentic leadership with hope, trust in leaders and positive emotions. Positive influence was also shown in the trust on a leader to organizational commitment. While the positive influence of hope and positive emotions towards organizational commitment is not supported.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the influence of motivation for entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education to the interest in entrepreneurship. The study was conducted at the Department of Labor in Batam with people who participated in counseling as respondents in this study. The population in this study was 150 respondents. Mechanical sample calculations using formulas slovin, so that the samples obtained a total of 109 respondents. The results showed that entrepreneurship motivation significantly influence the interest in entrepreneurship, this can be seen from the significant value of 0.041, the significance value is less than 0.05. Extension entrepreneurial significant effect on interest in entrepreneurship, this can be seen from the significant value of 0.000, the significance value is less than 0.05. Motivation entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education simultaneously significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship, this can be seen from the significant value of 0.000, the significance value is less than 0.05. R square of 0.248 or 24.8%. This means, variable motivation and counseling were able to explain the variable interest in entrepreneurship by 24.8%, while the remaining 75.2% is explained by other factors not included in this study.

Abstract

Consumers are one of the key factors determining the success or failure of companies in marketing their products. Companies must know and understand consumer behavior on the target, so that each company should be able to understand the viability of the company and work hard to make policy in creating new strategies for their products face stiff competition in which competitors can make the customer's purchasing decision. The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze: Influence of Price and Quality Products Buying Decision Against Holcim At PT Semen Batam. Based on the results of research and discussion that has been described, it can be concluded that the variable price and quality of products influence purchasing decisions in PT Semen Batam Holcim. The coefficient of determination (R) indicates that the variable quality of the product is able to explain 93.9% of purchase decisions, while the rest is explained by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

This research intend to know and analysis the influences of the Competence, Human Resources Development, and Motivation factors towards employee performances in the RSUD Embung Fatimah Batam. The result of collecting data with primary data source from 120 respondents of the employee in the RSUD of Embung Fatimah Batam. The kinds of research are explanatory case study and analysis method using multiple regression analysis, with using method to exam with validities person rank and reliabilities cronbach alpa exam toward research instrument. The result of the research and evaluation are shown that Competence, Human Resources Development, and Motivation factors have positive influences and significant towards employee performance as good as stimulant or partial.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of accounting information and non accounting information on the decision credit with experience as a moderating variables in Private Banking at Batam City. The population used in this study are all the companies applied for credit application in 2014 amounted to 200 debtors. The research sample was taken by using purposive sampling method resulting in 136 companies. The method of analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis with residual test. The first hypothesis simultaneously shows all the independent variables affect on the decision of credit with significant value. While only partial of current ratio, cash ratio, debt to equity ratio, time interest earned ratio, accounts receivable turnover, profit margin, and business reputation variables that influence the decision of credit. Inventory turnover, assets turnover, credit guarantee, debtor education, and business diversification did not affect on the decision of credit. Testing the second hypothesis showed that the existence of experience as a moderating variables have a significant effect on time interest earned ratio variables thus further strengthening their relationship with the decision of credit. However, no significant effect on current ratio, cash ratio, debt to equity ratio, accounts receivable turnover, inventory turnover, assets turnover, profit margin, credit guarantee, business reputation, debtor education, and business diversification variables thus further weakened their relationship with the decision of credit.

Abstract

This study tried to see Does the company's profitability may be affected by liquidity and solvabilits in PT Indosat period 2011-2015 either partially or simultaneously using multiple linear regression analysis as well as quantitative data in the form of financial statements of PT Indosat. From the test results we got the result that the liquidity and solvency together can significantly influence the profitability of the company, but in partial liquidity but no significant effect on the solvency significantly affect the profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to determine consumer response based on geographical segments to the market shock in Batam City, especially in the nine districts that are in the geographic area of ​​Batam Island. Market segmentation is a concept that is very important in this life. In business activities, market segmentation is used for selecting target markets, looking for opportunities, undermine the leader segment of the market, formulate communication messages, serve better, analyze consumer behavior, and designing products. To analyze the response of various segments to the shock market in Batam used qualitative method with descriptive approach. Data analysis method is Model Analysis Spradley with departing from the broad focus of study and then find more widespread. Batam city composed of 12 districts in eight districts scattered as many as 25 shock markets. Geographically, the market is divided into geographic units as diverse as country, region, province, city, or neighborhood; while in this study, geographic units based on those districts. Geographically, all the shock market in the territory of Batam Island. Spreading shock market dominated by the District of Batu Aji with 10 shock market following the five District of Sekupang with shock market, while the District Sagulung four shock market and the District of Batam City as much as two shock market. For Districk of Nongsa, Batu Ampar, Bengkong, Sei Beduk, each one shock market, and the latter districts Lubuk Baja did not have a market shock at all.
