Abstract

Acacia mangium Willd is one of the promising wood species, it is a fast growing species and can be used as raw materials for pulp, furniture and wood working. Musi Hutan Persada Company has planted Acacia mangium Willd in large scale for pulp processing raw materials and for wood working industry. The faculty of forestry of the Nusa Bangsa University in collaboration with the Musi Hutan Persada have examined the effect of “Sonic Bloom” to the Acacia mangium Willd germination and seedling growth. The results of the research are the following : (1) The seed germination with “Sonic Bloom” provided percented of germination of 82%, better than those without “Sonic Bloom”, i.e. only 34%; (2) With Sonic Bloom,  the height of 80-days old seedling is 129.6 cm higher than those without “Sonic Bloom”of only 90.7 cm; (3) the diameter of 80-days old seedling with “Sonic Bloom” is 0,24 cm higher than those without “Sonic Bloom” harving diameters of only 0.19 cm. The study concludes that sonic bloom treatment is very useful for the seed germination and the growth of Acacia mangium Willd seedling.

Abstract

Intansi harus melakukan berbagai macam strategi agar dapat bertahan dan terus berkembang dalam situasi bisnis yang penuh dengan tantangan saat ini. Salah satu strategi yang penting dilakukan adalah menguatkan employee engagement karena merupakan faktor yang mampu meningkatkan motivasi kerja karyawan sehingga karyawan berkinerja tinggi dan pada ujungnya akan meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi employee engagement yang diterapkan oleh UNIVERSITAS XZX, sebuah perusahaan transportasi publik yang berkedudukan di Kabupaten X, dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja karyawannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UNIVERSITAS XZX telah menjalankan beberap strategi employee engagement, yaitu program pemberian reward kepada karyawan berprestasi, pemberian program umroh bagi Karyawan yang bekerja lebih dari 10 tahun, pemberian pelatihan berkala dan program benchmark, program bounding seperti outbound, acara bugar bersama, dan pengajian mingguan; dan program komunikasi internal seperti townhall meeting.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the competency of certified and non-certified physical education teachers at Public vocational high school Tangerang Regency. The method used in this study was a survey. The population of principals and vice principals at Public vocational high school Tangerang Regency, the sampling technique used the Purposive Sample technique, the sample was taken from only 12 schools that had certified and non-certified physical education teachers. The questionnaire instrument. Based on data obtained from respondents, 12 principals can be seen that the majority of principals at Public vocational high school Tangerang Regency, namely 100%, assessed that certified physical education teachers have high competencies, while 100% assessed that non-certified physical education teachers have moderate competencies. Meanwhile, according to the assessment of the Vice Principal of 12 respondents, it was said that the majority of Certified Physical Education Teachers, namely 83%, have high competencies and 17% have moderate competencies and the Competence of Non-Certified Physical Education Teachers, namely 75% have moderate competencies and 25% have low competencies.
